The furnace in my home stopped producing heat during a winter weekend. The furnace would not produce any heat even after 4 technicians and 4 different replacement parts. This took 10 days. The technician I spoke to last agreed that I needed to replace my furnace since it was so old. I took his advice and did just that. I received a certified mail about 2 weeks ago saying that I needed to pay for the first part ordered, plus labor to diagnose it and install it. This is despite the fact the diagnosis appeared to be incorrect. Also, the part I ordered was still sitting in the box by my new furnace. The reviews I leave here seem to be getting responses, even though I have left several messages on different phone number. It'll be interesting to see whether I receive a response or if the company follows through on their threat to bring me to small claim court. All the technicians I dealt with were professional and friendly, even though it didn't appear that they could fix the problem.

*Update* Speaking with Lakin this morning, it appears there was some sort of internal problem that resulted from the fact that my voicemails were not received by them and the collection notice was sent in error. Lakin, and the technicians with whom I dealt, have shown me great professionalism and honesty.
