Swimming Pool Contractor reviews in Ankeny, Iowa

Our pool turned out perfect the guys at juarez excavating and pools do great work.
I wish the communication with the guys in charge was better I would have gave them a 5 star. Over all our family is very happy with our pool.

Juarez Pools did a fabulous job creating our backyard oasis. They listened to what we wanted and designed it exactly the way we wanted. Would highly recommend all their services.

These guys did amazing and very professional!

Great experience with Juarez! We love our new pool!

These guys are really good at what they do. Very knowledgeable, very personable, have really enjoyed working with them

Sam, Mark and the entire crew at Juarez were amazing from start to finish. They helped us design the perfect back yard. Our teenage kids have already spent more time out there than they have in years. The Juarez team helped us pick all the perfect extras. They stand by their work and make sure everything is perfect. Go with Juarez and you know you will get the extra special touches. High quality product and even higher quality people doing the build.

Juarez did an excellent job on our pool and patio installation last fall. The service after installing has been great. Any questions or service needs have addressed very quickly.

I personally highly recommend Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools. From the very beginning they did what they said, said what they do. Their communication, execution, quality, and integrity is the bar of pool installation. We had them do everything (installation, landscaping, and electrical) with exception of line up our fence. We did a 35.5x15.5 Fiberglass Pool, with slide and power jets. Total insulation time from first dig to total installation including landscaping we had them add on was 1 month. Pool installation was less then 10 days swimming. Highly recommend and don't hesitate to call and or see their work, we will be swimming for you...

If you’ve been thinking about a pool for your family but have several questions or concerns, give Juarez Pools a call! Sam and Mark helped us plan and layout our backyard oasis and then made it a reality. The crew was hard working, polite, and fun to work with. The finished product is better than we imagined. These guys do it all…. dirt work, retaining wall, electrical, gas lines, finished concrete, landscaping, and pool/spas! 5 star people and 5 star service! Can’t wait to get the pool opened up this spring!

3 years later, still going strong. I decided to add another review. A lot of start up companies begin with excellent service only to become more corporate and unreachable when they get bigger. Not Juarez, they are still amazing. We had massive storms the week prior to me writing this and our pool turned milky white. I called Juarez and they showed up ON THE SAME DAY and addressed the issue. Phenomenal company, amazing quality work, and most of all, best and most responsive customer service ever. Thank you Mark, Samual and Steph. A true family business delivering nothing but the best

Sam, Mark and the crew with Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools just finished our fiberglass pool install. We couldn’t be happier!! After shopping around with other pool companies, we came across Juarez Pools, and knew then, they were the company we were going with. It just felt right. From the beginning, Sam was prompt with communication and answering my questions. I never had to wait long for a reply. Everything was straight forward and the job was completed exactly like agreed on. The installation crew went above and beyond installing the pool. They spent early mornings and late evenings working hard to get the pool installed. From dig day to completion day, our pool was finished in under 10 days!!. Everything was taken care of and we didn’t have to worry about lining up any work. They did it all. I highly recommend Juarez Excavating and Fiberglass Pools. I am confident that even though our pool is installed, Sam and his crew will continue to have prompt communication with answering our questions and supporting us as new pool owners. We are so happy we found them!

We were referred to Jaurez Excavating & Fiberglass Pools and the BEST decision. Mark and his crew were nothing but AMAZING! When trying to decide what color of pool we wanted, we were able to see pools that they had put in to make the final decision. Mark helped with the design of our retaining wall and because they posted other jobs, we also figured out the design we wanted for our concrete. We interviewed a lot of other places and we chose Juarez because of it being a family business and the experiences that we heard from others. Cannot wait for warmer weather so we can start using it!

Travis and Mark were very helpful with all of our questions from beginning to end of install. We appreciated their timely responses! Install was completed in 30 days - everyone worked very hard and did a great job. We're looking forward to our first opening of our pool next month and recommend Juarez for your pool!!!

If you're thinking about getting a pool, I can't recommend working with Juarez highly enough! Mark Juarez and his team were tremendous to work with. Excellent communication and customer service and quality workmanship. We also worked with their landscaper, Baudel, and he did amazing work as well. We had another company install our fence and Mark and Travis even helped with that when we ran into a couple hiccups which they did not have to do. They went above and beyond at every turn. Thanks for everything Juarez!

I first had what is installed the pool for me three years ago. I had initially left a negative review after installation, but then I retracted it thinking I can help them out and that they’ve gained knowledge and experience. Since then, I allowed them to do startups and closing on my pool, a couple of times, and that went horribly.

They struggled to figure out the pool chemistry. They didn’t start my in-ground hot tub properly and left lines full of antifreeze, which I had to flush out three times. They also tried caulking around my jets In an attempt to stop a leak that they created while replacing jets in my hot tub.

Perhaps the worst the wall is that they lack education around pools and they do not know their equipment. They installed oversized pump for my hot tub and undersized pump for my pool. After talking to Pentair, I also found out that they installed undersized filter for my pool.

Finally, I reached out several times trying to work with them to let them come back and figure out what’s going on with my hot tub and why it’s leaking profusely, but they refused and said that they do not service hot tubs that they install. I would not recommend using Juarez Pools because you will end up having to learn on your own how to handle your pool and pool equipment as well as you will not have a reliable service partner in Juarez.

From Travis (our sales guy), to the young guy at their shop, to the guys in the field doing the work, to the owner Mark... They've all been so professional and responsive. We've had a great experience. Clean jobsite. Addressed our concerns the same day. Seriously, highly recommend! And we love our pool! 🩵

Yet another 5 star review for Samuel and his crew! While not a perfect install due to some cover and gel coat issues, Jurarez’s customer service and responsiveness have been excellent. I highly recommend.

We love our new pool and spa! We love that we got a chiller for the pool! Even in Iowa we needed to use it during our hot weather! The spa heats up in 15 to 20 minutes!

Sam, Mark and their whole team did a superb job on a very complex project. They care about quality and attention to detail. Best communicating contractor we've ever used. If you're building a pool in Iowa, this is the team to do it!

These are guys you want putting in your pool.

I couldn't be happier with the process starts to finish, and the pool/concrete final product. I would use them again and very much recommend them.
We worked with Sam and Mark, they were always honest and easy going.

The entire team worked hard and fast, knowing what they were doing and we were swimming within a month of them starting despite a solid week of rain.

Pleasure to work with, they kept a clean site, great communication, they care about the end result and are there to help get the pool up and running even after the final sale.

Fiberglass is an amazing product for a pool. It lasts forever, is low maintenance, looks amazing, and is easy on your feet.

The slides are fast and fun.

Juárez installed our fiberglass, saltwater pool in the spring of 2023 and did an outstanding job! They employ a team of extremely hard workers and have been responsive to our every question and need since that time. They recently opened our pool for the 2024 season and went above and beyond to troubleshoot why our pool heater wasn’t working. A mouse had chewed through one of the wires and they took it upon themselves to fix it to ensure our heater was functional. We would recommend Juárez for all of your pool needs!
