Extremely knowledgeable, timely service, amazing customer service, and great work. Highly recommend this company!!!

Awesome! These guys are the best. Brian was just here. Checked everything out thoroughly. couldn't say enough good things about the prompt attention and quality of service! Thank you!
-
Both repair men were very informative and helpful. Allen was very professional. Had some difficulty getting them to honor the yelp coupon, however, they made a call and ended up honoring it.

I wish I had checked reviews with the first two heating and cooling companies I've had to fix my A/C. I finally found a great company which answered my questions and corrected the problem. The service and knowledgable service man were exceptional.

Super impressed with their efficiency, courtesy, and immediate service...even on Super Bowl Sunday! Big thanks to Jim and his quick work, I know any future Heating/Air-conditioning needs will be stress free.

Guaranteed Comfort and Energy (great-service)…I must tell you a short story…My AC went down yesterday O/A noon-1pm…we called a company which we used in the past “In…” well, no name calling” Anyway, THEY stated “we will send someone out as soon as we can” this repetitive answer when on and on for several call back to this company. Finally, at 9:23pm we were finally notified that “they will be unable to make! And they may not be able to make it the next day. I was ^%$#& to put it politely…my entire day was wasted sitting here in the HOT house! Well, enough of Unrealizable Service… Anyway, At 9:35pm we called guaranteed comfort and energy. They Scheduled us with an appt, arrived on time the following day and Jeremy (company serviceman) repaired, explained and provided courteous service and Kathy (office dispatcher) called to provide us updates, changes etc. with our appt. The overall service of Guaranteed Comfort and Energy was…OUTSTANDING!!! A+

This is a tough review to write, as there was a lot that I liked about this organization, but there were also a number of challenges. I will do my best to articulate my experiences.
Cost. Overall, this organization charges a healthy price for their work. While I don't mind paying a good price, I do expect a certain level of service for paying top dollar.
Communication is definitely not this organization's strong suite. There was some follow up work that needed to be done, and rather than them being pro-active, it required us to call them and get on their schedule.
There were two follow up issues that required their attention. On both occasions, they put forth a solid effort to rectify the issues, and ultimately, I was pleased. One of the issues was pretty major, and while they did fix it, it caused us to endure a lot of trouble and mess in our home. I was rather disappointed that we didn't receive a proactive call from management to apologize and check in. As I said, they did make it right, but it really caused me to do extra work that wasn't anticipated or appreciated.
In the meantime, I did have them provide me a quote for another product, and found that they were significantly higher than another, professional contractor. So, they didn't win this business, but I am open to having them bid additional work in my home.
On a very positive front, the employees of this organization are extremely polite and conscientious. It is nice to have a professional presence when someone is working in your home.
Energy savings. With the insulating and sealing, we have seen a sizable decrease in our energy usage. In this area, we are extremely pleased.
I am pleased with the overall quality of work, and the fact that they made sure that I was satisfied with the end result. If they would be more proactive in their communication, and would have reached out as we dealt with a few 'issues,' I think they would have been worthy of a higher rating.
Would I / will I do business with them again? Yes, they will be invited out to quote additional work that we may need in the future. -
Guaranteed Comfort was recommended by my daughter and son in law. Owner, Jim, and techs Chris and Preston were professional and provided excellent service. They educated on their work and the operation of the equipment. Very friendly and helpful.

We had been noticing the temperature rising in our house for a few days and couldn't figure out why. By the time we figured out that something was wrong with the A/C unit it was already late Friday afternoon! Fortunately for us Guaranteed Comfort came to our rescue! The technician arrived at our house on Saturday morning and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was pleasant and professional. Great service and great company. I will use them again!

Wish I could give 0 stars. My AC unit outside stopped working. They promptly sent over a technician that was spouting off sales-speak about efficiency before he even looked at anything. He told me the compressor went out on the unit. They sent in their sales specialist who told the compressor went out because it wasn't matched up properly with central air unit inside of my house. He quoted me at least $5000 to replace it all, and challenged me to get a second opinion. I did. Rival air conditioner man found that I simply had a blown capacitor on my outdoor AC unit and had it replaced within 30 minutes costing me around $100.

