Reviews of local pros in Wheeling, Illinois

We needed to trim a very large Honey Locust tree in our yard. We were extremely happy with the service and etiquette of Robert and his team. They did an excellent job with the pruning and left the yard spotless once complete. Highly recommend if you are looking for professionals that will get the job done right.

We always have a good experience when we work with Scott & his team. They are professional and really care about trees. Scott provides his expertise to recommend what should be done to the trees on our property.

RW Hendricksen has been very responsive to all our needs and they saved my beloved magnolia tree. They also have provided me tree removal service at a competitive price. I really appreciated how well they cleaned up when done and they even protected a flower bed that was in the way. I highly recommend them!

Tree service can be quite expensive; however, working with Hendricksen has taught me there's different ways to get the job done. They take the extra effort to evaluate the trees, your property, and the surrounding environment. Their decades of family experience allows them a wealth of knowledge, so you can take the best approach possible and stay within budget. I wholeheartedly recommend this family business.

This company is so awesome! The owner came out the day of the tree trimming with his crew to go over everything we spoke about. His crew was very professional, and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend them for their services. The price was very competitive as well.

The arborist, Scott, was wonderful to work with. He was professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that would be done. The crew was great and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived.
I will definitely use their services in the future.

Hendricksen came out in the fall to trim 4 large trees in our yard. They did an excellent job. They cleaned everything up and took care to make sure there was no damage to the lawn while accessing all of our trees. Great price and great people!

This is truly a professional business. As a fellow tree care company owner I have not personally used Hendricksen Tree Care to remove trees from my property. However, I can tell you how devoted the owner Robert is to providing top-notch professional services to his clients. We are part of multiple peer groups together where we meet at least two times for months to discuss things like safety training and business best practices. Not only are Robert and his sons always looking for ways to level up their business standards and staff capabilities, they regularly contributes to our groups and help hold the industry accountable to higher standards for all. If I was, in the market for tree care company, I would not hesitate to use Robert and his team, as there is no doubt in my mind that they would go above and beyond to satisfy my needs.

Scott Sutherland is the most professional and caring tree specialist I met ever! He gave me great advice on my sick spruce trees, and followed with Niles village service to serve the one owned by the village (this ownership was quite a surprise for me; saving money:).
I have Hendricksen Tree care as the experts on my trees issues for the last 5 years - and never was disappointed! Highly recommend!

Great service. Very helpful and took time to explain what the problem with my tree was. Definitely will use again!

Cullen and Brian were amazing. Hard working arborists who know what they are doing and go above and beyond. I was highly impressed and will always recommend Hendricksen Tree Service. They will be my go to tree care company from now on.

Wonderful experience all around. I have a huge linden in my backyard as well as beautiful arborvitae bushes lining my fence which faces a park. I called another tree service for an estimate, however, they never came out to do the work. I then was referred to Hendricksen by a friend, so I made the call…. and Tim came out to give me an estimate within a week, we scheduled an appointment the following week. The trimmers were very kind, and did an awesome job, my back yard has never looked better. They did exactly what we asked them, and cleaned up everything. Would highly recommend Hendricksen Tree Company.

A sincere thank you to Bob Hendricksen of RW Hendricksen Tree Care for providing mulch to Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Arl. Hts. It is an excellent quality and has improved the look of our pollinator garden and other beds throughout the grounds.

We were very satisfied with the service from Hendrickson, including the arborist's evaluation of our redbud tree and the courteous and professional work by the tree trimmers. The only shortcoming was the lack of communication regarding when the work would be performed. Once the tree was evaluated and a contract was signed for the trimming services, there was no communication until the crew showed up at our door. Fortunately we were home and able to have them do the job.

We hired Hendricksen to remove a diseased apple tree and prune 2 other trees. Scott gave a us a prompt quote for the work. The crew did a great job removing the tree without damaging our lawn or the neighbors garden plot. They also did a great job pruning the other two trees and cleaning up afterwards. I would say they exceeded my expectations for this work. I have used them several times in the past and will definitely contact them for any future work.

We highly recommend their services. Words cannot express our appreciation for Robert & his crews work removing a very large, old Willow Tree - both fallen limbs which came down during a storm and what was left standing. They are true professionals from the estimate to the actual removal. Quality equipment and professional employees gave us a sense of comfort that we chose the right company for this very large job.

The Hendricksen team did a great job for us! Took care of exactly what we needed. Very efficient, professional and super friendly. Highly recommend.

Scott took time to look at our yard and make recommendations for tree care, pest control and pruning. So far, the service is reliable after the first treatment.

Scott was very friendly and professional, I received my quote very quickly and they did the trimming after a couple days, the price was completely fair for the work done, thanks guys !!!

Awesome service. Really cleaned up my river birch and took out a red maple (sad but necessary). Well done. Will use again and recommend.

We have been working with Scott at Hendrickson Tree Care for years! It was wonderful to meet with an arborist who really knew his trees! He provided so much advice and information. We had some beautiful old trees and two (somewhere) struggling new ones. Now, all of our trees are thriving. From fertilizing specific to the tree, pest mitigation where needed and trimming for health and beauty, they do it all. We are in good hands!
