they advertise a free estimate, but tell you when you call , that there is a 50$ charge to even get them to come out to do the estimate! and they don’t disclose that there is a 250$ minimum for work being done ! Absolutely ridiculous! I am in the process of selling my home and need 1 GFCI outlet installed, which i mentioned over the phone ! the piece cost 20-50$ If it would’ve been disclosed that there was a 250$ minimum i never would have agreed !

We were having trouble where a group of our outlets and lights were not working. We thought it was a breaker issue but once Dane came out, he noticed 1 outlet that was actually working had faulty wiring causing the other outlets to stop as well. He found this very quick and replaced the wiring and outlet in less than an hour. I would definitely use him again as he did the job and didn’t try to up-sell us or tell us there was a larger issue like I feel most big box named companies would do.

Very pleased with Thompson Electric! Dane was on time, very courteous, extremely knowledgeable, great workmanship, and price was surprisingly affordable. Had them replace all my receptacles, light switches, ceiling fans, exterior lights, and a new circuit for my washer and dryer. All needed upgrades were done in a timely manner. Highly recommend Thompson Electric!!!

Bart came over today and spent about 2 1/2 hours checking out my system which was installed by Solar is Freedom. He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught me so much. He was able to update the computers in the system so that all my optimizers were working and functioning at full capacity.We doubled our production output in the time he was here. He just has fantastic expertise. We will definitely be working with solar tech and Bart in the future. I could not be more impressed.

Bart has been our saving grace! We have a solar system that was “abandoned” when the company who sold it to us went out of business. We contacted several other companies and no one would work on a system they didn’t install.

Just had the best handyman experience! Our furnace stopped working a few days ago and a friend recommended a handy man to come take a look. He was super nice, got it fixed in like 20 minutes, for a low price. I'm pretty sure if we had called a regular HVAC company it would have been 3 or 4 times the cost.

Highly recommend Bart if you need help with something around the house and you're in the Louisville area. He says he's up for anything. Wiring, plumbing, whatever.

We’ve worked with Bart Marshall for the past six months on a major renovation after our home flooded, and he has been nothing short of amazing. Bart is incredibly dependable, detail-oriented, and brings smart, thoughtful solutions to every part of the job. He handled tile, drywall, painting, electrical, lighting, faucet installation, shower systems, and even reinstalled our freestanding tub. He also mounted our TVs, hung all our artwork, and tiled the back of our basement bar.

One of the most impressive parts of the project was how he worked side-by-side with our cabinet company—prepping all the wiring, moving outlets, relocating the gas line, and installing our dishwasher and 48” range. His prep work made the cabinet installation smooth and seamless.

We were required to use a mitigation contractor through insurance, but Bart ended up catching and fixing several mistakes they made—like identifying that a moisture barrier was missing under our flooring. If we had our choice, we would’ve had Bart handle the entire project from the start.

He’s skilled, professional, easy to communicate with, and just a genuinely great person to work with. We trust him completely and will continue to use him for future projects. Highly recommend!

BEDROOM MAKE-OVER! We are so incredibly happy and beyond impressed with the job Bart Marshall did on our complete bedroom and en suite make-over. He took our old, outdated original 1979 style bedroom and transformed it into a modern, luxurious, get-away-room! From electrical applications, lighting installation, tile work (piece by minute piece!), flooring installation to creative door and window trim / baseboard updates, Bart is a highly skilled professional in all areas of home renovations. The luxury shower with stunning tile work, vessel bowl sink with waterfall faucet, marble flooring is jaw dropping! He is far more than a handyman! His ability to listen to my concerns and design aesthetics and then execute the ideas to near PERFECTION is rare. We were so happy with the job and his work that we immediately booked him for two other jobs in our home before someone else filled his schedule and took him away!

TILED STAIR RISERS - Bart went above and beyond with his tiling expertise to tile the risers of our newly refinished stairs. It was NOT an easy task to attach and grout the very thin tile I had chosen. He then had to improvise and come up with the finishing touch solutions to problems that were left by the flooring company installation workers. But, the end result is stunning as the light from the front door shines up the stairs and bounces off the tiles. Again, Bart's attention to detail and care and concern to make the project end result perfect, was exactly what I was hoping for! Every visitor to our home comments on the "Wow Factor" of our stairs and displayed by his work as they come in our front door. He's a magician with tiles!

WASHER/DRYER INSTALL - Bart solved the problem of how to fit the new ventless Samsung washer/dryer combo into an upstairs bedroom closet space. Utilizing the existing closet space, he created a new, smaller closet by building out the existing one and leaving an EXACT size opening in the remaining space for the washer/dryer combo. Again, he was master plumber, electrician, carpenter, drywaller....all in all, a magician!! We now have an update to our home that makes laundry so much easier and has increased the value of our home!

DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK BART FOR YOUR RENOVATION! He is far more reliable, fair, skilled and just plain valuable, than any other contractor I have EVER worked with. Whatever quote he gives you, pay him at least 20% MORE because he's worth it. You'll be more than happy with his work and the experience of working with him!
