Window Installation reviews in Overland Park, Kansas
-
Friendly folks. I've bought tempered glass for a tabletop and regular glass for a picture frame. Quality and cost were fine both times.

I have been working with All Weather Window and Doors since 2018. They have now installed all the windows in my house, my back porch slider door and my front door. While the quality of the products is excellent, what has kept me coming back to them is their fantastic customer service. They come when they say the will, and everything they installed has been absolutely perfect. I have used several contractors over past few years whose work has ranged from awful to acceptable and it is so refreshing to work with a company where everything is just done right. Windows and doors are big investments and I am glad that I went with these guys for my purchases.
Official response from representative 29.02.2024 17:05Thanks so much for your kind words and your repeat business. Customers like you are the best! I will share this with our production team, they love hearing when our clients are happy too. Please let us know if you need anything else. Doug & Jolene Bennett / owners -
We just had our second group of windows installed by All Weather Windows. Jack and Blake Beerbower did an excellent job with the install. They went above and beyond the call of duty by spraying for ants which they discovered when the old windows were removed. Like a previous review stated the time from measure to install may be a little long but the quality of their work is worth the wait IMO.
Official response from representative 05.10.2022 15:37Thanks so much for the positive comments. We look forward to working with you again soon. Doug Bennett - President/Owner -
I am in the process of having my house painted and my guy accidentally steps on one of the windows. Right?!
I called around to find a place that would replace glass on the windows. First of all, most places either do auto glass or window replacements or installation, not repair glass. That left me with only a few choices.
I called all of the ones that did repair glasses on windows and this came in at the cheapest and fast. It was only $20 to replace the glass on the window as opposed to $247 and $150 at other places I called.
Granted, when you come here, it's a very unassuming place but it's in an industrial block so I wasn't expecting much. I assume that keeps the overhead cost way down which is a benefit for customers like me.
I can't wait to get my window back and come back to get other windows replaced since it's affordable. -
Jack Beerbower and crew were professional, courteous and performed high quality installation of a door, a window replacement and a conversion of a door to a window. He and his team were flexible, took all comments in stride and even came up with solutions due to house conditions that greatly improved the finished product. We had dogs, a baby and out of town visitors staying with us and this created distractions that didn't seem to affect them in the slightest. I would recommend this crew and All Weather Windows to anyone as we are picky people and they incorporated every bit of feedback we gave them into the install.

Very knowledgable people who take the time to make sure you are getting what you need. I had an unusual order in that I wanted door glass only, not the door with the glass. They measured to make sure their glass would fit in my existing door. They followed-up after installation to make sure I was satisfied. I had my experienced painter in a week later and he said he had not seen such good glass door work before (he took All-Weather's contact information for future use).
Official response from representative 19.10.2019 04:37Thanks so much for your business and your kind words. Glad we could help you! Doug B. -
Used them for work to fix an exterior door panic bar. Showed up on time (early actually). Fixed the door quickly and at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

The family owned business is well run and could handle our higher maintenance custom order. We put in a new back door off of our Kitchen with a small mechanical dog door on the bottom. The paint on the out of the door and the inside matched and everything was seamless.
The cost seemed very fair for the quality that we needed in an exterior door.
Now, the company is not the fastest so if you are looking to do a quick kick on your project you might find someone faster. Basically the cost of a better deal is dealing with their time schedule of when they can get to you.
Since they provide quality at a reasonable price, call early and get started with a meeting and education of your options. We had Keven; he's nice, not pushy and but wants to fully understand what you're looking to do.
Happy customers, like us will be repeat customers.Official response from representative 05.11.2018 16:41Thank you for your 5 Star review. I am sure the door will serve you well for many years. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to serving you again. Doug Bennett President / Owner -
The exterior of our house had been neglected for too long, and needed windows, doors, and siding repaired. While we knew this, the City also let us know.
We wanted to work with a locally owned company, where we could talk with the owner if any issues came up. We now have all new windows, which I'm sure are much more efficient. But also noticing how much quieter from outside noise. The new doors are also a huge upgrade; very nice. We couldn't be happier with the final outcome.
Thanks to the whole team! -
Absolutely the most ill advised recommendation I ever took. We hired at the suggestion of our roofing company who thought they could work together. All Weather immediately ceased conversation with everyone involved until us threatening a lawyer long after the roofing company was finished. Work was not done to HARDI siding company standards. Many days of work were missed trying to salve issues we still are not sure were addressed properly. Please save yourself the headaches, Blue Springs Siding did our shop for 1/2 the price All-Weather bid and did work in conjunction with the roofers and it looked like they wrote the instruction manual.
Official response from representative 14.09.2018 19:03Hello Brad, I am sorry that you are not satisfied. I must admit I am totally surprised as well. When we met last, you did not give me any impression that you were unhappy with the finished product. We have not been informed of any unresolved issues since our last punch-list completion walk-thru. We did have an installation inspection performed on your home's siding with the installation rep from James Hardie. We were not informed of any deficiencies by the manufacturers employee during or after… -
Sales rep (Will) visited with me today to quote the replacement of 2 large windows and 1 small bathroom window. A dead cat could've acted more enthusiastic about getting my work. Before even seeing each of the windows, explaining my window options or anything related to selling me a product/service, he asked my budget and timeline. When I said I'd hoped for the next 30 days, he quickly told me he's 8 weeks out. This could've been told to me over the phone since the lady who set up my appt said Will would be calling to get more information about my project but he never called. Based on this and other things he said (ie: Are you planning to replace all the windows?...Had he actually taken the time to look, he would've seen that all others had already been replaced.), I got the feeling my project was just too small for him so I finally had to ask just that. His tune quickly changed and he finally pulled out a tape measure and acted interested. At each window, he asked "What do you want to do here?" and I would turn the question back to him to give me options at which point the answer was always the same...vinyl double hung. (Keep in mind these are 3 VERY different types of windows.) The window in the kitchen is huge and is going to cost an arm and a leg but I also know what options are more costly than others. When I asked Will about the 'double hung' option he tossed at me being more costly than a picture window, he responded saying he didn't know until he "got back to his computer to punch in the measurements". Even I know that when it comes to windows, anything that opens is going to be more expensive than something that doesn't of the same size. In addition, the entire kitchen has been gutted and is in the middle of being renovated so there's drywall dust on the floor. He is carrying the biggest laptop bag I've ever seen crammed full of stuff. It's more like the size of an overnight bag. He doesn't want to set it in the dust so he sets it on a small 12"x6" box that's sitting on the ground. He must've caught a glimpse of what was inside as he was sitting his bag on top since the box was open because he picked it back up...luckily. It was a light fixture for the kitchen! The quote came in later that day and it was 2.5 times more than the other two bids I had received. So disappointed with my experience.

