Thought my heat pump's heat straps weren't working so gave them a call. They came out, and in about 15 minutes they showed me a fuse box that had broken. A quick run to pick up the part and install it, I now have a working heat pump 💪. Thanks!

Been trying to get someone to come look at our furnace for 2 weeks. They keep saying they'll be out next Monday.

Friendly and professional service. Very affordable. Best heat and air in Madisonville.

No show for 2 days. I called and they never confirmed my number, and they claim that is why I have to cancel a trip and wait on day 3 with no air. Call someone that will actually show and fix their scheduling mistakes

Hopkins county heating and air has always been fair and do great work. They are the only ones I call. My heat was out and it was 20 degrees outside. They were here in under 30 minutes.

I highly recommend Hopkins County Heating and Air. We called yesterday 6-4-20 around 2:00pm because our air went out in the upstairs unit. They told us they could have someone out the next day. Jason Medford came out that afternoon and had us up and going in an hour even after having to run to town for 2 parts that he didn’t have in stock in his truck!! Jason was very nice and professional and explained everything that took place that caused the problem. Thanks again HCHA..

We bought a BRAND NEW air conditioner from Hopkins County Heating and Air. And we’ve had nothing but trouble out of it. It’s seems like every year something goes out on it or it needs freon or something. Last year the compressor went out. It was covered by warranty BUT we had to pay $400 labor to replace it.
This year at the beginning of summer it needed freon AGAIN! Then two months later the compressor went out AGAIN! The first repair guy said, “It’s the compressor.” But that wasn’t good enough for them. SO they sent out another repair guy to “double check and make sure it’s the compressor because they don’t want to have to replace the compressor if that’s not what’s wrong.” WOW… really?!!! So they sent a repair guy out to our home that THEY CLEARLY DIDN’T TRUST???!!! The second repair guy confirmed the first guy’s assessment. It was the compressor AGAIN. It only lasted ONE YEAR???!!! And of course the compressor is covered by warranty BUT the labor costs are not covered AGAIN! They told us it would take 3-5 days to get the compressor in. After nine days we called to find out what the hold up was because of course they hadn’t bothered to call and let us know anything. She said she didn’t know. But called back 2 hours later and said she had a tracking number so it’s been shipped. So on Friday she has a tracking number. So I called on Monday to find out when it would be in. She said she has no idea but it should be between Wednesday and Friday of this week. I again asked her to please call us and let us know as soon as it comes in. She said she would. IF it comes in this week when she says it will, we will have waited for over TWO WEEKS since we first called them and had them come out to check the air conditioner. I have NEVER dealt with any business that has handled a situation like this so horribly! We figured they would drag their feet fixing it so we went out immediately and bought a huge window unit air conditioner to keep our house cool. And THANK GOD WE DID! Because it’s looking like it’s going to end up taking them from 17 to 21 days to fix our air conditioner AGAIN! I regret ever buying from them and will certainly never buy from them ever AGAIN!
UPDATE: Two hours after posting this the lady from HCH&A called and said our compressor was in and that she would send someone out to fix our air conditioner. This is the same woman who just told me it would be the end of the week before it would be in. She was the nicest she had been over the past 3 weeks. I thanked her and we hung up. Immediately she called back and the owner wanted to speak to me. He was so nice and promised they would fix the unit and check everything. All I could think is "WHY has no one up to this point contacted us or kept us informed?" He couldn't have been nicer. The repair guys were awesome and so very nice too. It took them two days but it seems to be fixed. If they had been this nice from the beginning and would have kept us updated as to why there were so many delays I would have given them a much better rating. -
Definitely do not recommend..
They do not give you emergency numbers when you buy a brand new unit which is only 2 months old and froze completely up on a Sunday. Finally after calling all day and leaving messages reached the owner and was told he didn’t have his phone with him and they get off on weekends just like everyone else.
Thought buying from a family owned business they would definitely be right there to take care of their customers..
But was I surprised. Just wished I had shopped around more before making such a large purchase. -
We have been doing business with Hopkins Co. Since 1979. They have always treated us fairly. The other day our heat/ac unit quit (16 years old), the guys came out and informed us that we really needed a new unit. Made the deal on Monday afternoon, unit arrived on Tuesday morning, and was installed on Thursday. Very nice job, totally professional. We will keep doing business with Johnny and the crew for as long as they are in business.
