Constraction reviews in Bangor, Maine

I have used J&R Contracting for a complete remodel of an 1800's duplex from out-of-state. Jared, Ryan and their team do amazing work. I highly recommend them for any construction needs. I will continue to work with J&R Contracting for future projects.

No call. No show.

Update... They called to confirm the appointment 2 days before the no call no show day. My wife used personal time at work to be here. I called and left a message to see if they needed to reschedule, but never returned my call. No matter what process they have, it was totally unprofessional. If they don't have time for a job just say so.

Jared was unable to come to my family’s brand new home because he was on a current project. Our house/home was built and move in ready in October of 2021. We bought it from another builder and have been referred to J&R Contracting Group. I reached out to Jared to assess the concerns and issues we are still experiencing and some new ones as well. However he has been absolutely amazing by responding promptly and giving me a referral to his trusted friend, who also has been extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Jared has gone above and beyond in my opinion to help point me in the right direction and course of action to take. I am so grateful to have been referred to him a week ago, I have learned so much. Thank you so very much again Jared for all your information, time and help. I highly recommend J&R Contracting Group out of Hermon Maine. 😊

If i could give them 100 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would! I have a 4 car grage, with a large loft above two 1/2 of it. I had a large leak in my loft after a bad storm. Not knowing many people here I stated to call roofers, as it was 3 weeks till Thanksgiving. 🙄 I ended up talking to Jared and was able to get a quote quicker than any company I've ever dealt with! Out of 5 quotes for the job, they came in just under 7k cheaper than any of them, No price Gouging just a fair company! ( that's hard to find nowadays)Jared answered all my questions even ,helped to get a few small things added I needed done on my other roof with no hassle! From time of quote, to roof done one week, in the start of winter and coming up on a holiday! 🤩 They crew they sent was respectful, fast and treated my house like they would theirs! Everything protected, and done with care, and everything around the house is totally clean! It's like you would never know they did a roof! I will definitely have them back to work on my home for other projects I need done, and would tell anyone I know looking for work done to call them first! Jared thank you for all your help, you deserve a raise! For putting up with me and all my questions and things I added on! Mrs, Tori Burrill.

Contractor was a young guy with no experience in building and had no idea what he was doing

J&R was the only outfit to write down exactly what we were looking for on the estimate on our roof.
Materials showed up the day after I signed the contract and the crew was here the day after that on a 5 degree February morning and built us a new roof in under 2 days. They did a great job with a mess of a roof, in pretty brutal weather.
The fact that J&R didn't bury my main concern under time and materials like all the other contractors did, after I asked them not to, is all the reason I need to call these guys in the future.
Thanks.

Great customer service and do excellent work without wasting your time. Highly recommend using this business!

I had a detached garage built. After my first call and first meeting with them I knew this was the contractor I wanted to use. They were right on top of things from the get go. They were always here when they said they would be, the crew was great, professional and have an extremely good work ethic. They took care of everything. They completed the garage in 2 weeks. I can’t say enough good things about J&R Contractors. I have and will recommend them for any project.

Rent equipment and get hottop of them great guys!

Cant read almost hit me twice going through my stop sign. Did over 60 mph all day in the site.

This company has hired a dangerous driver. He recently was tailgating a couple on route 7 in Corinna. Then he pulled along side and and wouldn’t pass them. Kept pace with them, keeping them blocked in!Finally, he pulled back behind them only to continue tailgating them! Only when he had enough he passed them and finally drove on. This man terrorized this couple! When the company was notified of this person’s actions they ignored it! These people were terrified and could have been killed by this possibly unstable person and the company IGNORED THEM. I personally would not feel safe using this company.

IDriver speeds everywhere. Winterport downtown Hampden speeds through school zones and puts pedestrians at risk. He is aggressive and violent. When I asked him to slow down he pulled over in the middle of downtown Winterport jumped out of his truck and ran at me swearing. I told him to hop back in his truck before he was arrested. Man is a danger and need to be off the road. It’s amazing how much they slow down when you have a video camera. Well all 25 videos are being forward to Maine DOT and the Registry.

They were very prompt and professional

Dedicated, reliable, and great rates! You won't be disappointed!

I’ve used this business twice and he has outperformed what was expected of him. Both times he arrived on time, completed both projects in a timely fashion and came in under my budget

I cannot say enough how happy I am we went with Dalon Construction. I felt like I had a friend who cared and not a business transaction. They went above and beyond for my family. We shopped around and this was the most fair price, while guaranteeing quality.

Won’t be shopping around in the future, and that feels good to know I’m going to be taken care of!

Thanks Dalon Construction! Outstanding Job!

AJ is a great guy. He has helped me with several repairs and projects since I bought my house this summer, including repairs after a couple bad storms in 2023 and recapping some eaves with aluminum because they were too wide for modern lumber purchases. While I honestly have not been going out of my way to preserve the appearance of my 1900 built home, this solution worked out well for doing so.

I'm working with him now to set up estimates for gutters on my home. We discussed what I needed and went over some of the complexity related to the roof layout. I look forward to working with him to complete that project and appreciate the fact that if I do have roof concerns in the future I know who to call. 👍

Armand came out very quickly to do a roof inspection and estimate for a concern we had at the house we bought. He was very informative showing me pictures of the items he found and explained repair costs. As it was a smaller job we were fit in between other jobs which was fine for us. On repair day they even fixed up our little shed roof. Super nice, professional. Would recommend highly. Thank you again!!!

Spoke to the owner of Maine Construction Solutions early Tuesday morning. Approximately 1/2 later he was at my house looking over my sewer line replacement. A little over an hour later I had their quote and accepted. That afternoon dig safe and owner was putting down lines for his crew. Wednesday morning at 8 am there arrived and started the job. Job was pretty much finished by 5pm on Wednesday just had to come back to rake and seed the next morning all for less than his quote. I cannot thank these guys enough for the great work and compassion to my family during a stressful time!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Professional and very timely for a full sewer system replacement needed at my home. 10/10 would recommend!!

Beautiful grounds.