I have been trying for almost a month to get an estimate. I was given an appt and apparently he booked it on the wrong day. I guess my $12,000 is nothing to them

Working with all the staff at All Weather was like sitting down with a long-time friend. They were very attentive to our needs and spent all the time necessary with us to explain all the details. I am not great with doors and windows. The job went quick and clean, I felt comfortable leaving the workers to do their jobs and went about my normal day. What a great bunch of people and the products were far above anything the big box stores offered. Selection was incredible, and price was well within my budget. Doug the owner was great in answering all our questions. This small business deserves 6 stars, an oh thank god I found someone with integrity, and a strong recommendation if you need windows, doors or siding on your home.

I called to see if they offer sunroom repair. While the gentleman that answered the phone said they do not, he was kind enough to offer some advice on locating someone who could do the work. This very well could be a 5 star--or 1 star--business, but I gave them 4 because they offered kindness when they could have just got off the phone with me once they knew they weren't getting my money.

We got a letter from the city back in March telling us our front door doesn't meet "city code". We went to the big stores and were not at all excited about the selection. We frequently pass All Weather on our commute so decided to stop in just to see what they had. They had the usual stuff on the showroom floor, but Doug didn't want to just make a sale. He genuinely wanted me to be excited about my purchase. He happily spent a great deal of time with me finding the perfect style and the perfect hardware. They also had a "virtual catalog" with more choices that allowed you to really see the door you are considering. I ended up with an absolutely gorgeous door that couldn't be any more uniquely me. I was not expecting to be so excited about a door, but like I said, I had no idea how much you can really reflect your own personal taste. Show the world who lives in your house by choosing something that is really unique to you. Doug and his wife Jolene (who has a great eye for style and spot-on intuition for what YOU are looking for) will walk you through a wonderful experience. I also like to support local/family businesses. This family will treat you like family. I like doing business with good people like them.
Official response from representative 20.07.2021 23:07Thanks for taking the time to post a review about our business. Your door looks amazing! Glad you love it! Let us know if you need anything else. Doug Bennett, President/Owner -
I can't believe I'm actually the first person to write a review on this company. We just moved to the area from Phoenix, Arizona. Every time we buy a house we end up remodeling it. In Arizona, there were a million different hard-working contractors that we could hire. Here, we have had a very difficult time finding reliable workers. Out of all of the contractors that we have used for our home here in Kansas this is the most reliable, affordable, honest, on time, and hard-working company we have worked with. They are the only people that I would highly recommend for shower door installation. Thank you Shane for always answering my emails, and showing up on time and doing a really good job. People like you are few and far between and we truly appreciate the work that you did.

Wonderful family owned business. No pressure sales and professional installation! I will be going back for any future needs!
-
Great place! Scott K. Works with you for the installation and is quick to resolve any issues!!
-
We ordered a front door and master bedroom window. They were careful to match the trim paint with the existing colors and get the color selection correct for our front door. The men doing the installation were wonderful. They made friends with our dogs, kept their work area clean, and went above and beyond what they were contracted to do. Probably not the cheapest place to work with, but you get what you pay for. We would use them again.
-
We were very pleased with the entire process of replacing all of the windows in our home. We were impressed with our salesman Kevin as well as the crew that installed the Windows. They definitely know what they are doing and with this type of investment you definitely want someone who knows what they are doing. Very impressed and recommend them to anyone. I have referred several others to them.

I have been a licensed contractor in KC for over 15 years, and have never been treated in such an unprofessional way. No returned phone calls, nor returned emails, no invoices, nothing. Then months later, they call with a big bucket of attitude and an email that says "pay your bill". Well how about you send me an invoice, or maybe return my phone calls, or emails? Extremely unprofessional, and totally un fun!
I will say however that the guys who came out to the job were very nice, and did great work.
