Just finished our project with Mike. This is our 3rd house Mike & crew have done for us and this was the best job yet. They did a ton of work; built in grill, widened drive with pavers, landscaping all around. Added built in lighting for the finishing touch. We are thrilled. Looks great, within our budget and done on time. He provided a lot of advice and ideas that we wanted to hear. We highly recommend Mike & Jim Phelps Landscape.

My husband and I would definitely recommend Jim Phelps Landscape! Our patio looks amazing. We had initially chosen our pavers but once they started laying them, we realized we didn't like the color against our house. We called Mike and it was an easy switch! We decided on a different color and the crew was able to get the new pavers same day- we didn't lose much time at all. They were very easy to work with and do great work. Very impressed!

Jim Phelps was one of the most professional and genuine human beings to work with. We called to get an estimate on a new paver patio and he came within a few hours and had a new patio in a few weeks. He went above and beyond to make sure our concerns were addressed and went out of his way to make sure we had our patio done in time for a party. I am so happy we found him and will never work with any other company!

Drainage Flood Project

This company provided outstanding service start to finish.
We recently moved into a home with a large yard prone to heavy flooding. Last season, standing water caused an oak tree to fall on our home.
This company installed multiple drains and properly pitched the earth away from our home to protect it for years to come.
They went above and beyond the work originally quoted and created beautiful usable spaces on our property that were useless before because of water damage.
This company had every tool needed and completed a major project in less than 3 days.
Knowing our home is safe from water is such a huge burden that has been lifted.
We cannot wait to use Phelps Landscape on future projects.

They designed and installed both our backyard patio and our front porch. They were so incredibly easy to work with, from the selection of materials (a very no-nonsense approach when determining value vs appearance), to the overall design. They were sure to review every last detail and were very responsive when we had special requests or questions, and we had several questions about what trees/shrubs we should select.

Their knowledge of what works and how and when things bloom is really remarkable. He even warned us about what plants not to select because they don't hold up to heavy winds well, which we definitely have.

Not only do they do impeccable work (they have done my mother-in-laws patio, as well as my brother-in-law's porch and patio), but they stand by their product. We have had a stone come loose after a few years of erosion. They were out THE NEXT DAY after I told them about it to fix it. I will go to bat for this company and their work.

The entire crew of Jim Phelps Landscape was such a pleasure to work with! They turned our ordinary backyard into a 26x22 Unilock patio area with a beautiful fire feature. There was a lot of pre-work that needed to be done with grading to make it just right. They know their stuff! We love working with local businesses, and this group is the BEST! We are already dreaming of what we can have them do next.

Our builder recommended Mike Phelps and his crew for our new home in Joliet and we could not have been happier with the experience and the final product. Mike and staff designed and installed our entire landscape, which included a massive undertaking to accommodate stone retention walls, numerous paver patios, an irrigation system and a very large paver front porch. As you can see in the photos, Unilock pavers, with Color Guard, have proven to be hard-wearing and do not need sealing. His plant specimens are all of the highest quality and he stands by his products. We continue to call Mike for seasonal landscaping and advice....we highly recommend him and his crew. Thanks, Mike!

Phelps Landscaping has helped us with various smaller landscaping projects throughout the years; however, this past year they put in a beautiful white aluminum attached pergola that was custom cut to our exact measurements we wanted and included custom cut shades/screens for added cooling and protection from the sun. Mike Phelps worked with the company to get everything he needed and we wanted for this project. He and his crew also added a brick ribbon around the perimeter of our patio to extend its size and laid down sod around the perimeter of our patio and recently done sidewalk too. It all turned out great and we truly enjoy our outdoor patio space much more frequently now.

The wife and I are very happy with the work that was done. I called Jim with the hope he would be able to bury our downspouts. Within a couple days of my initial phone call, Jim was at our house providing an estimate. A week later, his crew came out and completed the job.

Jim is very personable and takes the time to understand your goals as a homeowner. Out of the 5 estimates we received, Jim provided one right in the middle. He made me feel confident that his company used good materials, and that the workmanship would be top notch. It was.

It rained most of the day yesterday and the buried downspouts appear to be working as intended. There is no water by our foundation and the buried downspouts now appear dry.

Mike and his team did a great job on our new garden walls. He worked with us on our design and made it look beautiful. His team that did all the work were very professional and kept the work area very clean when they left for the day. I would highly recommend Mike and his team.

Mike and his crew did such an amazing job. We had them remove old bushes and an old raised garden and install a new retaining wall, paver walkway and small patio as well as many new plants. What a difference it made to the house. Their landscape architect designed great features. His team did amazing work installing everything. They worked with us every step of the way. Will be using them again next year for another walkway and more plants.

These guys make BEAUTIFUL spaces! They are very detail oriented, polite and personable, and have great suggestions when you just can't decide on materials. They have created an entire addition to our house on our lower level putting in a kitchen, bathroom, floors, ceilings, and got creative when i asked them to modify antique furniture into the project. They did such a nice job on that project that we asked them back to re-do our front porch. They also do odd projects like fixing doors and windows, drawers, and hanging paintings. Great guys. Their experience and quality is beyond their years.

Professional and efficient staff delivered on time at a great price, but it was their staffs level of customer service that earned them 5 stars. Each person, from quotes, scheduling to the installation went way above and beyond which is rare these days. I highly recommend Hudson Insulation Solutions!
