I love this company! Everyone is polite and friendly. The work is getting done quickly and has passed inspection. The only issue we are having is that we have asked repeatedly for the quote, invoice (on the completed property) and receipt for the money given for payment. Other than that, we love McCormick!

I honestly never give reviews, but this may be the best experience I've ever had as a customer, even in a stressful time. Scheduling was so easy, they got me in quicker than anticipated. Jason and Aidan (i hope i spelled his name correctly) were extremely professional, helpful and QUICK! They explained everything thoroughly and answered my stupid questions. There's no one else I'll ever use, I'm a McCormick customer for life.

McCormick Electric quickly responded to my loss of AC and issue with the circuit breaker replaced needed parts and advised me about another issue. Took about an hour at the end of the day but stayed to complete the job! Nate and trainee Emma were friendly and straight forward about my electrical problems and provided much appreciated information. Great job!

TL/DR: I've used McCormick twice now, both times for arcing in the breaker panel. The first time resulted in a fix that lasted for nearly 2 years, extending the life of a 50+ year old panel. The second time resulted in a temporary fix that allowed me to keep power through the Thanksgiving weekend, with a follow-up visit the next week to replace the panel and main service line. The quality of work is top-notch, the pricing is fair, and their technicians are honest and respectful. I will use McCormick for any future electrical work and recommend them without reservations.

NEW REVIEW - 12/6/2024, 5 STARS:
I was replacing a GFCI outlet. When I turned the circuit back on, the breaker popped and sizzled, and continued doing so even after I killed the main. Called McCormick around 1pm on the day before Thanksgiving. They put me on the schedule for the following week, but I requested a phone call from a technician to see if I could safely turn power back on for the long holiday weekend. My tech, Jason/JC, didn't feel comfortable giving such advice over the phone, so he came out the same day. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Water was getting into the panel by way of a failed vinyl sheath on the main service line, which slowly caused pitting on the hot bus bar, leading to the arcing. I had managed to escape major electrical repairs for 4.5 years since moving into the house, but my luck ran out this time. Jason provided a temporary fix to get through the holiday, but advised that I needed a new panel as well as a new service line. These are not cheap procedures, but McCormick's pricing was fair at around $3600 for the panel and $4600 for the service line. Jason and his teammate, Vinny, spent nearly 9 hours at my house doing the work on a cold and snowy day. He walked me through everything they would be doing before and after, and was very patient and happy to answer my questions. The new service line required permitting and coordination with the power utility, which McCormick handled, and provided me with instructions on how to request an inspection with the city at my convenience. The quality of the installation was beautiful. I am so happy with the work! I've always had the impression the electrical system at my house was a bit screwy. Jason's final walk-through report included several interesting tidbits that validated my impression, and I feel great knowing that it has been properly fixed with a clean install at both of the critical points.

ORIGINAL REVIEW - 2/27/2023, 5 STARS:
I am thrilled with McCormick Electrical. I called at 10am and told the receptionist I had a breaker arcing in my panel. She put me on standby for the same day, and I had a certified electrician in the house 90 minutes later. Definitely did not expect that! I guess they take arcing pretty seriously.

Kaidyn and his apprentice Nate were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the problem and said they would write up multiple quotes for me to review. Kaidyn also offered a standard safety inspection of my electrical systems, which is included with the service call fee, which I accepted. Kaidyn gave me several quotes to choose from, ranging from the service call alone, fixing the problem breaker, fixing all problem breakers (non-UL approved / incompatible with my panel), or fixing everything the safety inspection suggested. He also encouraged me to ask questions as I reviewed the quotes. I decided to have all the bad breakers replaced. It wasn’t free, but it was reasonable. Professional work costs money. I was expecting to need a new panel, but got away with 5 breaker replacements. I also asked him to install a new outlet in a closet while he was there (wiring already exposed in the ceiling due to a plumbing project made it easier and cheaper). Total cost including the service call was about $1150. Received an itemized invoice to my email. Thank you, McCormick!
