They installed a whole-house generator for us, the kind that kicks on automatically when power drops. The unit sits on a concrete pad next to the AC condenser and honestly it's pretty quiet when it runs, like maybe a little louder than a dishwasher. The transfer switch they wired in is what really matters though because it handles the switchover in seconds, we tested it by killing the main breaker and the lights flickered once and came right back. I used jerry electrician for a few things around the house over the past year. started with replacing a broken outdoor floodlight and then had them come back to add a couple outlets in the basement where we set up a home office. the basement job was the bigger one obviously but they quoted it pretty quick and the price didnt change after. i keep a list of stuff on my phone to batch together for the next visit, think we need a ceiling fan put in the bedroom eventually. solid work both times
