I bought a tree here 30April22 and 6 others at Niemeyer. Had tree from here not come back after winter. Went to report the loss on 4May23, told it was past the 1year buy date and could only help with original receipt and within the year. Niemeyer’s same dates. I walked in there with a picture of one of the shrubs I lost and “THEY” pulled my purchase history up on their system and gave me the option of getting exact same plant or a gift receipt. I know now the only Nursery I will ever go to now.

A friend was verbally assaulted by an employee of this company because the employee saw a "love is love" sticker on my friends car. I connected the company asking if they condone hate speech. The fact that this person felt emboldened to do this while serving as a representative of this company with absolutely no fear of consequences is quite telling.

In my opinion this is the best place in Northwest Indiana to buy all of your gardening needs. Not only do they have an amazing selection of perennials but they also carry a lot of annuals as well. And don't forget the trees! They have a huge selection, and they'll even plant them for you! I love Hubingers! Number one in NWI!!!

I have only used them for a phone-initiated delivery of garden mix topsoil so far, but I am very pleased! I get a little nervous before such things, bur my anxiety was quickly assuaged. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, if a bit brusque, and delivery was top notch. As far as I can tell, so is the product. Will be calling on Hubinger for my next garden project for sure!

I ordered stone from here over the phone. I had my dimensions and was ready to order. I spoke with Kelly in the garden center/ bulk materials and she advised me to order a little more according to the dimensions that I provided. It was the perfect amount, thanks to Kelly! They even delivered it that afternoon. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Made an order over the phone. It was little difficult because there was customers waiting in line while they took my order. We had to call each other back and forth to finish the order but that was my only complaint. The Aqua Blue Rock 4.3 tons that I ordered came in the next day and my customer was happy the result. The driver was very nice and had great communication. I will order from them again.

We hired Hubinger to do a paved walkway and WE LOVE IT SO MUCH

Love this place. The plants I got were very healthy and you can tell they took care of them. I am getting all my plants from there from now on. You guys do an awesome job. Thank you

Update: Lorraine called me right after this episode to discuss the roses and how she could help. I was able to take them over today. Lorraine and Debbie repotted and pruned them. These roses are very special to me. I’m so thankful they were able to save them.

I bought two lovely rose bushes from a lovely lady two months ago. They were doing great until about 10 days ago. I went over to the nursery today with photos just to ask for advice on what to do to fix the problem. Unfortunately, there was only a bearded man in that little check out window. He was not interested in helping me. He was talking down to me. I don’t need attitude or eyes rolling! I needed help. I asked for the owner or anyone else that was in charge but no one. I could’ve went to Walmart and got better service. And I would’ve spent a lot less money.

Our favorite Nursery in NWI! We have bought several items and all have been terrific. This last time we bought a tree and had them deliver and plant it! The guys did a great job and even mulched around it! After clean up-couldn’t even tell they were there. Definitely recommend this nursery!

Ordered 4 yards of garden mix for delivery on Saturday 4/13/24. When delivered only 3 yards came out of the truck. I completely understood the situation and the driver informed me he would talk to his boss and get the yard delivered on Monday when things dried up. I contacted the office to get the yard delivered Monday and asked if I could add 2 more yards on top of that. They ran my card for the 2 extra yards when I got the bill I noticed I was charged the delivery fee so I called in to ask why and was told because I ordered the 2 extra yards. I then asked if had just gotten the 1 yard I was owed I wouldn’t be charged the delivery fee but since I added 2 yards that I was willing to pay for I’m now getting charged the delivery fee and was told that’s correct. I then canceled the order and told them just bring me my 1 yard I’m owed and give me my money back. I still haven’t gotten my money back and the original purchase made Friday and the purchase that should have been refunded from Monday have cleared my bank account… I will be going to Reeds from now on

What a great nursery! I wanted a plant delivered to da dear friend who had lost a pet the day before. Kelly was wonderful! She delivered the plant the same day and it was very inexpensive but she acted like it was a huge sale! What a great business! I will remember and shop there in the future, Thank you Kelly and Hubinger!

We did the Gnome class today, and it was fantastic. Very easy to follow instructions and friendly instructors.

Hubinger has a great selection of plants, is nicely laid out and easy to shop. But the best thing about this place is the staff! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they just love to listen and try to help. I'm so happy they are so close, they are my favorite!

Although the people I’ve encountered at Hubingers are nice, I would strongly suggest getting the longest warranty possible on any of the trees that are purchased. Of the 5 trees we bought, only 2 are still hanging on at year three. According to an arborist, the bald cypress had a trunk injury and should not have been sold. I was devastated to lose it. They were planted by hubingers as well. It’s an expensive loss. I’d buy my plants, from hubingers, but I would look elsewhere for trees.

Great plants that last years to come only place me and my family go.

1st time there and it is a wonderful business. They have soooo much to chose from and the ladies are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly!

We went to a class and had a wonderful time! Everyone was so friendly and helpful I cant wait til next year to go again.
