They saved my roof!! Aaron and his crew came to take down a dead, 150/+ year old burr oak tree. It was feet from our house and had massive branches overhanging half our house. They had excellent communication, and they arrived quickly (and on time!!) to give a very reasonable estimate, and they removed it-- all in less than a week! They were respectful of the rest of the property and left the place spotless.

I can't say enough about Schmitreez! Aaron came out and provided a fair estimate and was great with communication through the entire process. When it came time to take down our tricky dead tree in a tight spot, he and his crew handled it with ease. They cleaned up after themselves and left our yard in excellent shape. Highly recommend!

Aaron and the guys did a great job removing two Linden pears. They performed the work efficiently and safely, and their cleanup was fantastic. I highly suggest using Aaron for his services. I plan to in the future.

Amazing company ! They completed all the tree work I requested in excellent time and went above and beyond with picking up stray branches on my deck and roof and throughout my yard! They cleaned up all branches that were cut and left no mess! I was blown away with their professionalism! Remarkable service. Done right and on time. Aaron and team started early in morning and when job completed in afternoon property looked great. The work does not involve using equipment other than what is needed to climb the tree. Amazing to watch. See video. He went above and beyond what was in estimate. Clean up was excellent. Definitely hope to work with him again. And I felt price was fair and bonus is a very ni e and engaging young man.

This company took down our dead ash tree. They stopped by on a Sunday to see if we were interested in having them take it down, gave us a quote for the job we wanted them to do, and took it down Tuesday. Not pushy at all! Quick turn around. Kept us updated about arrival time, with videos of the process, and let us know when they were done. Very, very reasonable price!! We are very pleased with the service and cost of the service this company provided. Don’t wait to call them to have them do your tree work!

I requested a quote from Schimitreez to remove a ~30' tall river birch tree. Aaron picked up the phone first call and came to look at the tree at 7pm the same day, he even sent the quote the same night! I always get quotes from multiple companies. Schmitreez quote was half that of another company. I decided to hire them based on the competitive pricing and the work quality described. They came out the next day and cut the tree down in less than an hour. They cleaned up after themselves. Thomas came out to grind the stump a few days later. He also did the job quickly and cleaned up after. Overall they did a excellent job and I was impressed with their entire service!

Our entire experience with Aaron and SchmiTreez was nothing short of fantastic. From our very first phone call, to the quote process, to how clean they left our property, the quality of service far exceeded our expectations.

We reached out late on a Friday afternoon, and within 30 minutes Aaron was already on-site evaluating the project and walking us through our options. Mark has done multiple jobs for me. The finished job is more than I expected. He will be at the top of my list for any projects!

We called woodchuck stumps to remove an old rock garden with small trees and shrubs from our backyard. There were several layers of landscape fabric and several stumps. The fabric was removed and fill dirt was brought in to smooth out the areas where excavation had to occur and to fill in where the stumps had been ground out. Everything was removed and they took care to clean up before leaving. They were very conscious of the irrigation system and careful not to damage it when pulling out bushes whose root systems were extensive. We're very happy we were able to find someone reliable who had the machinery to do the work and was able to get out to our home in Urbandale quickly. We would recommend Woodchuck Stumps to anyone looking for quality landscaping services!

We have used Mark’s services for the past 3 years. Mark has been out to our home multiple times doing a variety of work. Including: Tree Removal, Stump Grinding, Brush Hauling, and Drain Tiling. We purchased firewood and also hired them to fix a problem with the pavers on our back patio.
Their firewood is extremely high quality at a reasonable price, and they were willing to stack it for us for a fair fee.
Mark is an excellent communicator, very straightforward, and obviously cares about making the customer happy. He did a terrific job leveling out the pavers on our back patio, finishing the job ahead of schedule without sacrificing quality.
We will use him again and highly recommend.
