Arrived on time and were very professional. Paul replaced a thermostat for a heated floor and tested/reset heater for steam shower. He confirmed everything was working properly before he left. Making the appointment was easy and office staff were friendly. The confirmation emails/texts were helpful. Would definitely use Current Electric in the future.

Highly recommend Current Electrical Contractors. Added a secondary service panel, meter, an EV charger and rewired the garage. All work done on time and per their quote. Explained the process and followed the project from start to finish - needed multiple approvals and had to coordinate with ComEd. Able to troubleshoot and deal with issues as they arose - a special thank you to Arek who was most helpful throughout. Would use them again for any project - they have the know how and do things the correct way.

One of the best experiences with a contractor I can remember.

Eric walked me through the Tesla wall charger and the scope of work, warning the pipe would have to be painted/covered to look good, and I agreed.

I was quoted a couple weeks out, and a fair price compared to what other Tesla owners were charged by other contractors

Their installers Movie and Even, came out on time, warned me about the cosmetic pipe issue a 2nd time, and finished earlier than promised.

Dylan and Ryan were very professional and the install looks great! They were very accommodating when we realized we wanted an install that was a bit more complicated than the one we originally had in mind. I would definitely recommend Current for anyone looking to install a home EV charger.

Current Electric handled all of the electric when we built our home 12+ years ago. They did a great job. Since we moved in we have had many occasions to use Current for new projects and improvements we have made. New lights, hanging fixtures, adding outlets and many other small and large projects. Every one we work with is very nice and professional. Electricians we worked with 12 years ago are still with the firm. Their staff is well trained, trustworthy and very competent. They are quick to respond to an e-mail or call. Every appointment they have been on-time and cleaned up extremely well.

We used Current Electrical quite a few years ago for another lighting project, and we were pleased with their work, but today's experience was amazing! We needed a dimmer put in, and Mike Storino was at our house completing the task 15 minutes after we placed the call!!! He was friendly, courteous, and obviously knew exactly what to do because he got the work done quickly and successfully! What a lovely guy! That's what I call great service!!!

Mike and his crew did a great job installing a drop fixture and new light switch at our Glenview house. Smaller sized job, but got A+ attention and a great crew. Will be using them again for sure.

Julian from Current Electrical was very professional and polite. Did a nice job of separating the circuit for my washer/dryer and sump pump. The whole process took less than 45 minutes. The price is reasonable as well. Would definitely use this company again!

Asgard Creations has been working with Current for almost six years. They were highly recommended to me by another contractor after several mediocre experiences with other electricians.
They did not disappoint. They have a bunch of great guys doing the work. They get in and out fast, they don't make a mess, and their work is top notch.
Their management also does a good job. They've always been prompt with estimates, easy to schedule, and they have kept to their scheduled commitments.

I got to work with Ovi and Ryan — they were awesome! My project took 2 days and each day they had shown up about 10min early for the 8am start times which I appreciated since it I needed to head into the office. The communication was great also - they walked me thru everything each day so I’d know what’s going on. The overall work was superb too in terms of quality; they did some great work and I highly recommend them for your electrical work needs.

Dylan and Brian were fantastic. We’ve worked with Dylan on another previous project, and he was wonderful to work with then as well. Both times we needed help with relocating electrical outlets, hiding wires, and mounting TVs. My husband and I agree that Current Electric is one of the best service companies we have ever worked with. They’re professional, friendly, and extremely good at their job!

