We brought our GE portable dishwasher to Byrd Appliance to be fixed because it wasn't draining and the top rack wasn't get as clean as it should. There was some stuff clogging it up and a part was broken. They cleaned it out and replace the broken piece (which was plastic) with a more durable metal part. Kept us in the loop the whole time. It's running great now, we would recommend them anytime.

Called them out for a second time after having an electrician come over and upgrade my fuses. Repair guy came out and didn't bother to check the oven. Check the fuse box and said nothing changed. When asked hin him what did he mean. He said the fuses never got changed . When I tried to ask more questions to get an understanding he rudely over talked me. He said I told you before I came that if it wasn't upgraded you would be charged again. I felt lost because I wouldn't of had anybody come back out if I didn't get the fuse upgraded. That's crazy for me to want to get charged again. I looked at both detailed papers the first said a fuse was missing....that's what I gave the electrician. The new one said 240vac....he never said the voltage needed. I was originally one missing and was upgraded to 120. He only said one was missing but never said it needed to be 240 vac. Called a new electrician because I didn't trust neither, only to find out that the correct fuses were there. I do plan on reporting to BBB. I hope this is not a common problem.

They charged me $95.00 to come out and hold a button in for 5 seconds. It's only a month later and my oven is doing the EXACT same thing!! I called to get them back out due to the fact that my oven is locked with food in it that is burning and causing my smoke detectors to go off, and I was told there is nobody available!! I will NEVER use this company again and highly recommend nobody else does either. Zero customer service. All they care about is money

I appreciate the fact that Tim took some time out of his Saturday to come fix my fridge. He arrived in half an hour after I called and actually got here earlier than he said( called to let me know he was coming sooner)Which is always a plus since he doesn't waste your time waiting like other repair people do.

I do not recommend this service department as their main goal in my opinion is simply to collect assessment fees. Once onsite, the technician gave me the impression that they had no actual knowledge on how to proceed in the actual repair/evaluation of my appliances, Instead, the technician charged me nearly $200 to recommend that I either repair the appliances myself or replace them with Whirlpool brand appliances. My appliances are Fridgidaire brand Professional Series appliances and are approximately 4yr old. The technician service was a waste of my time and money.

My pricey GE Side by Side Refrigerator started having cooling problems a few weeks after the 5 year warranty ended! That made me wonder about their products considering my sister having a GE Dryer that went out weeks after the warranty ended as well. Well, I did my research on the problem and getting various theories, decided to call Byrd Appliance Specialist. I called for a Saturday appointment only to reschedule for Monday. Tim Brannan was the technician. What I have to say about him...PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and ALL AROUND PLEASANT! Also, he showed up a little before our appointments. My refrigerator would have been fixed the same day but I chose to have a new fan installed so I waited for next day delivery and service. The problem was solved! Tim and Byrd Appliances Specialist are are 100%! Finally, I hope this review helps you to decide on who will do your repairs.

I called about issues with my dryer and they were able to complete a service call that same day! My dryer was given to me and apparently had more issues than I or the previous owner knew about. After Tim checked it out, we decided that it would be best if I invested in one of their refurbished dryers when compared to the cost of repairs versus the cost of purchasing a dryer from them due to multiple problems with my dryer. I went to their warehouse the same day and picked out my dryer. Tim and Alex had the new dryer in my apartment the same day!!! The dryer I purchased from them is working great! I am very confident in my decision to do business with them and would recommend them to anyone with appliance needs. Great business, very professional, and extremely educated in appliance repair!!!

Not only are they fast, and very reasonably priced, they've helped me diagnose and fix several smaller problems myself without costing me anything! Hunter repaired my Maytag washing machine water function after the sludge from the city water system came through. And more amazingly he diagnosed and fixed my agitator that has never worked since Jan 2020. It was a little pricey but well worth it!!! I was on the verge of purchasing a new machine.

Byrd appliance is the best, the tech Paul was very friendly and explained step by step what he was doing. He took his time to trouble shoot the problem to save me from replacing a $450. board. Fast and Efficient Repair! We are so grateful to have Byrd in our neighborhood. These folks saved us from having to buy a new dishwasher. Same day service. My wife and I were very happy. We will not hesitate to call them again, and will be recommending Byrd appliance to all our friends in Sheveport /Bossier.

UPDATE: over the past year we have used Byrd a couple other other times and on both instances they solved our problems quickly and cost effectively! Josh fixed a washing machine that wouldn’t drain, and Paul saved our dryer by replacing a failed heating element. Byrd has saved us huge $, time and hassle that it would have cost to replace these excellent large appliances.

Repairman John W. came today to fix my 81 year old mothers oven and stove. He came right when he said he would and called me to let me know he was on his way. he was VERY nice and efficient and when we need service again, we will call Byrd Appliance! John made us very happy today! Great employee!!

Wonderful service! My husband and I just moved into our first home yesterday and our dishwasher decided to flood our kitchen. In a frantic, we called Byrd appliances and within and hour they were over to fix the issue. Not only did they provide help with our dishwasher but the helped us with additional information on our appliances and checked the hook up on our new washer and dryer that we recieved today. Lovely people and the helped make our bad day much better! We will definitely have them on speed dial

Our refrigerator had been leaking water for several months. I found Byrd’s while searching on line, read their reviews and called them. I’m happy I did. Paul was sent to our home and diagnosed the problem as a clogged drain line. He had us defrost the refrigerator and he came back two days later and repaired it. Paul was very polite and professional. I will ask for him if needed again.

We chose Byrd Appliance Specialists because of their positive reviews. They deserve 5 STARS. Scheduled appointment and Matt came out found the problem very fast with our older double wall oven. Took the old control board off, had it repaired and replaced in a short while.

I purchased a Speed Queen Dryer and Washer new. I was never told of a delivery fee. Both units came in with dents on the exterior. I called and talk to the young lady but never the owner (Tim) and have yet to hear from him after two calls. 2300.00 for two dented machines. She told me they would wave the 100.00 delivery feed that I never was told about if I would keep the dented machines. If I wanted to have them replaced it would cost me 100.00. Still not a word from the owner. I picked a local business over Lowes hoping for better service. I was wrong. I will never do business with Byrd Appliance again and would warn anybody who would be thinking about it. Truck driver said the machines were damaged before they were loaded on his truck.

This company is fast, reliable and most important of all Honest!, I called 5 local companies today as we were in desperate need of having our commercial freezer repaired at a local Edible Arrangements store. Byrd was the only company that answered and they also agreed to come out same day. Upon arrival which was 2 minutes before the estimated time (rare in the repair business) the gentleman Tim was very polite and eager to help get our freezer fixed. About 10 minutes in I asked if there was any way he could let me know about how much the repair was going to cost, he let me know it should be under $500 (I was very relieved with this as I know commercial refrigeration can be very expensive. About 30 minutes later he let me know its fixed and running for under $100, He could have easily lied and over charged us but he was very honest and explained exactly what was wrong and what he fixed. The over all experience couldn't have been better.

Very fast, professional service. I had three appliances stop working at once! I made the call, and by the next business day, a service tech came out.! I'm so grateful my neighbor told me about them. Will definitely keep them on speed dial!

Tim is a great guy and I highly recommend his services. Tim installed our new Bosch dishwasher the other day. We could not be happier. He took the time to make sure the dishwasher was installed appropriately and adjusted it to fit with our cabinets. I was impressed with his expertise and I trust the work that he does.

Byrd Appliance is HIGHLY recommended by us as we went through 3 other appliance repair shops and none of them could diagnose the problem we were having on our refrigerator. It turned out to be a very simple fix but it just required the expertise to know how to solve the issue.
