General Contractor reviews in Overland Park, Kansas

Did a great job turning an older 70s claustrophobic space into an open, elegant and modern kitchen. Very happy with the outcome.

Wonderful company. Very responsive. Clear and well communicative. Putting your mind clearly at ease working with John and his crew. Would recommend you hire them. The best in KS city area.

I purchased an Omni Property as my first home and couldn’t be happier. We were looking for a historic home that had complete renovation and Omni gave us just that! They let us pick the paint, flooring, counter tops via video chat and really made us feel like this was a custom home.

I had a major remodel done to my house and Omni really came through. They were completely professional, punctual and gave me a great value for my money. The workmanship is outstanding and I will recommend them to anyone considering a project for their home.

Great communication and responsive. Always cleaned work area before leaving. Owner made sure work was to my complete satisfaction and handled any issues decisively and quickly. Each sub-contractor was professional and communicative. Finished product met my high standards and I've been in the space now every night.
Would recommend!

Don at Omni Constructions did a great job! Very professional and timely. He did everything he said he would during the estimate process. I would highly recommend their services!!

We hired this company to remodel a very depressing 70’s dungeon basement in a house we had just purchased. We interviewed several contractors but JT the owner, and Raj their architect were the most knowledgeable by far and gave us very sound advice on the direction we should take going forward. Resell value for the future was important to us so they designed our basement to fit that concern. Super easy to communicate with, straight forward and showed up on time! Total cost was $32,000 (the budget allotted from the beginning) on a full basement remodel and it exceeded our expectations. Definitely a company to look into as we personally will be using them for future projects here on out!

John Trout and his team of employees and contractors did an excellent job on my basement and I highly recommend. John is also very transparent with costs which was very important to me. It’s very important that you trust that your builder is being fair and not cutting corners and I never was concerned about that with John Trout at Omni!

I hired this team to convert my garage into an extra room in my house. The team did an amazing job with the conversion. Everyone was very polite and professional. They listened to what we needed for the room and gave us plenty of options. I am very happy with the outcome of the project!

Baron Contracting is amazing, I love how they are always giving back the to community. Volunteering with local charities and giving to our schools is one of there top priorities.

The Baron Contracting team went above and beyond with our TI project. Their team delivered us a top-notch office space that was on time and on budget.

Baron Contracting was fantastic to work with and delivered our awesome space on time and on budget. Will definitely be engaging Baron in the future!

Coming from the subcontractor point-of-view, I can tell you that Baron Contracting continues to have a better knowledge of their projects and the details on them compared to any other company I have worked with. I highly recommend choosing Baron Contracting for your next project.

Baron Contracting did an excellent job on our office buildout and expansion in Corporate Woods, completing the work as promised and on time. Jeff and Colin were great to work with and very responsive to our questions and last minute change requests. We highly recommend Baron Contracting!

Baron Contracting has been partnering with SumnerOne to support our Operation Breakthrough event for many years. Each year SumnerOne takes underprivileged kids to a Kansas City Chiefs football game. Not only do we provide tickets but we tailgate, face paint, play games and provide an entire day of fun. Baron Contracting is not only willing to support this event with a donation, but they're on hand all day to help serve food, set up tents and seating. They make sure the kids have a great time. We appreciate Baron Contracting and all they do support our local community!

Baron Contracting is the best contracting organization our firm has ever worked with. They handle every project with the same level of care, no matter how big or small. Baron has done small tenant finish projects, all the way up to complete buildings for us, and leave no details unfinished. John, Jeff and their team have a meticulous eye for detail, holding their subcontractors to a higher level of standard than other General Contractors. As a result, Kiewit always gets a quality product at a good price.

The Andersons, Inc. (formerly Lansing Trade Group) experience with Baron Contracting has always been excellent. We’ve used their team on a number of projects in our current Corporate Woods space over the last 12 years, including a recent 40,000 square foot complete remodel, and they have never disappointed. Baron’s team is cooperative, innovative and, above all else, professional. They pride themselves on providing quality work that is performed both timely and efficiently. With this most recent project, they performed above and beyond our expectations due to the unique challenges of this full-scale remodel, with all personnel remaining on-site. They overcame all obstacles by providing flexibility in their scheduling, anticipating any problems and quickly communicating those issues along with their proposed solutions or changes to the original scope of work. While I personally hope we are done with remodeling projects for a while, I will not hesitate to call Baron whenever that situation changes!

Quality work from start to finish. Highly recommend. Five star.

I spoke with Jesse on the phone today about some new homes in the area. He was polite and really took the time to listen to me. I look forward to working with him on future projects.

Had some water damage to framing, drywall and trim and had to rip out and replace a small section of framing and the drywall/trim in the area. Black Oak was responsive even though it was a small job in comparison to other jobs they typically do. They knocked it out quickly and it was all completed inside of a week. They were neat and clean with the work and most importantly it’s all fixed again and looks great. I’ve worked with them before and once again I’d tell anyone that I’d hire no one else for renovations large or small. Scott and Ted are true pros that can handle any rennovation or construction. I also like them because they're fellow veterans. They have the mentality, integrity and commitment to do the job right and stand behind what they do.

Black Oak Construction is the best! Ted has done countless jobs for me over multiple years. Anything from small repairs to finishing my basement including a bathroom, bar, family room and more. He’s replaced doors interior and exterior. He’s resolved emergency plumbing repairs. 🙏🏼 He’s been a house saver!
I’m a single mom so there’s been a lot I’ve needed help with. The best part is Ted is always friendly and happy to help. I stand corrected the best part is he’s reliable and trustworthy. I trust him in my home alone and he’s great with my kids and dogs. I’m thankful Black Oaks has my back!!! I highly recommend them to everyone.
