Jerry Havens did a great job on our system. We have a two story house and we couldn't cool the upstairs with our contractor grade system. We were supplementing with a portable unit and it was still uncomfortable on hot days. We had multiple estimates and everyone else recommended putting in two units. Jerry recommended zoning and a single unit with a variable speed compressor and fan to control humidity. He explained the science behind his reasoning and it made sense to us. We couldn't be happier with the result and the 30 percent savings on our summer electric bills. Maybe my wife could be happier because now she says is freezing all the time in the house :).

Woke up to a warm house and determined the AC had quit working. I called Havens and he was out that afternoon to fix the unit. A quick repair and the unit is operating at 100%. Great service along with a clear explanation of the problem and needed repairs. I now have a go to company !!

Jerry is courteous, honest, and cares about his customers. When he priced a new HVAC system for our home he spent a long time explaining how the units work and what we need for our specific home. He has always answered our calls and works with great effort and integrity!

Started having some sub-optimal cooling with frosting of my lines. I contacted Havens and even with a full schedule, they were able to squeeze me in before the impending hot weekend. Jerry was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He also took the time to answer all my questions and help me understand 1. what he was doing as he was doing it and 2. the different repair options (with the pros and cons of each). He got us back up and running in the short term while we decide on the proper long term solution.

We have used Havens Heating and Cooling for a few years and we have always had great service. Jerry is very knowledgeable and he explains everything in a way that it is easy to understand. He is great at returning calls and he shows up on time. He is also honest and fair. He goes above and beyond to provide great service.

We had three different companies perform estimates on replacing our 19 year old furnace and A/C units. Jerry Haven being the final estimate and by far the most affordable while using a superior product. Jerry came out on a Monday to do the estimate, He came back on Thursday and installed the entire system in 1 day.

My wife was home alone with a gaggle of children during the installation and she spoke very highly of Jerry. He made her feel comfortable throughout the entire process and was incredibly professional. I would recommend Havens Heating and Cooling to anyone that wants a great product at an affordable price, and who wants the piece of mind that comes with having a job done right. Jerry exemplifies professionalism , his work really speaks for itself.....if you are thinking about having any HVAC work done, call Jerry...you will not be disappointed!

I gave Jerry a call after hours, about an hour before a major event with the Bishop and several visiting clergy at our church, because the a/c for the main sanctuary wasn’t keeping up. He came straight over, diagnosed the problem (bad breaker), ran back to get a replacement part, and completed the work quietly and efficiently just as people were filing in. We narrowly avoided an embarrassingly uncomfortable situation thanks to his responsiveness and competence.

Our AC was out and Jerry was quick to respond. He wasn't completely certain what was causing the issue as nothing appeared to be wrong with the unit. He gave his opinion and we tried a first option of replacing the thermostat. That didn't solve the issue and Jerry was quick to come back out and do electrical testing on the furnace motherboard and found there was an issue. He didn't charge us for a 2nd service call and was back for a 3rd time the next morning with the new motherboard. He again didn't charge for the service call and the price was right in line with what I had researched for this type of work. I would certainly recommend him if you want someone to actually try to diagnose the issue without selling you product.

Jerry Havens installed our new Trane A/C Unit and did an incredible job!!! Extremely honest and professional individual. I have had him service my Heating and A/C unit for almost 10 years and am very happy with his prices, scheduling of job (he works with your schedule) and his friendly personalty. He even came over on a Sunday when I had an issue with my furnace. I will not use anyone else to service my system.

Dealt with another company for nearly two decades. They were always cordial and responsive. Furnace broke down about four years ago. It would take that same company over a week to get to me. Called Jerry at Havens. When he heard we had no heat, he came right away. Just over two years ago our AC unit broke down. Jerry replaced both heat and AC unit. Completely responsive, cordial, professional and with utmost integrity. This morning I called him with what I thought was an issue with the AC. He stopped by the house on the way to another call. He was here within the hour. I WON'T call anyone else but Havens.

We were without heat for a week in the coldest part of the winter. After giving up on the home warranty company and their contractors we called Jerry at Havens Heating and Cooling. Jerry answered the call on a weekend and was very professional. He was out the next day at 9am and had our issue fixed in less than 30 minutes. I was very impressed with how easily he fixed our issue after it took a week for the home warranty company and one visit from their local contractor & our problem still was not fixed. I would highly recommend Havens Heating & Cooling.

Purchased house with aging systems, first year worked fine. But, last summer AC fan went out, of course just as hot weather started. Always one to use small businesses when possible, called Havens for diagnosis and quote. Jerry was here with new unit late next day! Next the furnace gave up this fall. Simple problem - $400.00 replacement control. Rather than gamble on fixing and have another part fail this aged furnace, Jerry gave great price on new installed unit. And like the AC unit , he had it all installed in two days. Jerry always called to let me know when he would be coming, cleaned up and took care of hauling away useless units. Nice to see the owner doing the work and pride he takes.

Working with Haven's Heating and Cooling was a pleasure. They helped us choose the right HVAC system for our needs and budget, and followed that with a quality installation that was performed on time and budget.
(Trane's Run Tru 3 ton system has been operating here for 8 weeks now. We are very happy with all aspects of this unit.)

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Jerry!! He has helped repair our heating system (when others couldn’t). And as life goes, it went out when it was freezing outside. Jerry came promptly and got it working on a weekend. He’s also helped get our AC running after it went out on a hot summer day. When you need his help, he gets to you quickly. He’s very professional and knowledgeable!! We highly recommend Jerry!!

Recently our dependable 22 year old Trane HVAC was replaced by Jerry Havens of Havens Heating and Cooling in Crestwood. In its place is a modern Trane variable speed HVAC system with many options unavailable to our older Trane model. After living in the house for 38 years, we are thrilled with the cooling capability of the new system. To me, it feels as if the house insulation was increased. Jerry Havens, HVAC was recommended to us by close friends who have depended on Jerry for years. He is dependable and honest stands, by his work with preventative maintenance and service in Crestwood since 1996. Havens Heating and Cooling is an established business within our community that doesn’t need to cover the airwaves with ads. Word just gets around.

Called and left a message but they never called back :( .

charged me almost 400.00 to put 2 lbs of freon in my system. did not first try to find the leak...just said I needed to replace my system. 1 month later....no a/c....

Nonresponse from webpage request, phone call goes to voicemail (during posted hours) but voicemail is full and you cannot leave a message, texting to number given during answer service doesn't respond and trip to their offices looks (clear glass front) is not attended and looks as if office upkeep isn't performed and paperwork and empty boxes are all over.
How did this place get 4.7 stars?
The window has a banner celebration of great service recognition up to 2021... So maybe that was a long time ago with this being mid 2023.

BEWARE - Biggest issue with Havens is the lack of honesty and professional ethics. Jerry Havens replaced the fan motor on our Lennox furnace and charged us twice the going rate (almost a $1000). He would not give us a detailed bill (labor, parts, etc.). We quoted through Prudential the next day, and asked him for a detailed invoice. We demanded that he refund the excessive charges..... Realizing that we were onto him, he offered a refund of $202.53 which we declined, and asked to get the full difference between Prudential's quote and what he charged... Next, he offered to refund $348.24 only. We are extremely unhappy with this issue and will seek just settlement.
