I had a terrible experience with this company. When I called them to check my boiler, the repairman showed up without warning me that he would be charging an additional fee for his services. He claimed it was a standard service charge, but when I asked how much it would cost, he hesitated and said it depended on where he came from - implying that if he were from New York, it would be more.
The repairman himself was unhelpful and seemed dismissive of my concerns. When I told him I had googled the flashing light on my boiler to understand what it meant, he asked if I had a book on the furnace, which made me feel like he didn't believe me. He spent most of his time checking the voltage to the fan motor before telling me that the problem was with the motor itself.
I received a bill for almost $200 later, which included the service charge. When I questioned it, I was told to pay immediately or risk being sent to collections. This company's billing practices are aggressive and unfair. In contrast, another company I called, Loving's Heating and Cooling, charges just $90 for similar services, and Air Temp agreed not to budge on this price.
