We have used Stumpff HomeWorks several times over a period of several years. Our first contact was for badly needed help. We had started a kitchen redo with another company and it was quickly becoming a disaster! We decided to call three other companies asking if they would be willing to finish our kitchen and their ideas for completing this project.
Stumpff Homeworks was the clear winner and we were absolutely thrilled with the results. I told Tom that they had taken our ugly duckling and turned it into a beautiful white swan!!
Our next project was to replace and upgrade the railing on our living room stairs. Tom chose his wonderfully gifted carpenter Gabe to do the work and Gabe did a masterful job.
Most recently we hired Stumpff Homeworks to replace the four doors on our main floor. And once again we were thrilled with the results and the lovely difference it made in our home!
All of his workers are talented with what they do. And we have learned through conversations with Tom that he REALLY knows his craft.
For our next home project we have no reason to look any further than Stumpff HomeWorks!

Tom Stumpff replies to you quickly and directly. This was a definite plus for me and one of the reasons why we signed on with Stumpff Homeworks, LLC. Stumpff HomeWorks is a terrific company to work with! Tom Stumpff has an excellent crew. I have had several jobs done. His carpenter fixed wood rot on a front bay window and repainted it. I also had wood rot on my deck repaired and then had the entire deck sealed. The neighbors think my twenty year-old deck looks brand new! I had flooring installed in a basement room and in my bathrooms. Stumpff HomeWorks is my go-to company for all repair or construction work. I trust Tom's judgment and have always been completely satisfied with his teams' work. Prices are fair and Tom aims to please the customer.

Stumpff HomeWorks LLC has completed my second total room remodel. My first experience with Tom’s company was a master bath remodel completed in Nov. 2019. It is absolute perfection and so beautifully done.

I knew if I were to ever do another room remodel I would be choosing Stumpff HomeWorks because it’s so easy to work with Tom. He’s a perfectionist, very professional with lots of experience, and he has such an eye for detail and design.

Stumpff Homeworks helped us upgrade and replace all the windows in our house. We did it one floor at a time, as we were able to budget for the remodeling. They worked quickly and contained the mess very effectively. They stayed on schedule and completed phase two for us while we were away on vacation. That's how much we trust Tom and his team! We have had Stumpff work on several projects at our house at this point. From as complex as completely renovating two bathrooms to as simple as hanging a Frame TV and they’ve been outstanding each time.

In the four weeks since we inaugurated our renovated kitchen, I’ve been searching for the superlatives to describe our experience with Tom Stumpff and his team. Coming up short, let me settle by saying that my wife and I are thrilled: the kitchen is everything we wanted, only better! Tom gets huge credit, uncannily understanding our goals and tastes. I’m not the trusting sort, for example initially resisting some of Tom’s design suggestions. But as the project proceeded, particularly during the construction stage, I increasingly understood that he probably had a better sense than I did of what would look good to me. Tom is also a perfectionist. For example, near the end of construction he felt that the location of one of the can lights was off and so had his team close it up and then cut/wire a new one. Similarly, he was unhappy with the floor trim below one of our appliances and so constructed a magnetic face plate with wood that matched our cabinet. And the Cabinets!! They are awesome, beautifully grained and incredibly functional. Tom took us to visit the cabinet maker at his workshop, who helped guide us on some key design choices, such as the wood (ash) and extending them to the ceiling rather than the more-typical choice of ending somewhat lower. A few additional happy-face emojis: Tom's workers were very friendly and did an awesome job cleaning up at the end of each day. Indeed at the end of the project, when Tom's housekeeping crew arrived, I thought they had already been through. The weekend after, when we were unpacking, we asked Tom for an extra shelf for each of our vertically spacious cabinets... and there they were when we got home from work on Monday. Since then, to my surprise, I've been finishing my evenings cleaning up the kitchen, admiring and enjoying our new digs. Lastly, we've already independently hired two of the contractors Tom recommended: a plumbing company and a roofer, both of which have excellent reputations (I checked) and significantly underbid several competitors.

