We will use Jefferson Electric again if needed. The team sent to our house, Randy and Bruce, were an asset to the company and to us. They were professional and honest in the work they provided.

When I first called Jefferson for help with our dishwasher (which had no power going to it), I was greeted by Doug. He was incredibly helpful on the phone and realized that we were in a bit of a hurry to get it fixed. He immediately started calling around, seeing if he could get anyone out to help us on the same day I called. This is unheard of - this effort meant the world to us.

Then on our scheduled day, the guy who actually came to help us out (I'm embarrassed to say that I forgot his name) was the nicest dude ever. He tried like ten different solutions to get this stupid dishwasher working (and he finally did!). I was floored to see how determined he was to fix the problem! We had two different companies come out before we called Jefferson and they both looked at it for five minutes, said they couldn't fix it, and left. We were getting pretty frustrated.

It was refreshing to work with a company who really cares about us. We will definitely be calling them FIRST the next time we need an electrician. Thank you for standing out from the crowd and keep up the great work!

Our experience may be an anomaly, but thought I’d at least provide it. We paid JE a premium price for a full house rewire (based on reputation) and received absolutely terrible project management and communication. The project manager would go to great lengths to avoid communicating and to blame others for project delays. Our house was not taken care of during the work (hardwood floors with plaster ground into the grains and cracks) and the scope of work was not completed to our expectations (based on their quote and justification for price). To their credit, the ownership did listen to our concerns after the project and made some efforts to address them. But still left feeling very disappointed and we are working with other companies to fix some of the deficiencies from the JE work.

All aspects of obtaining permits, scheduling, and installing my solar panels, surge protector, Gateway inverter, Tesla Powerwalls, and EV charger went seamlessly and with minimal obligations (other than paying) on my part. Additionally a few issues with my existing electric service were corrected by Jefferson electricians. Upon completion the inspections by both the county and service provider (utility; in my case REMC) went flawlessly and passed with flying colors.

We've been delighted both with our panels and with Jefferson Electric. The installation (27 panels) took only one day! Although our Apple router was unfamiliar to them, they made sure to get the connection resolved so that we could monitor our electrical production. Everything has worked perfectly.

I would have given zero reviews to Jefferson Electric if that would be possible. That installed solar on our roof. I asked Rob to make sure to get approval from HOA as well. But they didn’t get approval from HOA and installed the solar panels with doing any due diligence. Now we are screwed because our HOA is asking to remove solar panels. We are in this mess from last 2 years because of Jefferson electric failing to do job correctly.

I’ve now had Drew out to my home on two jobs and he’s been courteous, professional, timely, and exceeded expectations both times. My latest job was rerouting a 220 feed to my AC unit. The HVAC company routed the cable through my wall, inside the garage, and then back into a hole under the breaker panel. It was the sloppiest work I’d ever seen. Drew took the time to carefully cut the drywall and route it safely within the wall. I was fully expecting to have a big drywall hole but Drew carefully placed and screwed the drywall back so it requires minimal patching. I can’t recommend these folks enough. I’m planning more work with them.

Jonas and Bruce did quick and fantastic work installing a level 2 EV charger for us! Would recommend and will happily use Jefferson Electric again in the future!

My first time using Jefferson Electric and they came highly rated and exceeded my expectations. Sean was able to fix a complicated electrical issue I was having for over two weeks in just one hour. Prices are terrific and I was pleased. Would definitely hire them again and Sean was knowledgeable and very professional!

On behalf of Wild Birds Unlimited I highly recommend Jefferson Electric! We hired them to replace all the emergency exit signs throughout our retail store. They showed up early, reviewed the details of the job, were thorough & efficient. Thank you for providing exceptional service!

I needed to have my solar system serviced because four of my panels were not producing any power. After speaking with my regular electrician, they suggested Jefferson Electric for the job. It took about 4 weeks to get a call back from Jefferson Electric to set up an appointment for them to come out and look at my system, but in late October I finally got one of their workmen, Matt, to come out and take a look at it. Matt was informed by my solar monitoring company that two of my micro inverters were defective and needed to be replaced. I asked how much this was going to cost right then and there and was told, IDK, but when I asked later, he said it was completely covered under warranty and would be free. Matt replaced the inverters 10 days later, and we parted ways without him informing me that I would be expecting any type of invoice, while still informing me that I was covered under warranty. However, three days after service, I received an invoice from Jefferson Electric for $768.00. Perplexed, I contacted them, and a one Philip Field informed me that I had been misled and that they were sorry for the misunderstanding and asked if I would be willing to pay half. I informed Mr. Field that I would not pay because I was under no contractual obligation to do so, and he said okay, I will cancel the invoice. I considered the matter closed until I received a call from the company's owner, Joel Walsman, who basically tried to tell me over the phone that Philip didn't have the authority to dissolve the invoice and that he wanted me to pay something, to which I replied that I might feel comfortable paying for the two service calls totaling $120. Nonetheless, Mr. Walsman seemed bothered by the amount and attempted to counter with $250, which I declined, and he threw a hissy fit on the phone, claiming that I didn't know the business and that he would refuse service to me in the future, at which point I told him the conversation was over. They do good work, but get a quote from them before doing business with them.

