Gonzales Electric Gates did a fine job repairing our severely damaged gate; after a long delay apparently caused by some miscommunication. Hurricane Ida had dropped a 75 foot tall red oak across the gate, so this was no easy job. I will hire them again and recommend them to all.

They performed work on an existing gate, gave us different options for our upgrade, very knowledgeable, professional, knew the technology, etc. They were prompt when they came to do the work, very responsive, efficient. They were quick to respond when we had a minor issue afterwards, they came back onsite and corrected it. I checked out others prices and reviews prior. I was happy to see I made the correct choice. Matt and his crew were punctual, cleaned up after themselves, knowledgeable and courteous. It took two days because of rain. He was happy to program remotes, demonstrate the new operations and answer other technical questions. Other recommendations about future uses were offered as well.

Rod and his guys did an outstanding job on my opener. I have a 16ft wide 7 1/2ft tall single gate.Rod guided me as far as what I needed. Opener 3 remotes a keypad and fireman’s box and 7 year warranty. All rigged out cheaper then anyone around and drove all the way to Port Allen. I would call on a Sunday morning to leave a message for them on Monday asking questions about research on the unit and I would get a call back within mins on there day off. I am the type that researches endlessly and then ends up putting off a decision because there are too many options to choose from. Well, I was tired of seeing my current gate not opening. So was my wife. I went to their website one night and requested a quote and had it the next morning at like 6 am. I had a few follow up questions that I emailed and Rod called me that same morning. After we hung up, I had a couple more questions that I forgot to ask. I called Rod and he got back to me ASAP. Once I accepted the quote, I literally had a new gate opener the next day. Rod’s guys showed up as promised and were very efficient in their work. The employees spoke highly of their company as well when I was talking to them. I had gotten three quotes for my job and the difference in Rod’s quote was the customer service (and price). Win win combination, right? Rod was incredibly knowledgeable and so was his crew. They answered any questions that I asked them. Rod never tried to up-sell anything. I never felt pressured. I can’t recommend this company enough. It was truly a pleasure doing business with these guys.

It was a pleasure to work with Rod at Gonzales Electric Gate from the initial phone call all the way through installation. I emailed a request for an estimate and Rod responded immediately. We setup a time to meet after we got off of work one evening so we wouldn’t need to take time off. Everything was discussed and explained thoroughly, from the material and operation to the design and automation. The installation was quick and precise; even the trench they had to dig to route the power was almost invisible. From start to finish Gonzales Electric Gates is an A Plus operation with professional and courteous employees and superb workmanship.

Came out 48 hours after I called- as scheduled. Called when they were on their way. The tech took his time, checked everything throughly and resolved the issue. Added a third remote for us and a key pad, as requested. Had to come back to install the keypad the next business day (as communicated), and wouldn’t take payment (even partial payment) until the job was completed and was satisfactory.

Price was communicated every step upon the way.

I’ve been calling other local companies for two years and no one would ever show up! So glad they came out as promised and resolved our gate issues!

Gonzales Electric Gates were professional & very customer friendly from the beginning of contacting them. Amber, the secretary, was professional & informative. All the technicians & workers were professional, hard working & very polite, working hard in inclimate & cold weather. We had a very small glitch in the programming code frequency that interfered with neighbors gate also with Gonzales Electric Gates. The owner & technician followed through & corrected the issue promptly.

Took the time once the job was complete to go over everything to be sure they didn’t miss anything.
