I’ve used their service twice now for various electric needs around my house. They did a great job both times. They also suggested helpful alternatives to some of the things I wanted done. They are very responsive to requests for an appointment and give updates as to their ETA. Very fairly priced. They are neat and tidy too. I will definitely use their services in the future.

I highly recommend Custom Power Electric. Rich did an excellent job with the electric for my pool install. He wired my pump, heater and saltwater generator as well as grounded and bonded my pool. He took extra time to review the Circupool controller manual to make sure we maximized the potential. In every metric you can measure a contractor from work, to install, to the price, to taking the time to explain the equipment, to clean up - 5 stars across the board. We got an estimate for connecting our hot tub. The estimate was simple, over the phone. In the basement they ran wires and we were impressed on how little they tore up the drywall. They kept to their schedule, the service and price was great. It’s a family business, I definitely recommend. Just be aware that they only accept cash or check.

Working with Rich was the worst experience I have had with a contractor. I contacted three different electricians to work with. Rich was the most expensive. After learning this, he said that he’d beat his competitors' prices. Based on that, I went with him. I thought everything was going well until another electrician noticed problems with Rich’s work. When I brought the issues to Rich, he told me that I should not expect much given the price that I paid–that I’m getting what I paid for (over 7K). This was frustrating because he had agreed to beat a different price.
A major issue was that he cut the holes for the recessed lights too big. So when he installed the recessed lights, there was a lot of space between the ceiling and the light, and it was evident! He installed different size recessed lights, which looked terrible. Some were bigger while others were smaller. I have a host of pictures from certified electricians who have condemned Rich’s work.
My recommendation is this: if you go with Rich and his company, accept whatever quote he gives you. If someone is cheaper, then go with that electrician. Do not allow Rich to tell you that he will match their price, because if he does, he will provide subpar work. I am currently talking with my lawyer about his subpar work and sharing text messages and pictures from his work to hopefully resolve this issue.
Currently, I need feedback on items to check warranties and other things, and I am unable to get in contact with him. Terrible service and very unprofessional!

Rich and his son did an excellent job at our home! They installed five outlets in our basement ceiling for lights, added a motion sensor, wired a ceiling fan, hooked up our garbage disposal, and installed a bathroom vent fan/light. Their pricing was fair, their work was professional, and their knowledge was impressive. We highly recommend giving them a call for any electrical work — you won’t be disappointed!

We have used Rich and his son for multiple electrical jobs in our home: switching out old outdoor lights, installing ceiling fan as well as new kitchen light fixture. Rich got back to me quickly and scheduling was easy. Good communication regarding arrival time. He and his son were pleasant, prompt, efficient, respectful of our home, cleaned up and did great work. Prices were reasonable and transparent without any hidden/last minute additional costs. He also assisted us in getting the correct parts to adapt our older ceiling fan to a sloped ceiling.
