We have had the American Mold Experts Warranty program for several years. The house crawlspace was treated for mold a few years ago and is inspected again each year. We receive a thorough report with photos. The inspector calls before the visit to let us know his time of arrival. He has the previous years report for reference. The inspector is professional, thorough and very personable, answering any questions. An excellent service

We purchased a home that was badly contaminated with mold. It has been a real horror story. My wife and 3 children have had several health issues because of it. American Mold Experts came in and identified the water intrusion and helped guide me in making the right repairs. Once the water problem was fixed, the cleaned the entire house from basement to attic to remove any mold and toxins. Everything was great until 8 months later when my wife's hair began to fall out again. I called AME again and they came to investigate. After further investigation we discovered that the siding around my entire house was installed incorrectly, causing a secondary leak that was concealed inside of the walls. MY HOUSE WAS FULL OF MOLD ONCE AGAIN. I was told that some people were coming down to speak with me. I figured that I was about to hear some sales pitch, or I was going to be told that it was somehow my own fault that the mold came back. Either way, I was expecting worst. However, the owner of the company showed up to assess the situation. Without hesitation he said "This house is compromised. We are doing the job again." And they did. I had several months of repairs to make and they stayed in touch the entire time until I was ready. Then they came and cleaned the entire house, basement to attic, again. American Mold Experts stand behind their work. So greatful to Bill, Kevan, Craig, Terry, Karen, and the other 2 Lady's who helped clean. Thanks!

I recently hired American Mold Experts to do some mold testing in my new home (have been sick for months now). I was suitably impressed by the outstanding job that they did from start to finish. They did two mold tests, and one mycotoxin test using state of the art equipment, and using two independent labs. They spent the better part of the afternoon inspecting every inch of my house, both inside and outside (including two separate attic spaces). They took pictures and prepared a full report, and kept me apprised at every step during the inspection, and showed me areas of possible concern. I also received full lab reports after the test results were returned. I was impressed at every stage from Karen who scheduled the appointment, to Charles and Brooks who did the inspection and testing, and Brian who followed up with me. Every individual involved in the process was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. It is so refreshing to find a company who takes honest business practices as their mantra! I highly recommend this company without reservation!

Thanks to ABC Roofing Company for pointing out that my roof leak could have caused mold damage in my attic. They recommended AME, American Mold Experts. The evaluation was done promptly and the work of remediation scheduled in coordination with completed roof and chimney work. Crew was timely and did not leave any messes. Results were positive.

We suspected that our daughter's dorm room had mold so we set up an appointment with American Mold Experts to take Air Quality and swab tests in her room. Charles, from AME arrived on time and was very nice to my daughter and her roommate. Not being in Indiana and my college aged daughter having to take care of this was somewhat stressful as a mom. I was very happy to hear AME was extremely professional and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone!

Scott and Bill did a thorough job and although expensive, we were very happy with the results. We are ultra sensitive to mold and thought we might need to sell our beach home but we have been here two weeks and it feels good so far.

We utilized AME (American Mold Experts) to complete testing for mold in a bathroom and our crawlspace. The results provided by a third party lab, showed we had mold in our crawlspace. Our AME contact, Jacob called to go over the results. Jacob was very knowledgeable and took time to explain in detail the different kinds of molds, most likely source of the mold (plumbing leak and inadequate ventilation) and options they could provide to remediate. We decided to have them complete the work, which included the remediation and replacement of the vapor barrier. We were 100% satisfied with the work and the 2 employees sent out to do the work. They were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable of the work they were doing and the product they were using.
We have had our post testing completed and plan to sign up for the yearly testing / inspection program. We have been especially impressed with Jacob, he is very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Would recommend AME.

