This is the most professional, courteous, and efficient tree service I've ever used. And their rates were extrememly competitive. I called to get an estimate on getting two huge tress cut back. Juan got to me that same day to give me an estimate. Although they were booked up for two weeks, he manages to get the job done three days later. (They were in the neighborhood for another job and worked a past their hours to fit me in that afternoon.). I would highly recommend this company! Great job, guys. Keep up the good work!!!

Progressive came last week and we could not be any more satisfied with their work. We went for bid to trim two trees in our yard and of the five companies, they were not the low bid but their price was very competitive. The actual trimming, cleanup and overall service were too notch. I will recommend Progressive to anyone looking for tree service. This is a family run and operated business, so you know you are dealing with the owners who actually care about their service and reputation, and it shows. Top notch.

An extraordinary experience. We faced the daunting challenge of dealing with a massive 175-year-old Elm tree that had fallen prey to Dutch Elm Disease and was entangled in power lines. Initially, we signed a contract with another company to remove the tree. However, the situation turned sour when they arrived after waiting many months and unexpectedly asserted that the agreed-upon price was meager. They blamed one of their estimators who no longer worked with them. In addition, they were insulting and blamed me for wanting to put the lives of their crew in danger. Ultimately, that company backed out of the job, leaving us stranded. The City of Evanston offered no advice but insisted we remove the tree as soon as possible since it was a hazard to public safety.
In our time of distress, we reached out to Progressive Tree Service for an estimate, and their response was commendable. From the beginning, they exhibited professionalism and a genuine concern for the job, including their workers' safety. Their team was trustworthy, well-prepared, and at ease, proving their expertise in handling challenging tasks.
Progressive's assistance was a lifesaver, and we are immensely grateful for their support in resolving the situation efficiently.

Best prices in town. Family owned and great customer service. I've had many quotes and I loved how Juan was no nonsense straight to the point and amazing work. Juan and his men did everything they agreed to take out and more. My neighbor did not believe us when we said progressive tree service will remove the tree entirely, stump, roots and all with the quoted price. Will recommend this company to all. Very happy!

Diego and crew were amazing - if I could give them ten stars, I would! Emergency situation where a neighbor's gigantic spruce tree toppled over into my yard due to a storm. Diego came to my home, provided a quote and crew were here within a couple of hours.

Tree and cleanup were completed by 1:00 p.m. that day. My neighbors were impressed as was I.

Progressive Tree Service is amazing! We removed two trees from our backyard, and Juan and his team did an amazing job!!! They are extremely affordable, professional, efficient, respectful, and kind. They removed both of the trees without damaging anything on our property, they removed one of our fences and put it right back where it was (in order to get one of their machines into our backyard), once they finished the project they cleaned up everything so well (there wasn't a trace of anything left behind), and they left us the woodchips as well for landscaping. I have already recommended Juan's company to family members who also need trees cut. I shopped around and got quotes from 6 different companies before deciding to go with Progressive Tree Service, and I'm glad that I did. You won't regret going with them.

I was feeling very frustrated after a man came to give me a quote for cutting down our tree and demanded a deposit as a commitment. He kept changing the appointments and cancelling them for an entire month. Finally, I contacted Progressive and they quickly came for a reasonable and fair quote. They gave me an appointment and kept their word. The man who came to do the job was professional and friendly. When his team arrived, they did an excellent job and were very efficient. They also cleaned up another large tree with dead branches for a reasonable price. My yard was left spotless after they were done. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs such services..

Wow - Progressive Tree Service was AMAZING. Their bid came in at half of what other companies asked. They arrived promptly and the crew leader was exceptional. The entire crew worked efficiently, safely, and very intentionally. It was like watching a tree surgeon. They were extraordinarily careful not to damage anything and they cleaned up all of the debris. I am so pleased with their service and I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

Progressive has been taking care of our trees for several years and the trees have never looked better (I've lived in this house for over 30 years, so that means something). We had a large, compromised, silver maple (>36”) in a difficult location near our house; power lines on two sides. David Conrad, an experienced, professional arborist/estimator for Progressive, assessed the tree (needed to be taken down—interior rotting, hazard to house) and provided a competitive quotation w/in a day or two. Having sought 2 other quotations, we moved ahead with Progressive Tree Service. Communication with Progressive—quotation, insurance documentation, and scheduling---was excellent! They are pleasant people to deal with.

Given the size of the tree and difficult location, I thought the removal project would take most of a day. Nope---with the skillful use of a crane by Eloy and his crew, the tree was on the ground, stump ground-up and site cleaned-up by noon! Late in the day a truck with a small crane loaded the remaining large logs. I will also add that I was impressed that one of Progressive’s owners came by during the morning to check-up on the project.

Progressive Tree Service did a great job, start to finish. Not all the tree services are as well-equipped as Progressive. There are a number of landscapers/tree services that offer to do tree removal. But, many are tree-climbers with chainsaws and ropes which can be fine for smaller projects. Without qualification, I recommend Progressive Tree Service.

Progressive is a great and very professional company. The trimming and cleanup they performed today was top notch. They did a good job reviewing the job with me prior to starting (even using a laser pointer to specifically highlight the areas of the tree they would remove). They also trimmed other smaller branches that were part of the “haircut”, as the crew explained. Our tree was dying in several spots so we really needed this done asap before the next storm to protect our deck so thanks again to Progressive, I can finally stop worrying now!

They were very reasonably priced for removing a tree (that was more like a double tree as it V-ed right past the trunk) and a large tree trim. They were prompt, had great communication, and they cleaned up so nicely when they finished. I think they left it better than they came. I’m blown away and so pleased. Highly highly recommend. I’ll call them for any future tree needs!
