They showed up when they were supposed and others work; however they left my patio a mess and placed a green cap for sprinkler wiring at the entrance of my rock area. Very noticeable so that left me disappointed.

Not at all happy with the mowing, trimming and fertilizing of the grounds in my HOA neighborhood. They just don't seem to care where they mow or where they fertilize. I would not recommend them at all.

Hermes delivered and planted 9 trees for the Greystone Estates Subdivision. Work was performed as promised; on-time, at budget and in a quality manner. Keith was my salesperson and he was great to work with: honest, responsive and knowledgeable.

The folks at Hermes Landscaping did a fabulous job of designing and installing our new gardens here in Lenexa. Jay and the crews were patient (given we really didn't know what to do or even what was possible) were easy to work with. They helped us to find a design that we loved and that worked within the requirements of our neighborhood HOA restrictions. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product!

I called Hermes Landscaping for advice on locating my sprinkler water valve since I recently bought a new home and never had a sprinkler system before and could not get it working on my own. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and explained the Sprinkler Activation process and that cost would be $119 + any inspections / repairs / introduction or training would be additional time and cost at $80/hour + parts. I called a few other landscape companies for quotes and most seemed to cost about the same or little more so I called Hermes back to schedule a sprinkler Activation appointment since they were located less than 1 mile from my house and reviews I read at the time looked good. Again the nice lady answered the phone and transferred me to scheduling. Nobody answered and I had to leave a message. No return call after 2 days. I called back and spoke to the nice lady again who transferred me to scheduling where I again left a message. No call back after another 2 days + a weekend. I called back on a Monday and explained to the nice lady that I was not getting a return call for scheduling. She transferred me directly to a person in scheduling. The scheduling lady who answered the phone was again a very nice lady and scheduled my sprinkler activation for next day (Tuesday) at 8:00 am.

I took Tuesday morning off work and waited. I received a phone call from a guy at 8:20 who did not speak very well English saying he could not find my house. I apologized and gave very clear and easy directions to my house which has been very easy for anyone else to find who has been there for other home inspections and such. I waited another 20 minutes and received another call back from this guy at 8:40 saying he still could not find the house. I tried explaining again where my house was and asked where he was currently to better explain how to get here from where he was. He could not tell me exactly where he was. The more he talked the less I could even understand what he was saying.

I canceled my appointment, went to work and got a referral from my Brother In-Law who has used Pipeline Sprinkler Systems and has been very happy with their service.

I googled "Hermes Landscaping" again to look at reviews and try to understand why I wanted to work with them over the other companies I googled. I found "Hermes Landscaping Lawsuit" an article from March 2017. (I DO NOT RECOMMEND HERMES LANDSCAPING FOR ANYTHING)

I called Pipeline and spoke with Alex. (FIVE STAR RATING *****)He was a little hard to understand on the phone but a very nice guy. He advised that sprinkler activation would be $84. I explained to him that I was a new homeowner and didn't know how to run the sprinkler system and that I didn't even know where the water valves were located. He talked some more about the activation and introduction to the sprinkler system but I could not understand him very well and thought the cost was going to be a little more because I needed more than just an Activation but also and inspection and introduction. I proceeded to schedule an appointment anyway. He scheduled me for the same day late afternoon / early evening (Tuesday). Shortly after hanging up the phone I received an email and text message with the appointment confirmation. The email had a google map pinpointing my address. (Already better service from Pipeline than I got from Hermes).

That evening about 6:00 pm I received a text message that Alex was en route to my location. He was at my house about 6:20. He was a very nice guy easier to understand in person. We found my water valves, troubleshoot what wasn't working, programmed the sprinkler controller, tested all the zones, introduced me to all the components and explained how everything works. He made recommendations for maintaining and winterizing. By about 7:40 everything was working and I was completely satisfied with his service. Cost was still only an even $84.00.

I will be leaving a very good review for Pipeline Sprinkler Systems and DO RECOMMEND using PIPELINE.

Hermes is very family oriented. Whenever I need to deal with family issues, the bosses have been understanding with adjusting my schedule to allow me to be there for my family. From the Big Boss to the lowest field laborer, everyone is nice and genuinely happy to see each other. I have brought several concerns to my supervisor and my concern is taken seriously and they work with me to find a solution.

They delay constantly. Granted our builder is their customer, so that could be some of the timing issue. Once they do show up, it is completely dependent on which crew you get. The crew that completed our drain did a great job. However, it turns out that our sprinkler system was leaking from the beginning. Also, lines were laid across property lines, discovered when we put in a fence. After 2 months of extremely high water bills, and documenting a visible leak, they investigated. A month later, they admitted a line was punctured and actually repaired the issue. It's exhausting to be their customers. The quality manager tries but to no avail. They have serious communication issues. They don't listen to us, who have owned homes before with sprinkler systems. What do we know? It's normal to have water leaking downhill past 2 lots right? It's normal to grow mold by your mailbox? I don't understand how they stay in business.

We were very happy with Hermes Landscaping. They listened to what we wanted and worked with us to make our vision even better for our area. Great understanding of plants and hard scape! Three beds were put in as well as a retaining wall. Lovely. We are adding another bed and sod is being laid to complete the look. Never pushy. Very helpful.

Positives: Our landscaping looks better than it did before Hermes. It (mostly) looks like what they designed.
Negatives: They took our deposit in early spring, and then didn't call us. We called them to check in after a month of silence, and they put us on the schedule for that week. Then, we had to call multiple times over a period of several months (they never called us) before they installed phase 2. For phase 2, they showed up one day without ever communicating they were coming. The phase 2 installation did not match the plans they had drawn up. We spent nearly a month calling until they came out to fix it. Meanwhile, they sent us the final invoice before phase 2 was even started. We had to explain several different times with different people that we wouldn't pay the final bill until the work was complete. When finally the work was complete and correct, we promptly paid the final invoice within a week. Nevertheless, I am still being contacted by other people in the office for the money. It has been frustrating.
Final Determination: Very unprofessional, and unorganized. I would not recommend.

I just want to thank Kristy for helping to get my project finished by the weekend. Also, let Hugo and Escabar know how great everything looked when we returned home Sunday afternoon. You could tell how much pride they take in making everything look so beautiful!! We couldn’t be happier with the way the patio turned out!!

Hermes was extremely responsive and available from the moment I looked into using them for our drainage project. From the back-end staff setting things up, to the men who completed the work, everyone was overly communicative, professional and happy to help answer any questions. I look forward to using them again!

Couldn’t recommend Hermes Landscaping enough! I’ve had them contracted through the spring, summer, fall and winter and each season they have exceeded my expectations. Christian, specifically, has been so incredibly attentive and helpful. It’s so nice knowing that he’s just a phone call away, is always happy to answer any questions and is at my property diligently. From the first phone call for information and scheduling to the initial design discussions, installation and follow-up service, we were very pleased with the Hermes approach. All our questions were answered timely, the installation was professional, and the installers protected our spring grass and existing plants. We are very pleased with our landscaping and the efficiency and focus on customer service. Each Hermes representative has been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We would use them again for additional landscaping services.
