While I haven't been there, or used the "store" ... the people know their stuff and people who can fix tile issues and their recommendations are spot on. Something missing from many businesses today... knowledge beyond their walls and customer first.

We did a pick up from our original order in Lee's summit they had some pieces we needed went over and they were very helpful Tile shop had the best selection in the metro area price and quality trust us we went to all from grand view to way north kc at the mega place this tile was quality stuff and the price beat everyone else and the people were great at both stores the inventory was low that was the only bad thing

The markup here is pretty crazy.

I enjoyed the layout of the store and being able to see and feel the tile... but found the same tile at Lowe's that Tile Shop was charging 5x more for per square foot...

Salespeople also felt a bit pushy to me.

Good place to come get ideas, but I don't think I would trust their pricing or buy from here.

I had the best experience at The Tile Shop and wouldn't go anywhere else for tile. After being overwhelmed at Home Depot and wasting money on samples from online stores, I walked into the Shawnee Tile Shop because there's really no substitute for seeing and feeling the tile in-person. I received outstanding personalized service and ample gorgeous tile options at reasonable prices. Best of all, at no additional cost, Mr Criss Bull, a professional designer on staff, guided me through everything I needed to complete our master bathroom project - including matching grout, caulk, etc. He listened to what my vision was and really helped make it a reality. The store even delivered our tiles for free and answered our questions throughout our remodel project. Old school customer service experience!

They don't want to sell you anything if you don't give up your phone number. I never give up my phone number. I was trying to buy a piece of trim, but the employee refused to ring it up and told me to just take it and leave! That worked for me, I guess.

The prices here are also massively inflated.
They were asking over $7 per foot for the floor tile I liked. I found an almost identical style for $1.79 at Home Depot.

Walked in to return some tile and a male associate acknowledged our presence and then proceeded to tell us to hold on, while walking to the entrance. He then said "I have to see this" referring to a young lady walking by. He went to the door making remarks "cat calls" and referred to her behind. Then turned around and started barking. When asked how I was doing I said "better than the young lady you just disrespected" His reply... laughed and said he was sorry I felt that way.

Like? What is wrong with your employees? Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

All the bathroom and kitchen examples are pretty outdated. Didn't have much for new style and design. I would recommend this place for 60+ clientele.

The manager here is a spastic asshole. Literally two customers in the store and this guy is losing his freaking mind. He is very rude. Has zero customer service. I'm working on a $20,000 remodel and I ain't gonna spend a freaking dime of it here.

Very knowledgeable employees and unique products. Their selection is almost overwhelming because there is so much to choose from. Their employees are helpful in picking out the right products.

Poor service.
Walkedn the store spent 30 minutes and no one approached to provide support. Likely these sale associates work on commission so defies logic that service is not top notch. At the very least someone approaching saying "Thank you for visiting our showroom, a sales associate will be with you soon."

This store has a nice selection but very little in stock. As a result, almost everything has to be ordered and only in full boxes. But they don't refund partial boxes. The worst part was the manager Ken was rude and demeaning when we mistakenly attempted to return the excess tile.

We had a FANTASTIC experience at the The Tile Shop! After visiting almost all of the tile stores in the area, this location has selection, price points, and customer service that can't be beat! All of the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Carson was great to work with and made picking out tile for our bathroom remodel so easy! We are absolutely thrilled!

I have been restoring homes around the country for 30+ years and this was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I walked into the store on Nieman in Kansas City and Rhonda was sitting in a big leather chair typing on her phone and drinking her Big Gulp. We walked around the store and returned to her area several times, but my girlfriend was sure she didn't work there because she looked up and turned her attention back to her phone each time. We were obviously looking for assistance. She appeared annoyed when we finally approached her. She was rude and unfriendly. I had a question and she gave me incorrect information, rather than admitting she didn't know the answer. I was so blown away by her attitude that I left the store. I won't be back.

Recently bought backsplash tile for my kitchen from The Tile Shop. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and the tile I bought!

Always a pleasure working with these guys. Dacy knows how to make tile shopping easy. If I ever to dare to take on a tile project again, I will come here. So many more choices then HD or Lowes
