Tree reviews in Maize, Kansas

Happy Tree, LLC was quite phenomenal in what they accomplished in one day of trimming at our place. They knew what they were doing and they were very efficient at doing it. We are very pleased with the results and they will be returning next year for the next step in beautifying our yard.

Roger is knowledgeable and wants to not only help ensure a beautiful canopy for our community, but also a better understanding of it. His feedback and care for our trees has been extremely insightful and helpful - and delivered with kindness and professionalism.

He also has offered services to the nonprofit organization that I work for at no cost to the org, ensuring that families experiencing homelessness have a healthy canopy around the building and playground where they find shelter. I would recommend Roger and Happy Tree with confidence!

Roger & Samuel cut down our beloved Saw Tooth Oak Tree that died from 2024 harsh winter. Their workmanship was amazing!

You guys showed up like tree ninjas and made my experience great. Fast, professional, and not a single stray branch left behind. I didn’t know tree trimming could be this satisfying—10/10 would absolutely call you again (and tell my neighbors too)!

Roger Spexarth is a Board Certified Master Arborist which we wanted. He responded to our request timely as we were very concerned about condition of several trees .
He treated 3 trees for Chlorosis , pruned deadwood from an enormous mulberry tree & did root excavation on 9 trees using an airspade. They created mulch ring after pruning circling roots & placed mulch .
Roger & his crew worked so hard & the clean up was exceptional . We were very pleased with the appearance of the trees. We felt the expense of the project was certainly reasonable . Roger was honest about the trees possibly not recovering from chlorosis & will follow up . One tree improved within a few weeks & we are hoping despite the drought & water limitations the 2 other trees will survive.
Thank you Happy Tree.

I had several limbs down after the last couple of storms that I was able to take care of myself, but there was a large limb hanging that I didn't feel comfortable tackling. Roger came out within 24 hrs of my call and took care of it. Great service, his experience showed on this one. I'll definitely keep them in my Rolodex.

Happy Trees has helped us with diagnosis, treatment, pruning and removal. Roger has extensive knowledge of trees and he cares about their health. I recommend Happy Trees for care of your trees.

Happy Tree does excellent, technical, and safe work. I had a storm split the trunk of a large cottonwood last fall, at risk of falling on neighbor's house/structures. Called Happy and they came out very quickly to first make it safe/remove risk of falling and then to remove the tree at my request. Discussed all options with me, including ways to try to save the tree. Technical rigging, climbing, crane work were all required on this one. As a follow up, i had them come do some maintenance trimming in my yard and it was all done and removed before I even came home and was completed in a single day. Excellent customer service and communication.

Wichita is fortunate to have Roger and Happy Tree. He provides expert service as well as education on how to care for our trees. Watching him work, it is obvious he cares about his work and the trees.

Happy Tree, LLC did an excellent job pruning back branches on a large tree growing next to my house. Integrity to the tree is important to Happy Tree and they take great care and pride in what they do.

Roger with Happy Tree had to make a request to Evergy to get a safe clearance from power lines in order to trim deadwood from my aging elm in College Hill and made several trips to check on the status. He was persistent and completed my job shortly after Evergy completed theirs. He even hauled off the debris Evergy trimmers left behind! The entire crew was professional, respectful of my landscape and cleaned up well afterwards. This satisfied customer highly recommends Happy Tree.

Roger and his crew did an amazing job with my over grown trees. Top notch from start to finish. Very professional. I highly recommend them.

Roger is the picture of passionate professionalism. He is always learning and is the gold standard for arboriculture. I also have reason to believe that he is one of the main driving forces in the climbing community that advocates furthering the education and best safety practices.

Happy Tree is top notch! The quality of work, knowledge, and companionship for the canopy is unmatched in this area. If you’re looking for a qualified arborist to care for your trees you will not be disappointed.

Roger and his team were very professional and thorough. It’s evident he knows his craft and loves it as well. He took the time to really examine the tree to find the problem and explain it with me rather than just prescribe a fix and make a sale. Highly recommend.

Roger always brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every job and event. A true professional in the arboriculture community. Highly recommend!

Major trimming to prevent more potential storm damage. I’ve used Roger and Cree for years. Highly recommend!

I have four trees in my front yard that needed to be trimmed. I met with Roger from Happy Tree who is a Master Arborist and he explained what was needed and was very knowledgeable. I was amazed when the trimming was completed it was a night and day difference and he and his team even left my yard and walkways cleaner after they were done than they had been prior to the job. Price was fair, he and his team are very professional. I highly recommend.

Roger and Samuel did a masterful job of presenting a spar rescue on a dead Pine tree. The ETC crew is a step closer to performing a tree rescue should the need arise. Thank You!

We have been blessed with Roger for at least 3 years now. He is very knowledgeable. We have 2 trees that he saved from dying. He just trimmed several of our trees this season.

We cannot say enough great things about Roger and his crew! He took the time to carefully and skillfully prune our tree, setting it up to thrive for years to come. Beyond the excellent work, he was extremely generous in sharing his knowledge during our consultation—explaining the “why” behind his approach and giving us tips to help maintain the tree’s health. It’s clear that he truly cares about both the trees and the people he serves. We are so grateful for his expertise and highly recommend him to anyone in need of professional tree services in our area!