We had the best experience working with Jefferson Electric! They were patient with our questions, worked with us to find solutions for specific problems on our 100 yr old house, and clearly explained the game plan. They were clean, efficient, friendly, and flexible. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

Honestly, these folks are *the* nicest contractors that I have ever worked with. Every electrician from their company, that has come out to do work, is genuinely nice. We had a significant amount of work done at our house using Jefferson Electric, all of their work was done perfectly! They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves.

Jefferson Electric fitted our solar array recently. They are the nicest bunch of guys ever, they are clean, polite, efficient and extremely safety conscious. They are all over your house - attic, basement, garage etc sorting out the system and they are trustworthy and personable. Their prices are good and for the quality of the experience well worth it. If we could give 100 stars we would!

We had a whole house surge protector installed by Jefferson Electric. Adam came out and installed in about 35 minutes. They were very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone

The electricians they sent were professional and prompt. They were very knowledgeable about EV charging and got my garage equipped to charge my electric car at home. They did a great job.

An all around great experience. The technician (Jeremiah) was friendly, professional, and efficient. He came out for a relatively small job of replacing a shorted out 220 v receptacle, but went the extra mile by examining the breaker panel as well, to ensure there was no additional damage we could not see. Great service, reasonable pricing, excellent work. They won a life long customer today, and we will DEFINITELY be calling them out for our full wiring replacement on our older home in the future.

We hired Jefferson Electric to install solar panels on our detached garage. They navigated us through the regulatory approval process with ease. Once the approvals and permits were obtained, they installed the system quickly. So far, it's working well. Overall they were professional and knowledgeable. I'd choose them again.

For us, the Indianapolis crew definitely did not provide the “relationship, integrity, nor excellence” they proclaim on their website.

No one called me when the job was finally completed to follow up.

No one called to let me know when they would be arriving. Yes, I had an 8am appointment but a simple phone call or text would have made a big difference especially when you’re coming to my home. Later in the day 2 guys randomly showed back up again because they forgot to do something. Again, no phone call, they just showed up.

I was invoiced before the job was finished. (The project manager did tell me not to pay what was due until the job is complete but due dates remained the same)

My panel looks like it was labeled by a third grade student and if I had of known it was going to be completed in that manner I would’ve done it myself. Now I have to go back and fix it.

It was very kind of my project manager to include wiring up my dishwasher. However, the junction box was placed right next to my hot water line which could easily leak into the box. (Why not ask me where I want it? Do you also install lights and not ask where they’re going to go?) Granted, I am not an electrician by any means but to me with this junction box not being waterproof or placed away from my water source it’s an accident waiting to happen. Again, something I have to fix for the safety of my family. At least it’s to code per the owner.

There’s dust all over the outside of my house where the new meter was placed. Is it commonplace for the customer to have to clean up after a job when it’s in the contract stating they’ll take care of clean up?

A can of Great Stuff was left right outside my back door. Again, for me to clean up. Easy for me to do, but that’s not the point.

All these details make me question the quality and integrity of the rest of of the job.

For a $4600 job, standards of excellence should be higher.

They came out to my house twice. Once to do the job and a second time to tie some things up. The owner did offer to come out and personally address my concerns but it’s apparent, based on my experience, that attention to detail, communication, customer service and high quality work are not in their training and at this point I don’t want them back out to my house. They did send us 2, $50 gift cards as an apology for my disappointment.

I requested a partial refund of $500 so I could hire someone who was more attentive to detail and that request was denied.

In the end I’m going to agree to disagree with the owner. If you hire this company to do work I hope you receive a better experience than we did.

    Pictures included.

Seriously, what an AMAZING experience. I randomly got ahold of them by using a buy 1 hour get an hour free from Angi's list. They talked me through what I wanted and I ended up asking them to do more than I originally thought I'd want. They ended up installing 3 overhead lights and power for an attic fan. They did an AMAZING job. it looks great and works great.

Since I had a great experience with that I had them send me a quote for running the power for my new hot tub along with power for plug in things to the same area. Their bid was VERY reasonable compared to the other two I received. They did great work and came through with the timeline that I needed.

The add on bonus is that they pride themselves in being a partner in the project rather than just DOING the project and man did that shine through. They talked me through my project, gave me some ideas for what I could do differently or better, and it was more like having a friend help you than a business. I could recommend them more!!!!

I recently bought a house that needed an electrical panel replacement as well as some lights being replaced/installed. Once they began the work, they found a bigger issue with my electrical meter base that they were able to resolve that day. With that curve ball, other electricians had come over to help the one assigned to my house that day and displayed some great teamwork. This team was friendly (after she met other Jefferson employees for the onsite estimate, my realtor even was praising their friendly professionalism), easy to work/communicate with, went above any beyond with each task on the list and their finished work was beyond my expectations. They are DEFINITELY going to be the electrician company I will use for my upcoming additional projects at my new house.
