Work crew that came out and cleaned out my raised flower beds around my house and replaced it with river rock. Very professional workers were amazing. worked nonstop to get the job done in the time frame quoted very happy. would recommend them to everyone. And the price was great

Spring of 2024, Five Star was contracted to revitalize a much neglected lawn by previous owners. Top soil was added, holes were filled and back fill was added along foundation of the home. The areas were seeded and topped with a net straw blanket that was described as “biodegradable”. The crew had to return to add more soil and seed in areas that didn’t grow.
The crew supervisor attempted to communicate with an all Hispanic immigrant crew but when she wasn’t around, communication with the crew was impossible. They were very hard working but if they couldn’t understand my expectations nor hers for that matter, then they just did their own thing.
Forward to this spring, half of the backyard has no grass growing, the so called “biodegradable” netting is coming up everywhere and Five Star is refusing to take any responsibility. The supervisor told me it was my fault because I declined to fertilize the area because of dogs. When I asked about being told the netting was “ biodegradable “, she quickly replied that the straw part is but not the netting. No offer was made to take up the Non - Biodegradable netting that is left all over the backyard.
I would not recommend this company because they do not back their services/product.
Update:
After a great deal of persistence and patience; Garrett agreed to send a crew to remove the netting this afternoon. The last two photos are what I’m left to deal with after the crew removed at least 3 heaping wheel barrows full of netting. Bottom line; the lawn is in worse condition than what they started with last spring. Grayson apologized on behalf of the company he works for.

Our association has hired out Trace’s for year round maintenance. First off, during the winter he had his guys use tremendous amounts of salt on the sidewalks when it was not needed and now the sidewalks are pitting and deterioriating. His employees hit curbs, turf damage all over and this was not remedied in the spring. No stakes were put out to identify where the grass starts or end. Now here we are in the spring with grass growing fast and our complex has not been touched in almost two weeks. We have weeds not being sprayed, extremely tall unsightly grass along a main road and when they do mow, no effort is used for trimming. Either an employee is back at the truck on their phone or smoking a cigarette or both. It starts at the top and this company I can not recommend due to how bad our place looks and we pay for it to be maintained.

From my initial phone call to getting the work scheduled and completed, everything was managed with excellence. Communication and professionalism as well as the quality of the work they did for us was absolutely the best. We had two small trees removed and all of our trees trimmed back. On our heavily treed lot, this was a big project for us. The work they did made such an improvement to our property.

Trace and his crew are amazing. They did a fall clean up/ weeding job for my Mother-in-law. I wish I had before and after photos as the transformation was unbelievable. I will continue to use Trace’s Landscaping for any upcoming landscaping needs for myself or my family. If you are in need of any lawn services- please give Trace a call.

We reached out on FaceBook for recommendations to take down 6 pines and grind the stumps. We got many, many replies and suggestions. However, Trace actually reached and messaged me personally to offer his company’s services. He was extremely responsive to all messages. The quote was very good, and he earned our business. His team was able to take down the trees within the week we’re professional and actually did more than we expected. We couldn’t be more pleased. We will definitely reach out to Trace for our future lawn and tree service needs.

Used Trace Thomas and his crew for some tree cleanup and debris. Excellent job would use and recommend them very professional. Trace, his guys were very professional and hard working. I have referred him to several people and heard nothing but good things from his services that he provided for them.

At first, I was impressed with the response time & the swiftness of a downed tree removal from my front yard last summer by this company. However, they never completed the lawn repairs as promised (oh, and for which I had paid for).

It’s a new year now & after leaving several messages for Trace, the company owner, he finally called me back weeks ago & he promised to get with me again in a few days to discuss my displeasure with their work.

Guess what ... he never contacted me again. After several more calls to him, leaving a request for a call back each time, weeks have now gone by & he still has not reached out to me. Now I must pay another company to repair what I paid Trace's Lawn Care to do last summer.

On another note … last summer, when I still had some faith in this company, I had them replace a tree for me. During the tree planting I told Trace that I did not believe that they were planting the tree deep enough into the ground. Trace said, “Don’t worry, the tree will settle & we will be back again next Spring to take care of it. Once again … nothing from Trace or anyone from his company & by the way … the tree never settled.

I would definitely NOT recommend Trace's Lawn Care for your outdoor needs.

We used Trace’s company to remove a tree that had fallen on our roof. He showed up the next morning exactly when he said he would! I was very impressed by his professionalism and his staff. They did a great job removing the debris and left our yard looking great. I really appreciate that he was able to get out to us when he did due to all the damage from this recent wind storm. I would highly recommend him and his company! Thanks again Trace!

Trace’s team did some much needed tree trimming. The crew was courteous and helpful, even agreeing to add on some additional items while they were there. Trace himself came to inspect the work to make sure it was done properly and to our satisfaction. And his pricing is incredible!