We chose American Mold Experts after getting some concerning results with a mold test kit. We loved that this company advertised that they use natural products for mold removal because we didn't want to add more toxins to our home. We couldn't be more happy that we hired them! Jacob and Jordan worked around my busy family's schedule. Communication was great! We got all of our questions answered even outside of business hours. They gave us a lot of recommendations and education on how to prevent problems in the future. Our mold problem was on the joists in the basement. They look brand new and our post remediation mold results are well below allowable limits! Very pleased!

We really appreciate so many things about this company! One- they’re customer service. It’s a family business so you get to know the employees. Scott in particular is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and has talked to my husband and myself through many situations. Two- it is a “clean” product. We do not want our home treated with harsh chemicals our kids will be breathing in. This is a natural enzyme. Third- the warranty. This means so much as we feel secure knowing our home is safe! We’ve used them several times as homeowners and trust them more than anyone else.

American Mold Experts used to be a good company. I used them to inspect a home in ~2018 and they did an incredibly thorough analysis. But they no longer are reliable. Because I couldn’t even get them to return my phone call after several attempts to hire them in November 2024.

We experienced water damage in our house and i am sensitive to mold and have chemical sensitivity as well. I have a young child and pet and wanted someone who would remove mold and do proper testing and clean with something nontoxic so that i would not react to mold or cleaners. I was so happy to find a company not far from me that not only did this but also did whole house and hvac cleaning as well and was so thorough. Even tho dealing with this has been upsetting, every person in this company has went above and beyond to help ease our fears, answer questions and update us step by step. I would highly recommend this company esp to anyone sensitive to chemicals and or mold or who wants the job done right (should be everyone!)

We worked with American Mold Experts when we found out that the house we had purchased had mold as a result of a plumbing leak. Jacob is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. They worked with us as we were on a timetable so that the remediation could be done before our move. The team was very thorough. They identified the problem with testing through a third party and then used great non-toxic solutions to remediate the mold. This was extremely important as I have some chemical sensitivities. Results were verified with re-testing. Scott identified several things to address in the home to keep the air quality in the healthy range. We also needed to address the humidity in our home and Jacob was very helpful and directed us to some companies who were able to help us. They have a great warranty program and their service is phenomenal! There was another gentleman who came out twice who was very professional and went above and beyond. Everyone we worked with was great! Highly recommend.

For the last three years we have had a good working relationship with AME. However, for the last two months we have called weekly to do a follow up for our attic space which was under warranty with no response. It was complicated by delayed work that needed to be completed before AME could do the follow up. I contacted them several times to keep them updated. Leigh Ann has been kind in her responses but the employee responsible for scheduling and sales will not return our text or phone calls. Last week we were told that he would call as well as stop by to assess work needing to be done. No one called and no one showed up. We are needing to address the issue but no one will schedule, return calls or show up to our home. It’s been very frustrating as we have not been informed as to why they are not returning our calls.

The team did a good job and worked hard to complete the evaluation and remediation within my narrow timeframe. They actually worked the evening shift over two nights - including a Saturday - so that we could close on the house on time.

The local tech, Ryan, was courteous and seemed to do a thorough job.

The reason I did not give a “5” rating was because of their billing approach. They expected full payment upfront or on day 1 before work was actually completed. This was stressful simply because I never pay in full upfront. I actually thought they would take my money and run, but thankfully, that was not the case.

Communication was decent and was a little loose and less formal (texting quite a bit) than I’d like, but that’s just me.

We sold the house two days after the work was completed, so I can’t guarantee what they fixed the mold problem, but I have no evidence that they did not. Their explanation about their remediation process was thorough, and everyone involved seemed quite knowledgeable.

Would I recommend them? Yes. I’d actually rate them 4.5 if there would’ve been that option.

Was their price fair? I don’t know because I didn’t have time to chase multiple estimates due to my time constraints. I selected them because they had decent ratings on Angi. But they don’t appear to be part of the BBB which, in hindsight, added to my unnecessary worries.

They were very thorough, and were able to restore my home to a safe condition. My family is safe and healthy, and I would definitely recommend AME to anyone with a mold problem.
