Beginning with our first meeting with Harvest Construction owner, Jeff Lewis, we were impressed with his professional, technical, and creative approach to the job. Since we were not initially sure how much renovation we would undertake, Jeff provided us with a proposal broken down into several options along with a detailed time schedule. Also, before and during construction, Jeff worked collaboratively with us and our architect to ensure the best possible end result with no surprises.
The foreman and crew are excellent and competent workers. While we have had other major renovations performed on our current and other homes in the past, we have never encountered a crew that was so conscientious, competent, and tidy (sweeping/cleaning work areas each day). Also important to us, the foreman kept us informed every day of work progress and design questions (we had wanted this involvement).
We are very happy with the final result and would definitely use Harvest Construction for any other jobs that we might have in the future. Already, we have referred several neighbors to them.

We used Distinctive Contracting Services to repair and renovate our basement after a sewage flood. They did an excellent and very professional job and we could not be happier with the results! I highly recommend them!

Paid $250 for a consultation with the expectation of having it applied to the work done. After 4 months they will not get back to me concerning actually performing the work. Such a shame, was a very informative consultation and generally felt confident in their expertise, but if they won't do the work they charged the quote for, I can't help but feel this is a scam. Learn the lesson I learned the hard way, never pay for a consultation.

Good skills, but not dependable. This company performed work on my house for the seller when I bought it. Workmanship was solid! Based on the quality of his work, I asked him to come over to get estimates. I showed him at least 6 projects that I wanted to get quotes to get done. No quote ever showed up! I followed up several times asking for quotes, and there was always some excuse. After a long wait I gave up and I ended up having to find other contractors, get their quotes, and pay them for work.

A few months down the road, I was having a leak at the location of his work. I asked him to come take a look. And asked. And asked. Always some reason he could not come over now, but said he would next week. Then the next week. Crickets. He never came over. So I had to ask another contractor to come look. They confirmed that the problem was not his work, which is good to know. But if he had come and looked, I would have paid him for the fix and other projects.

I was very prepared to spend a lot of money with this company. I don't understand why some contractors act this way. I would not recommend this company due to the unreliability and unprofessionalism.
