Carlos and his team were fantastic to work with. He came up with a beautiful plan for our backyard. He listened to what we wanted, took our ideas into consideration, and developed a phenomenal landscaping plan to really elevate our backyard. Also, when we had trouble with one of the plans he came back to review and made changes with no additional cost. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and reasonable. Definitely recommend him for any of your landscaping needs

Montano’s Landscaping has just wrapped up a project to replace our patio. We are very happy with the final result. It’s beautiful! It came out better than we had imagined. The crew did a wonderful job. They worked hard and they were careful with everything else on our property and they cleaned up after themselves every day. This is our 3rd job with Carlos and his crew. The first was in 2010 in the front yard and it still looks great today. We won’t hesitate to use them again when we need another landscaping project.

Carlos and his crew were extremely polite, professional and provided top quality work. They were very responsive to all communication and kept us informed along the way. Carlos was able to provide a variety options and ideas within our vision and price range, and the work was completed in a very timely manner. Carlos and his crew designed and built us an absolutely gorgeous stonework patio and integrated low voltage lighting system. His design was beautiful and we had him build it exactly as designed, including color choices. The crew worked straight through to completion, demolishing and removing a large 17 year old deck and underlying old concrete patio through the finishing touches on integrated plantings and lawn restoration. They are not cheap, but you get what you at for.

Our neighbors now tell us we have a “million dollar” backyard. Couldn’t be happier and we are now in the early phase of working with them to do some serious work at our daughter’s house.

Carlos and his team completely transformed our backyard, making it accessible to my family which includes a wheelchair user. He put in a paver walkway and patio and landscaped the rest of my yard with trees and plants. I get compliments from all my neighbors as they walk by.
Our project was plagued with permitting challenges but Carlos was with us every step of the way and created something even better than I imagined.

Consulted Carlos after many quotes and were never happy with the consult. Carlos arrived on time and was very patient explaining. He returned after 2 weeks with plans and very relaxed discussion of options. Very happy and so pleased. His workers and crew are top notch. If it wasn’t for reviewing previous customers on line I would have never called.

We are so pleased that we chose to work with Carlos and Montano's Landscaping! Our project was relatively small, but Carlos was responsive and made us a priority from the start. He communicated very well, from the initial appointment to provide the quote through to the end of the process. He provided thoughtful suggestions and was simultaneously receptive to what our needs and requests were. We are thrilled with how our new decorative retaining wall looks and what it brings to the front of our house. His crew was respectful of our property and left it cleaner than when they arrived. We redid our entire yard end of summer last year and I hired Montanos solely based on all of the amazing feedback and reviews everyone gave about them. Carlos came out and met me last fall and I showed him some pictures of what my dream yard would look like. He saw my “vision” got to know the person I am (extremely picky) and gave me a yard that I still can’t believe is mine. I had some issues at the beginning of my project, Carlos was out of the country and still called me from Spain to assure me everything would be taken care of.
I have magnolia trees, 12’ hornbeam trees that are going to make a “living wall” for privacy, hydrangeas, red chokeberrys, azaleas, boxwoods, viburnum, honeysuckle Kodiak orange...things I would of never thought of but look fantastic together. This man knows his stuff! We are still finishing up my project, but it is so beautiful so far and so me. I highly recommend them!!

Montano’s Landscaping had recently completed installing a new patio at a good friend’s house when they referred us to Carlos for an opinion on replacing our patio. Our friend’s were very happy with the work Montano’s had done and even more so personally with Carlos.

We initially contacted Montano’s and another firm to provide a quote and initial design. There was no comparing the results. Carlos’ initial design blew away the competition. Other than some general guidelines on size and cost, our only criteria had been that we didn’t want to look out after the work was completed and wonder what had really changed.

We relied on Carlos’ for the design ideas. We knew functionally (fire feature, island, kitchen, and accommodations for an outdoor video stand) what we wanted but we weren’t quite sure of the materials or the layout. Carlos literally spent hours with us, dropping off samples, reviewing the positive and negatives, continuously looking for other materials based upon our feedback. We never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. With each change in materials, Carlos provided a revised estimate clearly identifying the impact on price.

In the end, we chose natural Bluestone full color range for the base and Techo-Bloc Mini Creta blocks with Raffanato caps for the walls.

Work began with the removal of the old patio. The Montano’s crew, led by Carlos’ father, Juan, was fantastic. They were always open to questions, performed meticulous work, and cleaned up at the end of each day. The entire crew has the mindset of finish carpenters. Regardless of whether an area was visible or not (inside storage, for example), the inside was finished with flooring, etc.

We loved the look of the bluestone and had Montano’s replace our front concrete walkway.

Today, we have the patio that we couldn’t envision without Carlos’ guidance. Through the process, we also gained a trusted friend in both Carlos and Juan. How rare is that?

Montano's Landscaping transformed our retaining wall from the 20th to the 21st century, resulting in a clean and newer look to our house overall. Landscaping companies have different designs, but Carlos's vision was clean and complemented the house's design and improved function, exactly how we wanted. Carlos explained the design intent clearly, and most importantly for me, answered all my questions at our original meeting and by follow-up emails. His father, Juan, managed the work, which included multiple reviews of the progress daily to make sure we were on the same page, as he told me. I am a perfectionist, and the work exceeded my expectations. The details such as the recommended UniLock block type, having the wall run into the driveway at the same height and stepping the blocks down at front and back are perfect. These are the factors that make Montano's a great value. The team that worked at our house was professional, respectful and finished the landscaping perfectly with a clean yard. We highly recommend Montano's Landscaping. We did a complete backyard redo incorporating both hardscape and landscape updates. Carlos and his team were amazing from the start. Their pricing was reasonable. They were very collaborative during the design process. They started on time, worked incredibly hard, finished on time and on budget. They even completely mulched our front yard which was not part of the scope. The end result, their craftsmanship, is the real reason for this review. Our backyard has been completely redesigned and their work is top notch.

After seeing Montano’s ad on Facebook and seeing them highly recommended on the Nextdoor online community, we met with Carlos to get proposals to update our patio. The existing patio was nice but didn’t meet our needs. During our initial meeting Carlos listened to what we were looking for and returned soon with an outstanding design proposal which included an outdoor kitchen, living area with a fire pit as well as a pergola to provide shade from the sun. He worked with us closely through the entire design build process including updating the landscaping with mature trees and shrubs. We are so happy with the outcome and highly recommend Carlos and the Montano’s team for any landscaping or outdoor living project you may be considering.

The level of service and quality of work was excellent. Carlos was very communicative throughout the entire process. From coming up with the design to guiding me in selecting the materials, he was top notch. There was one concern due to an issue the city inspector had, but Carlos had his crew out literally the next day to resolve it. I have to say the way they responded to that was above and beyond and that is the mark of a good company. Overall, the quantity of work was exceptional . You won’t be disappointed if you hire Montanos.