And the final test was hosting family for the holidays and it was everything we hoped it would be…the perfect marriage between beauty and function. I cannot recommend Stumpff Homeworks enough. Their expertise, care, and commitment to excellence are second to none.

We hired Tom and his team at Stumpff HomeWorks to remodel our large basement and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. And most important of all, the finished product—a library with a lot of detailed carpentry work—exceeded my expectations. It’s beautiful, and I’m delighted.

Picking a contractor is insanely nerve racking. We all know someone who has a horror story, but trust me, you don’t not need to fret if you select Stumpff Homeworks. The team helped reign me in when I got distracted and offered up innovative solutions to help deliver my desired end result. Once construction began the level of quality and attention to detail was shockingly refreshing. I’ve remodeled several homes previously and have an appreciation for all the details that are involved. I’ve never been able to let another contractor do the work because I’m a bit OCD when it comes to how things are finished. With Tom and his crew of expert craftsmen, I quickly learned that they know exactly what they are doing and take immense pride in exceeding your expectations. Tom will not be your cheapest bid. If that is what you are looking for, you’ll need to pick someone else. If you want incredible craftsmanship performed by honest and just freakin’ cool people that produce the house or room of your dreams that you’ll get to enjoy for years and years, this is the team.

Great experience with Stumpff Homeworks! Had a complete laundry room remodel. Tom and his employees were easy to work with. Designing with the assistance of the interior decorator Molly was simple. Project started on time and workers were there almost every day working until the project was complete. Area was always clean and tidy at the end of each day. Minimal disruption to our daily lives. Laundry room was taken down to the studs along with removal of closet. New tile, custom cabinetry, sink, new stacked washer/dryer, built in folding table, and amazing finishings throughout. Tom was easy to communicate with throughout the process and always responded quickly. Would 100% use Stumpff HomeWorks for future projects.

We did a bathroom remodel with Stumpff HomeWorks and they delivered exactly what we wanted. Tom is very professional, he is nothing like any contractor we have worked with before. He was very transparent with us every step of the way. He responded in a timely manner, followed through, and kept us updated. I was impressed with how quickly he came up with solutions when we stumbled across some minor hiccups (every project has a surprise or two, let’s be real!). Overall timeline was maintained, minor details took slightly longer than expected but it was out of Stumpff HomeWorks' control. I recently purchased an electric vehicle (EV) and I needed to have a home-based charging station installed. After seeing all of the positive reviews online and speaking directly with owner, Tom Stumpff, I felt extremely confident hiring Stumpff Homeworks to do the installation. I cannot give enough stars. We hired Stumpff after a terrible experience with another contractor left us with an unusable master bathroom. Tom and his team were incredibly professional, helpful, kind and efficient. From day one, they were understanding of the position we were in, and did everything in their power to make our project as easy and seamless a process as they could. Jennifer was amazing in helping us through the design process, providing guidance and options without ever pushing us in any one direction. Tony and the onsite team were efficient, communicative and quick to address any questions or concerns. Our project came in on budget, on time, and better than we imagined. Having seen the other end of the spectrum, I am positive that the work Stumpff did was done with pride and quality, and will stand the test of time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

For our home remodel - exemplary from start to finish. This project was much more than just price, scope, and schedule - but of artistic design impressions as well. Meeting with Tom at the start for development of a proposal, there was a discovery/creative stage by inquiry of our interests to imagine a conceptual design scope for generating a proposal- through his professional approach, trust, and creative talents - our choice was made during the proposal development process. Any other bid process would have been "Apples v Oranges". Project went great, so detailed in quality materials and workmanship, his staff of direct hire talent/labor were amazing/friendly too, sub contractors were excellent as well, materials of construction quality....on time schedule, punch list items addressed in a responsive manner, for a good finish to close out.
