Their technicians are clearly experts who know exactly what they’re doing, which gave us total peace of mind throughout the process. The quality of the work is outstanding, and the results were well worth the investment. We’re thrilled to be ready to enjoy what feels like a brand new deck!

Second time I've used them on this deck and they did another fantastic job. Crew worked hard to make sure bushes and underneath concrete pylons were tarped off properly. They were courteous and did an excellent job cleaning up afterward, like they were never there. And I believe that their stain is far superior to anything you can get in the big box stores. I didn't have any boards that needed to be replaced since the first time they did it. And the color is awesome. Thrilled with the outcome.

Deck Tech stripped off layers of old stain down to the original surface, applied new stain and it's like a new deck. They protected all the plants and didn't leave a speck of mess. Only wish we used them first time around.

Deck looks great. They meticulously prep everything and did a great job, even on the skirting. What was most impressive is that two weeks later I had to call a pest control company for carpenter bees. They checked the deck and said it was an excellent job Deck Tech did sealing up the deck.

Deck Tech did a phenomenal job on our deck! The job was not easy, as we have a pond and landscaping surrounding both decks on our property. The technicians meticulously wrapped all of the landscaping with plastic and the area near the water. There was no overspray in any of our landscaping or water area. The technicians had great attention to detail and took their time. With that being said, our decks turned out beautifully and we will definitely recommend Deck Tech to any of our friends and family in the future. Thank you Deck Tech!

I’m late writing this review because the holidays took over—but Deck Tech absolutely earned it.

Last summer, we had a new deck built on the front of our house here on the South Side of Chicago. Because of timing, we had to wait until fall to get it stained. When I was ready, I scheduled an appointment through Deck Tech’s website and heard back pretty quickly, which I really appreciated.

The scheduler was friendly and clear, especially about needing to coordinate sealing the deck as well. Communication was easy and straightforward the whole time—no guessing, no back-and-forth.

Within a week, an awesome crew showed up. They were professional from the start, confirmed all the details, and got right to work. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. The prep work was thorough, the stain was applied evenly, and they were careful with every part of the space.

When they finished, there was zero mess. No stray stain. No leftover materials. No evidence they’d even been there—except for a great-looking deck.

The color options were plentiful, and I love the color we chose. It completely changed the look of the house in the best way. The deck was stained about three months ago, and it has already held up beautifully through snow and winter weather so far.

I was very satisfied with both the cost and the final result. From scheduling to the crew on site, Deck Tech was easy to work with and did quality work. I would absolutely recommend them and hire them again—I even asked for business cards to pass out to my neighbors.

Good corporate team as well as the people that did the staining. The cost much higher than prior staining, but to be expected.

They were very prompt at first, came out right away. After initial visit I was told a carpenter would contact me, never did. I then texted the guy that came out and never heard back with a price or anything.

Deck tech never finished the job. The sides of the deck were never cleaned and sealed even though I asked multiple times to have that done. I thought that would have been included in the initial estimate as sides of the deck as well as the deck floor (to my thinking) would all be part of the deck. It seems the initial assessment of the work that needed to be done was incomplete. When I inquired, they told me to do that part of the job was additional and not worth their workers coming out again even though I assured them that I would pay any additional fee. I called multiple times and was promised a call back each time, which never happened. Then they charged my credit card for the balance owed withOUT my knowledge and sadly without completing the sides of the deck. I am really disappointed in the follow through and customer service.
