Communication, information and installation went great. Price was very competitive. Shane explained everything extremely well and Alex installed hot water tank beautifully. Shortly after Alex left a gas leak from an old valve on the piping to the tank occurred and needed to be replaced, Alex came back same night and fixed it. This is a 5-Star company.

Recently called to have a minor toilet issue fixed before Thanksgiving, was unexpected and I figured it could be fixed in a hour or so. I've used Blantons before and had a issue in being offered a 3k$ pump for a 450$ fix and the proper pump installed after the fact. Which, they corrected but still left me in the dark with having bought a 3k pump from them that they told me would handle my problem.
Well, short story long that was 3yrs ago, I figured we could rectify thing's and have them fix a minor toilet problem for our house my wife and I have in Hanover Park.
During this, I was never called, I was given a window from 8a.m-5p.m, for a minor toilet problem....are you kidding me? That's crazy!
Still kept my appointment, after paying the 50$ dispatch fee, when I had to call the next day for a update on my appointment, which was at 12noon, after sitting around waiting for 4hrs, I was told my tech would be coming between 1pm-3pm, never happened, had to call around 245-250, to then be told the technician I had prior was switched and that my new technician would be heading my way shortly. He didn't show up till 5pm, mind you, I have been waiting all day, I had to call multiple times to follow up to make sure they were still coming. When the tech showed up, all he did was walk in and tell me we pretty much needed a whole new toilet based on the kind we had, which he said, was "CHEAP". We just bought this house and have had to fix several problems that were unforeseen from the previous home owners so to be told our, to my knowledge, toilets are cheap, they're still new toilets that were installed when we bought the property, was very uneasy to hear, but never the less we still wanted to hear what he had to say. He then leads with we need a new toilet that parts for this toilet were extremely hard to find and the the cost for fixing it would be over 1700$ which would cost more then buying a brand new toilet and installing it. Which from them, would of been 1400$ with providing a new one and installing that. Had we provided a toilet, it would of been 960$.I'm a Commercial electrician by trade and have a decent understanding as to how this whole process works and I'd have to say it was a very very poor showing by a company I had high hopes for. He DIDN'T even test our toilet or care enough to see for HIMSELF as to what the problem was or to see if that was even the problem I described at all. He didn't hesitate to tell me that we needed a new toilet.
The reason for this review is because I had another company come out 3 days later, they called me first thing in the morning, (I was at our property in Norridge which was over 30mins away) he beat me to our property in Hanover Park, we said the same thing to this technician and he immediately said no sir, I would appreciate it if you let me see the issue for myself so I can confirm if that is even the problem. Never once did he call our toilet "cheap", or tell me how hard parts were to find for this toilet. He gave me 2 other options to address upgrading our toilets, while fixing the problem we had. It was a simple fill valve change out and adding that with the dispatch fee of 100$, the total was still under 500$ which was what my wife and I had in mind it would cost. The bill was 423.71$. The toilet flushes nicer then it did before and had we not gone with this other company, I would of spent 1400$ on something we wouldn't have needed and I would of had a very very pissed off wife.
I hope this review helps correct how some of your techs run calls, after this, I won't be recommending Blantons anymore which im sad to say because I had really high hopes. Thankfully, I was able to save 1000$ and put that twords the holidays.
-Best wishes, Max M.

Rick and his team were here today to install a new CIPP liner in the sewer pipe leading from our house to the main. Because it was not correctly done at the time of the house construction, lining was a good solution. Rick and his team were extremely friendly, helpful, skilled, and attentive to detail. When I mentioned about our recently planted landscaping, he assured me that they would be very careful - and they were. The job was completed efficiently and expertly. The final pipe videos confirmed the quality of the work. I could not be more pleased with both the work done by Rick and his team, but also the interactions with J. Blanton plumbing. They kept me informed about every step of the process. A great company with great workers!