Dylan was great at identity and solving my electric problem and even corrected other minor electric issues in my home. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Current Electrical Contractors did an excellent job for us, below budget, on time, with smart, competent, conscientiously neat, and very personable staff, who offered advice, answered all of our questions, and left us with a house that is electrically sound for the 21st century. They replaced our 100-amp 75-year old panel with a 200 amp panel, which will accommodate future installation of an EV charger and a fully electric stove when desired. They logically re-organized and re-balanced our circuitry, with appropriate re-wiring as needed. They installed GFCI outlets wherever recommended by the electrical code. Our garage is now PHEV capable. Our kitchen now has dedicated circuits, and all outlets are GFCI. We had a mysterious kitchen exhaust fan with a mind of its own that had spontaneously only run twice in 32 years. We should have worried more about it, but we didn’t. We thought it would need replacement, and that we better insure the soundness of its electrical wiring. Tom Rafferty, who ran our project, thought it might be revived if it got good electricity, and he persevered until he neutralized its bad wiring, and installed good wiring. And Tom was right. The fan motor turned out to be just fine, and now the fan runs like a jet engine. Very fun. Also fun are our closet lights, formerly activated by pull strings which broke years ago, which all activate by motion now. And the LED lighting in our formerly darkish-basement is now so bright that I think it will cure my SAD this winter. To summarize, we’re very happy. We will always use Current Electrical Contractors in the future. We highly recommend them.

We needed to do a water proofing project but the outlet for the sum-pump didn't meet the village code, then our village found out that we had 3 electrical panels which is out of code too. We were told to combine the 3 panels into one (a 60 breaker panel). We had an older house with two expansions. 10 companies visited, 7 of them didn't quote because the project was too complex. Current Electrical Contractors gave us a very reasonable price, and we are very satisfied with their work. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Current Electrical Contractors. The electrician that came to our home was Dylan. he as personable, knowledgeable and explained everything clearly as he went along.

We hired Current as we have been having flickering lights and some brief outages that ComEd has indicated are likely in the home. An earlier electrician failed to find the issue. So this was a second opinion.

Dylan was thorough. He determined that the problem is very likely is in our home and made some limited repairs while there. Although he was there for a while, we were only charged for an hour.

He affirmatively found that there were no life safety issues, which was reassuring. He also made a number of suggestions for simple fixes that did not require further service from an electrician. Lastly, he did recommend future work that we might consider given the age of the house. This was not a surprise given the presence of many add-ons to our electrical system over the years.by others whom I would not characterize as highly as Dylan and Current Electric.

Every individual I interacted with was amazing! I sent them some pictures via email of the problem, and Mike was able to diagnose the issue quickly before even sending a tech. Once my electrician did arrive, he finished the job in about twenty minutes, even going out of his way to rescue my cat when she escaped the house. Thanks so much!

Prompt scheduling, fair pricing. Henry, the electrician who came, was excellent-- he listened well, understood our goals, worked diligently. Overall, expectations were exceeded.

We had Ovi and Bartusz handle a full panel replacement in our condo to accommodate a brand new Eco Smart ECO18 tankless water heater. I went through literally almost a dozen other electrical companies that either quoted too high, never responded to a quote request, or fell off the map once I wanted to engage services. Nevertheless, Current Electric came recommended by someone from Effective Air HVAC in Glenview -- another great firm.

I've attached a photo of the actual final results of where our water tank used to sit, which is now a clean, simple tankless setup with two 40 amp feeds which they fed through existing conduit in-wall --- all other firms said it COULDN'T be done. Well they proved them wrong.

VERY Happy with the results and we love the new tankless. Never going back to a tank. But please ask for Ovi and Bartusz by name if you need service. These guys were professional, answered all questions, and finished all of their work in a day and a half - as promised! Yes Current Electric will cost you more than the handyman down the block but they stand behind their work and provide excellent expertise which, when it comes to your hot water needs, can't be messed with.

Having them come back for moving a light switch in our laundry room very soon as a result of the great service on my first engagement with them.

Recent service and electrical repair work from Eric at Current Electric was excellent. He was efficient, explained what was needed and why, gave us very practical options and in the end, fully managed and repaired all the electrical problems in our 100 year old house! This crew is amazing! From the first point of contact to the last, they always made sure we understood the issues, possible solutions, basic electrical knowledge, and costs. They shared ideas on how to reduce costs, which is always appreciated. Punctual. They arrived when they said they would each day. Shared what they were focused on for the day and where they left off. When they were done, it was like they were never here. I can't say enough, we truly enjoyed their expertise and service!
