I’ve been a customer of Lamphears for years and I’ve always been very pleased with their work. The crews are easy to work with and Dominic does great design work. This year they installed a Mediterranean style garden around our pool and it’s growing in beautifully. The few times I’ve had issues they’ve been very responsive.

We had used Lamphears for years along with others in our neighborhood for pest and weed control and misc yard work. Unfortunately we noticed such a decline in service over the past few years but felt loyalty with this company because of our length of time being customers. We had a good working relationship with Shane & never had any issues over the years but when he left there was a shift in quality of work, we still had a few things to get done so we continued with Lamphears & hoped it would be fine The jobs we needed addressed had to be redone multiple times with still no satisfaction. The last job which is pictured below was redone more than 2x and as you can see still is horrible. We believe they just put straw down and never any seed, there is way too much dirt for “birds” to have eaten the seed which is what they told me happened. Now realize this is after addressing this twice last year with dirt, seed & straw and the pictures shown just a week ago. They had to redo a swale between our house & neighbors and that took more than two times also and still no grass has grown there either. I had informed them last summer as how it was looking even after the 2nd seeding & again in the fall and again just a couple weeks ago,which now have been told they only honor 30 day warranty. Beyond over a thousand dollars we paid to them and we have dirt. The rudeness from the office to the managers is terrible & is even obvious in the replies to comments here on the review page. Sad to see such a good company from years ago be who they are today. Would love to have a refund so we can hire someone to do a job worthy of being paid for. If I could give a negative star I would have. Use this company if you want to pay a lot and have to have jobs done repeatedly with not being complete.

Not impressed at all with this company. New build in Barberton and I feel like we all got bare minimum. Our lawn is patchy and was poorly installed. We diligently watered and tried to get it looking good but only so much can be done when it’s poor work to begin with. Our trees they planted looked half dead from day 1. We paid thousands of dollars for a new lawn and landscaping and I feel like we were completely ripped off.

UPDATE!! On 7/26 I spoke with a project manager who told me that a bad batch of trees was planted and that ours were supposed to be replaced. I thanked him and awaited our new trees to be planted. It’s now SEPTEMBER 28th and no sign of Lamphears and our new trees. I called to get an update and the lady that answers the phones told me “unfortunately there’s nothing they can do”. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE along with terrible work. Beyond frustrated!!!!

I have been calling and no responses they are suppose to cut front and back of house and only cut the front and leave terrible service and to not return a phone call and voicemails unprofessional

We have had Dustin and D&D Maintenance mow our lawn and plow the snow from our driveway for several years now. Very Pleased with the work that they do. Would definitely recommend their service.

First let me say that a phone call may have avoided this situation.
D & D Maintenance and Landscaping does the landscaping at Emerald Towers in Parma Heights. On April 26th, 2019 my car was damaged by one if his crew who was using a weed wacker. Dustin came out to look at my car ONLY after finding out a police report was made and he spoke with my son. Dustin looked at my car and said that the clear coat on the car was cracked. My car is a 2017 Chevy Malibu. My son offered to move the car so he could get a better look at the front of the car. Dustin refused. Dustin was given pictures of the car along with a copy of the police report. I then had my car evaluated by Axlerod Collision. They gave an estimate for the damage. It is not the clear coat as Dustin had suggested. Copies of the assessment was given to Dustin the same day the car was looked at by the collision company. I have never heard back from Dustin and today is May 28th, 2019 despite 6 messages I had left for him to return my call. I am in the process of suing him for the damages. Pictures of the car, copies of the police report and the estimate for the damages has been submitted. Plus my son has a recording of the conversation he had with Dustin the day he came to look at my car.
The sad thing is all of this could probably have been avoided if Dustin had returned my calls and if he was a stand up guy and businessman.

I was totally impressed. I never thought my backyard would look this good. I took out a 28 foot pool that left a hole in its place that was 2-3 feet deep with a falling apart deck. They removed the deck and filled in the hole. Planted grass. I am totally happy everytime I step outside. The ground is so even and the grass is coming up. 😊thank you D&E landscaping.

Dustin and his crew were supposed to come either Thursday or Friday this week. I called him Thursday after never hearing from them to confirm and left a message asking what he thought about the next day due to weather. I have left 4 voicemails since. He missed my appointment and hasn’t even called. I will be expecting my deposit back immediately and will update of he does or doesn’t do the right thing. Simple phone call could have avoided this

Dustin is very professional and so is his crew. They did a fantastic job grading and seeding the yard. On time, polite, I definitely recommend them. Thanks again guys!
