Reviews of local pros in Des Plaines, Illinois

I had a great experience with this landscaping company from start to finish. They were professional, reliable, and really took the time to understand what I wanted for my yard. The team showed up on time, worked efficiently, and paid attention to the small details that make a big difference.

The final result completely exceeded my expectations—everything looks clean, well-designed, and beautifully maintained. It’s clear they take pride in their work. Communication was also smooth throughout the process, which I really appreciated.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality landscaping and will be using them again in the future!

This team did a fantastic job digging out my old, grub infested front lawn. They treated the soil and added fresh topsoil and new sod; all for a very reasonable price! They were quick and efficient, communicated well every step of the process, and cleaned up everything. I would definitely recommend!

Choice Cut did an amazing job with the landscaping in my backyard! Looks great and was very well priced as a bonus. Highly recommend them to anyone in the need of landscaping services.

We have been customers of Choice Cut for many years and have referred several of our neighbors, friends and family to them because we love their service and how well they take care of us and our lawn. They handle our spring cleanup, they've done many landscaping projects and plantings for us, and also built our raised garden beds. Last fall they did a full lawn renovation for us and it totally changed the health and look of our grass. No matter what kind of project we need, they have been there to consult with their expertise, and deliver with their crew, on time and on budget. Highly recommend!

Great experience with Choice Cut. I would most definitely recommend their services. Quick, easy, great price.

Thank you to Choice Cut for redoing the backyard grading and planting in one of our projects. Very professional team! Know what they’re doing & an absolute pleasure to work with!

★★★★★ Outstanding Full-Service Landscaping Transformation

I posted the completed views first followed by the before pictures.

We hired Choice Cut Landscape Inc. to completely overhaul our property, and we couldn't be happier with the results.
The Project: They removed our outdated 1960s-era bushes and installed brand-new landscaping around our entire house. One standout detail—they carved a clean, beautiful edge line that makes mowing the lawn effortless and keeps everything looking crisp.
Design Process: Their designer, Paula, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She collaborated with us hand-in-hand every step of the way, helping us select amazing plants that matched our vision perfectly.
Installation & Team: The crew was phenomenal. They arrived early each morning and worked until at least 4:00 PM daily, maintaining excellent communication throughout. We were also impressed by how many management-level staff came out during installation to ensure everything stayed on track and met their high standards.
The Bottom Line: The entire process was seamless from start to finish. If you're on the fence about investing in your landscaping, take it from us—it's worth it, and Choice Cut Landscape Inc. is the team to trust. We love our new yard and highly recommend them!

Had a wonderful experience with Choice Cut. I called them on a Tuesday in the middle of their busy season, they came out and gave me an estimate the very next day. I needed my yard/landscaping cleaned up and mulched within a couple of days for a party at the house and they didn’t hesitate and got the job done professionally and beautifully. Very fair price for the amount of work I had and the crew they sent out were awesome! Shoutout Angel. Thanks Ray and Choice Cut team!

Never got back to me and seemed very rushed

I am so grateful to you for the work that Choice Cut performed at my home. I have spent many summers in Wisconsin looking at beautiful landscapes and being at peace in the serenity of the view. After Choice Cut finished the project in my yard, I feel like I am transformed back to the peace I find in Wisconsin. That is not a small feat since I live between downtown and O'Hare.
Thank you Choice Cut!! (check out the before and after transformation from overgrown dead trees to a park like setting)

My front and back yards needed A LOT of work Armando at Vivas did an amazing job... Had pavers fixed, stumps of trees pulled out, new trees and shrubs planted also fixed some broken concrete and installed a pond....I cant say enough. Both my neighbors now use them after seeing what they did with my yard.

Vivas Landscaping is an innovative and effective team to partner with on projects. The principal Armando has the vision, detail orientation and work ethic for competitive pricing and over delivers with his skill set. Vivas Landscaping will bring your property to a gold standard!

My yard looked like a weed infested bomb site, and an area next to the garage was overgrown with weeds and small trees. The front of the house was ugly too with HUGE bushes that had been planted over 35 years before. I saw Armando's work (at VIVAS Landscaping) and requested his services. I couldn't be happier! Not only has he been doing weekly lawn maintenance which has vastly improved the grass, but he also cleared out the mess growing next to the garage and replaced it with a nice, clean bed of pea gravel. I then had him remove all the bushes from the front of the house, and build a two-level raised bed which is amazing in its workmanship. He worked with us planning out the bed's layout, provided options and suggestions, even found us the retaining wall blocks that we eventually used, and installed an ingenious underground drainage system to carry off excess water from the bed. Can't wait to plant the bed in Spring! He also replaced another rundown area next to the house with river rock to make it look attractive. Armando is organized, detailed, thorough, punctual and works hard. He is professional and at the same time very nice and easy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend VIVAS Landscaping!

Truly amazing experience, I highly recommend, right up their with Jesus, deep fried moose, and the portable toilet

We use Angel's Landscaping to manage all of the landscaping in our complex. They take excellent care of both the lawn and flowers, and snow removal is excellent as well. Friendly staff, punctual, and affordable. I would recommend them to anyon.

This company just hit my husband's car on the street today while I was in my window watching them and then they just drove off. Not just unprofessional, they are criminals. Please do not hire them. The police have been called and hopefully they have insurance. We did not hire them, they were on the street for a neighbor.