Wouldn't you know my A/C would go out on the HOTTEST day so far this year. I called Guaranteed around 1 P.M. on what was to be one of their busiest days so far. By 5 P.M. The owner Jim was at my house to diagnose the problem. After paying others nearly $800.00 to fix my A/C, Jim found the problem within the hour. He and two of his crew, Jeremy and Chris, along with Jim's son worked until 1045 P.M. to replace my out side unit. I couldn't have asked for better, nicer people to repair my A/C. Their dedication to thier customers is TOP NOTCH. Out standing JOB guys and THANKS so much!!!!

BUYER BEWARE: We called Guaranteed out to check our carbon monoxied level as our alarm had gone off when we ran our boiler heating unit. The service tech shows up and says the reading is the highest he has ever seen at 4000 parts per million. Not once when the service guy was there did our CM alarm go off.
Next, the service guy said there was nothing he could do to fix the unit. Then he said he would leave a list of options for fixing the unit. Then he said it would cost thousands to fix it. He then said he had to call his boss.
The owner Jim came out to look at our boiler. First thing he said was I am glad we didn't read about you in the paper. Started putting the scare into us about carbon monoxied. He then explained he couldn't track down the comapny name on the unit. He said the company must have only been in business a couple years. The boiler is an Edwards, the biggest boiler company in the world. I found a parts supplier by googleing on my phone.
Then he claimed that my hot water heater is about to go out because they only last 10 years. No issues with the water heater ever. Then he tried to sell my wife and I on an $8,000 boiler/water heater combined unit. Said it would normally be $9,000 but was going to give us a 15% discount. He said he could start work the very next day if we called to get financing right away.
We got very nervous and called a friend that has worked in the heating cooling industry. He came over and told us that many of these companies work on the scare tactics that we experienced with Guaranteed.
The only issue with our boiler was that the vent stack had a build up of leaves because our chimney didn't have a hat/cover. They never once said that may be the issue. Total cost of repair $554 to clear the leaves and install a new hat. As I said, BUYER BEWARE!!! Get a second or third quote to make sure you don't get hooked like we almost did. -
I have had excellent experiences with Guaranteed over the past 2 yrs. Recently I have been working with Chris who is knowledgeable and punctual. They are in business to stay in business and take care of customers, not pushy at all, and very helpful. I signed up for the comfort club, it seems like a good deal and it has already saved me some money on follow up service calls. Great company, great people, use them!

