I had struggled with drainage issues since moving into my current residence 15 years ago. I had hired other contractors to fix the problem and continued to have issues. Within 2 days of work the problem was solved. No matter how much rain Mother Nature has in store, my family is now able to enjoy our entire backyard. The KD landscape team was professional, neat and tidy. I will definitely use KD for any of my future landscape needs.

Kevin and the team did a fantastic job with our outdoor kitchen. The attention to detail and quality of the product was top notch (no shortcuts). If your are in the Chicagoland area with a substancial hardscape project on your hands you can feel confident they will do the job the right way the first time even with substantial building code and technical challenges.

We hired K & D to landscape and hardscape the front of our home in the summer of 2016. From our initial design meetings John, through the installation process with Greg and his team, we found K & D to be truly professional. They know their trade, are creative, are attentive to customer needs, are reasonably priced, and they do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. We could not be more thrilled with both the process and the outcome. I also feel competent to care for all of the plants thanks to John's very informative exit run-through. We interviewed several different landscape architects in advance of our backyard patio and landscaping project this fall, including Kevin Manning and Dan Stone of K&D Landscaping. We gave everyone some general input on what we were trying to achieve, but it was clear that K&D stood apart with their design creativity, ability to understand our needs and attention to detail. There were no surprises. A very collaborative process from start to finish. The larger firms we spoke to approached our project as a work order. These guys listened, created and delivered as if it were their own home. We love our new backyard and highly recommend giving these guys a call if you’re shopping around.

KD Landscaping designed and installed landscaping, hard scaping, drainage, and a dry pond for water retention in the summer of 2022. I'm so glad we chose them because I know that no other company would have done the job nearly as well.

We started by working with their designers to solve a list of problems in our backyard that included everything from drainage, to needing multiple entertaining spaces, to plant specifications, and fur baby requirements. Kevin and Daniel came up with an amazing design that addressed every concern and more.

We were working on a tight deadline and even though a few curve balls came up, they delivered everything on time and on budget. Their crew was methodical and planned every step perfectly. I was also impressed that when issues came up they problem solved instead of coming back with their hands in the air and no solutions. Everyone on the KD team was kind, thoughtful, and really cared about delivering the best possible outcome.

KD just completed a makeover of our backyard, including a stamped concrete patio, multiple new beds with a variety of trees and shrubs, addition of a hot tub, a natural rock set of steps, and correcting the irrigation system design. All of their work was top notch. The owner is very attentive and hands on with the work. KD also has a number of subcontractors specializing in screening in patios, painting, electrical, natural gas connections and gutter covers, all of whom were high quality and responsible. We will work with them on any outdoor project we have.

We had KD Landscaping redesign our side garden working around bushes we wanted to retain. At the same time, we asked them to replace our flagstone walk way, which we had done ourselves. What an incredible improvement once completed. Existing colors in the remainder of our landscaping were taken into consideration when recommending a new design. The spacing and planting take into consideration the maximum growth of each new bush or tree. We were given great directions on how and often to water along with fertilizing directions.

Every person we worked with from KD was very professional. I would strongly recommend them.

I was wanting my landscaping redone at the front of my home and sides. I had several other quotes but KD communicated and helped answer my questions far better than anyone else. Cara and her crew were great! I had a few questions after they were completed and they were quick to answer and help. I really appreciate everything they did for me!
