Landscaping reviews in Baltimore, Maryland

I’ve been more than satisfied with Rachel’s lawn care. I didn’t have any issues or cancellations & my grass has had a manicured look since she began. Thank you again

This is my 2nd lawn service company. The first one was good until it wasn’t. Although Lawn Starter had to change my pro two weeks in, it has been pretty seamless. I really appreciate Joey’s Grass Cutting LLC coming out on a Sunday to get me back on schedule. He introduced himself upon arrival and confirmed preferences. He did a great job!

My lawn care special Jake was the best! He was reliable and always let me know when he was coming over so I. Old keep my dog inside. He did a great job on my lawn. LawnStarter was very helpful in matching me up with a great specialist.

I found LawnStarter through a quick Google search for lawn services and was pleasantly surprised by how easy and straightforward the service was to use. My lawn pro, Janie, arrived right on time for the scheduled appointment. He was polite, respectful of my property, and immediately got to work after surveying the area. He did a fantastic job taming the jungle that had taken over my backyard, and then made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. My only regret is that I didn’t get a chance to thank him before he left! Overall, excellent service—I’ll definitely continue using LawnStarter.

Very happy with the service provided! My lawn was quite a mess after this summer, but it was no trouble at all for this professional. He was quick, efficient, and took care to take my yard from jungle to jewel. Will definitely be using them again to maintain a healthy lawn.

I absolutely LOVE this service. I HATE mowing my lawn, taking care of leaves, and genuinely doing yard work. This app is cheap and affordable, and BEYOND awesome. It's saved me hundreds of hours of yard work. My guy Dimas is THE BEST THERE IS. I'm still working through the services available... And I have yet to be disappointed! Highly recommended 2000/5 stars if possible

Update: 12/3/25 Lawnstarter customer service reached out to see how they could rectify the experience. Their customer service responds very quickly and seek to satisfy their customers. Because of this, I am willing to give Lawnstarter another try to see if my previous experience was an abnormality. My other family members have used their services and they had no issues so I'm hoping for a better experience.
11/26/25: I thought I'd give LawnStarter a try for meeting and leaf clearing. They came on Sun Nov. 16 which really confused me because the LawnStarter app said they worked be arriving that following Mon. The crew arrived and mowed the lawn and cleared the leaves. I paid for them to bag it up and then to haul it away. The crew said that they'd be back that following Tuesday because that's when they can get to the compost site. Well, they never came and I keep getting reschedule notifications about when they would come to complete the service by hauling the leaf bags away. -
Absolutely HORRIBLE service!!!
I hired Lawn Starter to mow my lawn, collect grass clippings and trim weeds from my flower beds.
They subcontract out their work to cut-rate, third party service providers. This has been a complete and utter nightmare!
Their service provider mowed my lawn and then dumped the clipped grass in my flower beds and around my yard. They also tried weed whacking my flower bed instead of weeding my beds, blew grass in my neighbors yard and broke a window well cover! To make matters even worse, their provider submitted a false claim of extra long grass which triggered an extra $29 charge to my account!
They company wanted to send another service provider out to my home at my cost to correct the number of issues that their provider caused in the first place!
Do not select this company! Each time that you have to call them you will spend between 5 navigating through their throne tree and another 5 to 15 minutes waiting to speak to someone. Once you get someone on the phone, you're to deal with hearing roosters in the background as well as some of the most frustrating and unscrupulous customer service that you've ever experienced!
The company never took responsibility for their service provider breaking my window well cover, not weeding my flower beds, dumping clipped grass in my flower beds as well as my yard and neighbors yard!
Every proposed resolution involved a new way to charge me!
If I could leave ZERO stars I would have!
STEER VERY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!! -
I would not recommend working with this landscaper. They are responsible for my townhome community's landscaping and have not completed agreed upon work orders for over 3 months, leaving a bare dirt lawn and dying bushes in front of my house. Choose literally anyone else.

I recommend you this company they are very professional in landscaping they do very good job and professional call me bob or me bobby they are very nice people what ever you need they r there

You will not find a more reliable and thorough landscaping company. They are also incredibly well priced, came on time, checked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and went above and beyond to ensure the edges, clean out, etc were just right. Also, this is a family owned, local business which is exactly what we’d like to be supporting. you won’t be disappointed!

Maxalea was incredibly accommodating when I requested a quick turnaround quote. While I have yet to decide who I'll move forward with, their flexibility and professionalism was top notch.

They did a great job planting some extremely large yew bushes. After the initial installation we noticed they were too close to the foundation and asked them to return to move them. They did so without any hesitation. Thank You Maxalea!

Our small homeowners association has worked with Maxalea for almost 10 years. We've been incredibly happy with their service and level of professionalism that entire time.

We have worked with Maxalea for quite a few years now. They have always had great communication and very easy to work with! Would highly recommend working with their Team!!

Tony and his crew came to my home for their first maintenance visit of the year. They did a beautiful job, and the work was meticulous. They couldn't have been nicer. I especially liked they took care not to disturb a nest of doves that have taken up residence in the climbing hydrangea. I am more than pleased! After all these years my garden still takes my breath away.

I don't usually write reviews, but I want to give a big shout out to Dan and the team at Maxalea. They thoughtfully redesigned our front lawn and continue to keep it looking sharp. Trust the professionals!
-
Vance and his crew recently installed large landscape stones, a path and fence for us. They paid attention to every detail and the result looks great! I highly recommend working with Vance and Maxalea for landscaping needs.

Maxalea has been my go to landscaper all my adult life. Stellar service, intuitive design and great trees, shrubs and plants as well as hardscaping.
-
A big thank you to Steve, Chad and Fernando for a great job! We think our paver driveway looks great. We are very appreciative that you worked with us to make sure all the details were addressed regarding drainage, heated driveway and lighting along the driveway. It exceeded our expectations once complete. It has been a pleasure to work a real team of professionals.

My husband and I contacted Maxalea to grind out invasive tree roots, replace sidewalks and re-sod.
Work was done but we did not expect the damage that Maxalea's sales rep, Vance Cole and landscapers did to existing shrubbery and trees. The mature Japanese Hollies, Azaleas and Crepe Myrtles have been pruned so severely that front entrance landscaping looks truly awful. Maxalea even removed mulch from the beds without replacement.
I asked Management ( Steve ) to address the damage to existing shrubbery and trees without satisfaction.
I would not have Maxalea do any additional landscaping work. Who would ever use a service where you even have to request clean up of concrete from side beds and sidewalks and the removal of wood work material from Graco Concrete.
The $8,000 cost should have warranted a more professional job without damage to mature shrubbery and trees.
