They came out and looked at our system. The outdoor condenser fan had quit running. He wanted us to purchase a new system and mentioned it numerous times. We told him that we simply couldn't afford it at the time and go ahead and replace the motor and capacitor that had failed. He did and informed us that it would go out again very soon. True to his word, it failed several months later, but had gotten us into the fall when we switched to heating. This spring we decided we would replace the fan ourselves and see how far we could put off a new system. That is when we discovered that the guy had installed an incorrectly sized run capacitor. It was a 5+30 capacitance and our system required a 5+50. This same capacitor runs the compressor. It had quit this time because one of the wires had literally burned off. When I pay to have something serviced. I expect parts equivalent to the manufacturers specifications. I suspect intentional sabotage to elicit the purchase of a new system.

Horrible. My mom's been using them for years! , She is ederly. Her furnish wasnt working. She called them it was a Sunday new years eve. But all that was wrong was her furnace wasnt turned on. Charged her. $150.!!! That is redicuous!!! $75 to $ 100 was plenty. Especially for someone who has been using you for years!
