Very rude staff including the service/repair man. Lucky for me because found the exact same machine at Windmill Village for almost $1000 less. Guess I should thank you, I almost bought this machine here til the poor service made me decide to go shopping.

Tried to sell me a Used Disney Brother machine for $700+ . Openly tried to scam me, are you serious? It's as if they don't know we had to use the internet to find the store. And we have used the internet to browse/price/compare before we came in. Will never go back.

Very kind and helpful fixing my sewing machine. It ended up being a minor issue that was fixed very quickly. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Great experience - I bought a refurbished Janome and he showed me how to use it and provided all the things I needed to get started. I would definitely recommend this local KC business.

One of the women who works out front is helpful and explains the items being purchased well, if she feels you may not fully understand. The others who work out front are rude and condescending. I ordered a small part from one of them and was quoted a price of $1-2. When the item arrived, it was $5. Had it not wasted my time and gas/wear and tear on my car, I would have left without purchasing It.

I have had two of my machines in for repair. Usually JL can diagnose the problem while you wait and can usually fix it while you wait. My serger works like brand new and he keeps my embroidery machine humming along.

Fixed my sewing machine better than ever. The previous person from Lawrence didn’t know how to fix it and tried anyway-so he had his work cut out for him and now it’s like it’s new!!!!! It’s at least 15 years old!

This local store features primarily Singer and Brother brand sewing machines of all price ranges. They have accessories, new and refurbished, available - even for older machines. They also clean and repair sewing machines. The customer service is spotty, but it is good place to support a local vendor with a great deal of expertise.

Called around to a few shops to get my sewing machine serviced and everyone else was backed up for a month. They were able to get my machine done in 3 days and even showed me a few things on my machine I didn’t know about. Will definitely be returning!

Love the service here! Customer since moving here in 1996. Been in many times. Mostly for service. Also bought a pretty pricey gift here and maintenance products to care for my sewing/pressing equipment. I've never been disappointed!

Customer service is abysmal! I took in a perfectly good machine for a yearly maintenance. Things went from bad to worse. He blew power cord, the machine stopped working, he messed up the screen and had to order another one, just to call me after TWO WEEKS and tell me it was dead and to come pick it up!! :::SHOCK::: He couldn't do anything else with it. He refused to give any other solution. No replacement machine for his screw up or anything!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE unless you want sheer disappointment.

I’m really surprised at the negative reviews I’m reading here.
One reason I am giving a 5 star rating is- the owner was kind enough 2 years ago- to come all the way from the Overland Park store to Lawrence, KS to evaluate and repair my 4 piece Horn furniture set, due to movers severely damaging all pieces to the point of lost hope -of ever using it again. He manage to correct all drawer mechanisms to work the drawers, the on the leafs to eliminate crookedness and fix the broken wheels. Try Ely impressive considering what a mess they all were. And get this- the gentleman told me he didn’t need to be paid. I insisted and his comment was pay then what you feel like if you feel the need but don’t worry about it. And he left empty handed. A couple weeks later I sent him a thank-you note and $300 because I was just so happy with the job and his kindness. THAT WAS TRUELY ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORM OF PEOPLE TODAY.
IVE BEEN TO THE STORE A FEW TIMES. Nobody knew me from Adam- they each, including the service department have been patient, kind, answering questions about my old but functional machines without getting any money from me and I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY UNKINDNESS FRIM ANY STAFF PERSON.
THIS LAST WEEK I BROUGHT IN 3 of my 5 old machines -Dated 1995 to 2001- for service for the first time. The service manager waited on me. He didn’t know me and yet was professional, personable, kind and patient with my old goods. He did not try to sell me or was there any noticed disinterest of my needs during the checkin process of evaluating each concern. He explained that there were new upgrades that he would be installing as part of his service which would give me more enjoymentIn sewing and embroidery options. Really!!!!
I was surprised to have this free!! forthcoming information I was unaware had finally been developed!!! no more having to stay with windows 7 to work the old editions!!! New Upgrades- part of service- no extra cost- no sales pitch. A few days after this I received the call all were ready for pickup and no issues were found. Price was as quoted and come by when I could.
OK. Again this store has not let me down. I am thankful they were recommended to me when I moved here to Kansas from Indiana and they haven’t changed a bit. Ethical business practices remain tip top. You poor reviewers- need to try again. I think you will find they really are a good group after all.

J.L. worked on 2 brother sewing machines. One was a refurbishing (brother 3600d) and he did awesome work at very reasonable pricing. He also has a fabulous assortment of high end machine embroidery thread. I will most definitely be back for any future sewing needs!

The people here are so helpful! My Brother pe800 was giving error codes, so I took it to Sew Easy Sewing Center on a Monday and it was fixed by Friday morning! Very reasonable pricing and very good customer service. Thank you!!

Highly recommended! What a breath of fresh air! I called before I went to get an estimate on diagnosis the problem & to see what the time frame was for fixing. The ownere said he'd like to look at it first & talk about the issue with me before giving a me estimate. This is my 4th attempt at resolving a tension issue (typcially an eaiser fix, but another co "fixed it" & after taking it back 2 times, wanted to charge me more) In less than 15 mins, the owner immediately said, it's the thread you are using..... too grainy. Didn't charge a thing to look at the machine! I bought some thread & felt pads, would have been happy to pay something for his time. It was a blessing to know my machine wouldn't be in the shop for 2 wks. I found my new place for repairs!

My machine had a thread-ball that dislodged the bobbin casing. The gentleman helped me carry it in, put it back together properly, and adjusted the tension AND the automatic needle threader that hadn't worked for years. Incredible, friendly service. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely. I looked for a place close to where I live, but I'd drive a long way to use them if I had to.

J L was a very nice gentleman. Took in my old White Co/Kenmore sewing machine to get tuned up. Unfortunately, the machine needed a new part that is no longer available anywhere. J L called me with the sad news and didn't charge me since he was unable to fix it. He has great integrity!

I took a basic model Brother sewing machine that was five years old to Sew Easy to be fixed. JL was friendly and SO knowledgeable! He fixed my machine over the weekend and I was back up and running come Monday. I'm so glad I used their service!

Brought my heirloom quilt in 2 months ago and was promised a call well before christmas that it would be done. Just picked up my quilt 2 weeks after Christmas with no call it was done. They MISmeasured and quoted me a price in November. Upon pickup in January was quoted a higher price. No apology. No admittance they measured wrong. I had to eat their mistake if I wanted my quilt. I highly recommend any other quilt store for your sewing needs.

Dropped off my sewing machine for a tune-up. Wait time was supposed to be 10-14 days, but it was done in 7! It came back all shiny and purring like a kitten. Very happy with my experience here!

I love love love this little shop. I drive over 100 miles to shop there. Purchased my new PR 1055x from this amazing shop. Their customer service is TOP notch. Since I live so far away over the phone assistance is a plus. Best service ever! Thank you all for taking care of all my needs.
