I was "blown away" by how professional and attentive to detail this company was for my home solar installation. I was so impressed I had them double the size and install it at my office! Marc Mouton was the rep I went with and he was outstanding!

I just want everyone to be aware so that you do not end up as frustrated as I am: The technicians at Solar Alternatives were top-notch, and highly professional, and the salesperson has been really helpful, including after signing the deal. However, the timeline has been very long-- almost 3 months and still no power, although I have paid 90% of the cost and the panels are installed. (We are in the middle of getting permits and permission from Entergy to turn on the system.) I have also at times gotten casual reassurances on timelines, such as that a task will be done that week, but then, that timeline moves to "when we can do it", which stretches out for weeks more. They are not a scam or dismissing customers, but I think they are busy and prioritize larger corporate/government contracts over individual customers. Therefore, it is very important to be on top of the process and make sure steps are being taken and you are not being forgotten. You cannot just make a payment and assume the work will be done; you will need to stay on top of it. I have friends who recommended them to me, and they had similar issues, but said that the company came through in the end. I will update when the solar-generated electricity is flowing.

These people are fantastic! Highly recommend them! From the engineering team to customer service and the teams that did the electrical work and installed the panels. All of them were great!

I decided to get solar panels after Hurricane Ida. Before the hurricane my entergy bill average $200 a month. After the hurricane my bill was $400 to $500 a month for about 4 months. Once my solar panels were installed, up and running then my bill average was about $100 a month. Last summer was the hottest summer we ever experienced with 115 temperatures. My entergy bill averaged maybe $200 to $250 while other entergy bills were $400 and $500. I Love my solar panels from Solar Alternatives!!!

We recently had Solar Alternatives install solar panels on our house, a raised double. We had one side of the house done in 2024 by another company. Less than a year later, they were out of business.

Installation was quick and seamless, but following through with Entergy was not! After two months of waiting for Entergy to approve our installation and get us connected, we found out that a required City Permit had not been issued. When I wrote both to the city and to Solar Alternatives, lo and behold the city came out and issued the permit on that very day. Now we're still paying Entergy $250 electricity charges every month while we wait -- well into our 3rd month after installation -- to get connected. Solar Alternatives dropped the ball here :-(

I have been very pleased with Solar Alternatives in Nola. They are responsive and provide quality service. For example, they recently resolved a constant noise issue that was apparently caused by a brief outage and blown breaker on a SATURDAY afternoon. It would have been miserable to wait until Monday —-for my neighbors and me.
