Platinum Decking did two projects for me this year. Our new main deck and matching pool deck look amazing and both crews were top notch. Ignacio and his crew took care of all my special requests. Matt, Colby, Jack, and Austin went above and beyond when installing our pool deck and showed great care and follow through. I couldn’t be happier with the results from both projects. Jeff, Rob and the whole team were a pleasure to work with and we’ve been enjoying our new decks a lot on the warmer days and they both look great!

Platinum Decking were an amazing company to work with. From Adam in sales to Danny and crew doing the work. They were always on time, worked through good and not so good weather. Worked as a well oiled machine. The crew of 4-5 guys knew just what each person's job was and worked hard and long hours. The deck turned out beautiful, sturdy, and the lights are a touch of class. We are thrilled with the fence that Platinum Decking installed in our backyard earlier this month! You would never guess that this is the company's FIRST fence installation (the quality is top-notch!). We went with a white composite fence, with sections of six-foot privacy and a shorter picket and it looks beautiful. My mother and father-in-law live in Schaumburg and were interested in replacing their deck on the back of the house. They spend a ton of time on their deck, which my father-in-law maintained over the years by himself. However, it was at the point where it needed major renovation work. Plus there were a number of places where the deck needed to be redesigned to make it safer for the two of them (They are both in their late 80's).

I told them to work with Platinum Decking, who a friend of mine worked with to replace their deck (and was very happy). The Platinum Deck team quoted a great price and worked very closely with my father-in-law (an engineer himself) on the design and installation work.

The deck was finished late last fall on time and on budget. And now that the weather has turned warm this spring, my in-laws are out on their deck almost every day. I can see happiness in their faces when they are out on that deck!

A big thanks to Platinum Decking. Every person associated with the Platinum Decking company that my in-laws came into contact with during the whole project was great. From the proposal discussions, to the final design work, to the guys that did the buildout... such a fantastic team.

I own a log home with a cantilever front porch/deck which needed replacing after 25 years and decided to work with Platinum Decking due to its unique requirements, and their confidence in design and in tackling any unknowns which could and did show up.

The final solution using TimberTech decking and Trex Signature railings was even better than we hoped for. The structure is solid, the product is fantastic and the workmanship is excellent. We expect this new porch/deck to look and perform like new for a very long time, with minimal maintenance.

I need to mention working with Rob Baumgartner throughout the project from planning through completion has been superb and appreciate his professionalism.

And we were very impressed with the 2 man crew who spent 1.5 weeks with us doing the teardown and rebuild.

Home Depot has a very nice nursery. Beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees.

Twice I've been in self check out and an employee comes and scans all my things. There is a reason its called SELF check out.

I went to Home Depot in Naperville. I needed a couple of things. The employees in their nursery didn't know where items were, nor were they willing to help me find the items I needed. I asked where regular dirt was, no one knew, one of the 3 employees said aisle 53, no one knew where that was so I was off on my own trying to find aisle 53. Then I asked if they sold leader hoses because I couldn't find them, two of the 3 employees told me they didn't know and the other said no we don't sell them. I then asked for them to get a manager because I wasn't getting the customer service that I needed to find my items or my questions answered. I looked on my phone and Home Depot does sell leader hoses. The manager helped me find it. All of the Home Depot employees have a phone that is provided to them to help them find items to help customers. I had to ask them to use it because they didn't think to utilize this resource to help me. What I thought was going to be a 10 minute errand turned out to be almost an hour. If no employee that works there can't help people what's the point in shopping there. I will be ordering my items online going forward and doing curbside pickup.

Great firewood every year

Kurt Metallo was very diligent in performed the work of grinding my tree trunk and many roots that extended from it where I am planning to construct a concrete pad for a garden shed. He understood exactly what needed to be done in the stump grinding effort to support my shed project. The end result of his work exceeded my expectations and I would strongly recommend his services.

Had a great experience with Metallo Stump Removal. We had some old decaying stumps and a tricky access situation. Kurt was great at explaining our options and working with us. We had great communication and the job itself was done as described and no mess left behind. I’d recommend him for anyone stump grinding or removal services.