Jim and his entire team (Chris and Brad did our install) were a Godsend to our family! Our AC unit died during the hottest part of this summer. Not only did Jim come out promptly and help us assess our situation, but he also spent the time that was needed to help us understand our best options. We had a brand new system in our home in just a few days, and it is AMAZING!
From the start, we were met with professionalism, courtesy, intelligence and understanding of our situation and our needs. Every dollar we spent was on what we needed and nothing else. Our home has never been as comfortable as it is now, and it would not be that way without Guaranteed Comfort and Energy. Do not talk to anyone else before giving them a chance to help you with whatever you need; you will not be sorry! -
I got home late Friday and my AC was out! It was the weekend and I knew it was going to be HOT, I didn't want to be with out my AC any longer than I had to.
I called Guaranteed Comfort & Energy and they said they would be out to my place early Saturday morning. They came when they said they would and fixed my AC right away, the cost was a bit much for just 1 little part, but, I was happy that I did not have to wait long at all. The service man was very profesional and got my AC fixed quickly! -
I am retracting a favorable review that I left for Guaranteed Comfort and Energy out of Collinsville IL . The owner is Jim Fleming.
Jim is a very good salesman and knowledgeable about his trade. It is his business ethics that is at issue. Bottom Line is to be very careful if you are going to deal with this company.
I had Jim come over to my house to give me a quote for a replacement outdated A/C unit that was having a hard time cooling my house.
I agreed to a sweet talking man who sold me on a Trane Heat pump and a rebuild of my existing furnace at the cost of 7000.00 along with a bunch of promises that had to be worked out latter of which some he fixed and others he tried to break the bank on.
Here is a list of what went on.
First Day no show due to vehicle breaking down, I Lost a day of vacation to be there.
Next day Installed unit in the rain, hmm big red flag.
After install came the final inspection from JIM. He was not happy with the way the technicians installed a cold return air. He calls the installer and told them to come out the next day to correct. They did.
A couple days later I noticed that I did not receive a new electrical disconnect as promised nor did I get a complete new A/C line set. Instead I got a mixture of new and old line set because they felt it better not to disturb the concrete in which the old lines went thru. After a complete loss of Freon and a resolder of the joint I was assured it would not leak again. They did replace the old disconnect with a new one. The reason for the old one was better left alone because of the rain.
A couple months later the upstairs and the down stairs was off by 12 to 15 degrees. The new air return was going to fix that. No problem they came out again and put baffles in the duct work to balance out the house. This worked great in summer but come winter and the house is still unbalanced and to date is still that way. I gave up on this.
Had a new 600.00 smart thermostat that needed new firmware but had no way to update it because it did not come with a 20.00 memory card. They gave me a new memory card no cost.
A new high dollar smart blower motor that was replaced in the heater is running so fast that it is hard to hear TV. They determined it was bad and replaced it after pulling it out and in about 6 times. Now a year later it is making a new loud noise and that was going to cost me 800.00 for a replacement of the squirrel cage. For the money I spent it should have come as a replacement when they did the original install. Today I still wonder how it got out of balance. After all it was only pulled in and out about 6 times. Cost me 70.00 to hear about that. I told Jim no thanks. I bought a brand new one from York and replaced it myself in 30 minutes for a total cost of 79.00. While i was in there I noticed how the technicians ran the new wires from motor into a panel that eventually would have shorted out. I called and they did come out again and fixed it.
I was told I would get a rebate for my electric bills for the next 12 months after 4 months I started to make calls and on the sixth month eventually they did get that straighten out.
Now the straw that made me retract my great review. The heat pump dies in December 2014 it is 18 months old. A high pressure line explodes they come out and again I am bent over when I was told it would cost about 1100.00 to resolder a line and refill with Freon. I asked about how many hours we are talking about and was told between 2 and 3 hours. But I get a break and they will do it for 600. I am not going to pay them 200 or 300 an hour to fix a factory defect. I did get to pay another 70.00 for their time. -
After renovating our home 3 years ago, our HVAC system was not up to par. In the summers we had to run window A/C units on the 2nd floor and in the winter the heat was running constantly (running up power bills of $300-400 for at least 6 months out of the year) . We thought we needed a second unit on the 2nd floor to manage the temperature difference. We asked Guaranteed Comfort and Energy to come out for an energy audit of our home. Jim told us exactly what we needed to do and said a lot of it can be done ourselves if we wanted. While we are asking Jim to make some improvements to our existing system, my husband is a handy man, so he took Jim's advice of what we could do ourselves to save some money. WOW! What a difference!! No need for window units this summer! Our power bill has been cut in half and the A/C is keeping up no problem even in this heat wave! I recommend taking advantage of the consultation with Jim. Do yourself a favor: live in comfort while saving money on your utility bills!

We had an exceptional experience with this outfit and Jim (owner) certainly honors his word on all your expectations. We couldn't have asked for nicer, more professional and respectful technicians. AND, we want to include their newest member, Donell Lewis, who is in training and will also be an added plus to their enterprise. These guys went above and beyond anything we imagined and would recommend this company to all serious energy savers out there. Chris should go into teaching!!

I received a phone call from home on a Thursday afternoon with the news that we had no hot water. Our old propane water heater had bit the dust after 14 years of use. I called Jim that afternoon and asked him for a replacement recommendation. He spoke highly of and recommended a Navien Tankless Water Heater. After doing some research, I called him back Thursday evening and asked him to get me a price on a Navien system. He called me Friday morning with a quote, and said he could have it installed the following morning. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the courteous and rapid response! Chris arrived Saturday morning at 8am and our new system was completely installed and functional by lunchtime. We have been using our new tankless system for about 6 weeks now and I have been completely satisfied…no more complaints about running out of hot water!! Jim and his crew were courteous, professional and unbelievably clean (they even wear shoe covers when walking into your home!).

We recently had our boiler go out (on a freezing day, of course). Guaranteed Comfort & Energy answered our call before 7 AM and had someone there by 10. They got everything working, but there were still a lot of problems with the boiler, so we ended up going with a new one. They installed it quickly, and they credited the cost of the first repair toward the new boiler. Even though it was a complicated job, they didn't bump up the cost, and they did a great job cleaning up. We couldn't be happier with our new combination boiler/water heater.

Guaranteed Comfort and Energy is a wonderful company! They are always good about taking care of their customers and the technicians are all friendly, awesome people. Shoutout to our favorite tech, Chris, who has helped us solve a few mystery problems that we've had over the years and for being such a joy to work with and chat with on your service calls to our house. Gregg and I are very appreciative of all your hard work!
