Landscaping reviews in Brandywine, Maryland

Great selection and service. Mulches are a good deal. I'll be checking back for natives to replace my lawn.

Ed'sPlant World had everything I needed.Their customer service is excellent. And their prices are good for me because I am now starting up my landscaping business.
-
No restrooms for customers. Little confused and how to pick plants and then pay for them. An employee there seem to think I knew what to do and I did not. Plants look healthy and I can't wait to put them in the ground.
-
friendly knowledgable staff. very helpful loading as well.a wide selection of plants and bedding materials

This place is amazing. The help is very friendly and very helpful. I can't believe how many plants they have.
-
The staff person was informative and helpful in making the decision on the type of plant I was seeking.
Once the plants were chosen they were
loaded appropriately in the car
It was a pleasant experience -
I love to support small businesses but it’s hard to do so when It took multiple days for them to respond about my inquiry. And they did not want to budge on a delivery price when I live 1 minute away.

Bought trees and plants again and been very happy. Great customer service and quality plants and trees .

It was a good experience until I prepared to depart. While approaching my vehicle I was confronted by some guy who claimed I had harassed some lady in the greenhouse. I explained to him that this had to be mistaken identity, I spoke with no one while going about my shopping and didn't appreciate being confronted with such accusations. I was with another indivdual that was just a s dumbfounded as I was about this confrontation. Not sure if this is common practice for this place but I will not be giving them any more of my business or money. Hopefully, this was an isolated event.

Diverse plant life, well cared for. A lot to choose from, beautiful to talk a walk on. Also sell garden accessories like chairs and small statues. Nice way to lose an hour and some money.

Ed's Plant World has a lot of product and services but this patio install is the best deal in Southern Maryland for its quality. Mr. Jon Marson was absolutely professional and will even do extra steps for you to enjoy your backyard activities and even frontyard. They finished the work one week a head of schedule because we requested and want to make sure that this will be finished for my wife's birthday celebration. Mr. Marson even help frontyard structure like the fountain. He help me replace the pump and it even looks better than before. That extra help with a smile it hard to come by this days. Shout-out to his co-workers for amazing job. Thank you very much.

They have excellent sod prices. Great customer service. Keep up the good work. This is the best place in the state for all plants.

I have been going to Ed's plant World for over 20 years for my Christmas 🎄. I am thank to these great people that have some of the most spectacular trees. See you next year!
The Wheeler's -
Very very disappointing. After spending thousands of dollars for landscaping, and being a loyal customer for several years, I contacted Ed's Plant World in February to request replacement of 6 plants under their 1-year warranty. Though during the COVID pandemic, they never told me that they could not do it, but instead promised on 4 occasions either a specific date or that they would have a crew come out within 2 weeks. Never happened. Now, 5 months later after filing a BBB complaint, they are trying to resolve the complaint by "stating" that they will send a team to replace the plants. I do not want to wait another 5 months, or for forever, only to find that they still have not honored their warranty.

Ed's Plant World Is An Amazing Nursery. I Was Amazed At The Variety In Plants and Shrubbery, That They Had. Everyone Was Super Friendly and Very Knowledgeable About The Items. I Was Never Left Alone, I Showed The Worker A Picture of What I'd Envisioned For My Front Yard. She Guided Me Every Step Of The Way. One Of The Best Nursuries Around.

So here we go with another example of exemplar customer service skills. Immediately, I say again, immediately upon walking up to the nursery doors I was pleasantly surprised when an employee met me before I could even reach out and twist the doorknob. I was so startled that I asked if he worked here....duh girl, he's only wearing an apron and name tag. Lol. He replied yes and asked how may he be of service....
My husband and I just had a home built and of course tall fescue sod was laid nicely before we moved in. However I have bad, very bad OCD. I noticed after about 6 months or so that some of my grass was becoming a little bald (not from lack of diligence and proper care). My husband and I had also just removed two trees from the front yard and one from the back yard (we do not want trees growing anywhere on our property) After approval from the HOA first, of course (insert sarcastic emoji). We wanted to buy sod to help cover the area where the stumps were and get the grass growing back promptly.
Enter Ed's Plant World. After checking around with other local farms and nurseries I chose Ed's because they were conveniently located AND opened on Sundays. Another key factor was even though you should always call to see if they have what you need in stock, this nursery does not require you to call and "hold/reserve sod". It's simply first come, first serve.
Along with the stellar customer service another employee loaded all my sod in my prepared trunk---towels and plastic. Again, OCD. They also have plenty of extra plastic for your convenience.
The tall fescue sod was (as of August 2017) $3.99 per strip (5"x20"). I also grabbed a bag of organic top soil that the employees recommended as well.
Great people, awesome location (one mile from MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, in Clinton, MD) and quality products!
I (we) will definitely return and recommend! -
Apparently when Montgomery County hired Ed's Plant World, Inc. to clean up the boulevard between Norbeck Road and the service road between Carrolton and Muncaster Mill, they forgot to mention that gas powered leaf blowers are outlawed.

Ed’s sold our landscaper tall fescue sod that started failing immediately after installation, two days after purchase, despite proper watering. When the landscaper requested assistance in replacing the unhealthy sod, Ed’s refused to provide any, saying that sod is inherently perishable and not subject to warranty. Think about that. First of all, sod is supposed to last for years if it is properly installed and cared for. And even if it were considered a perishable item, can you imagine a grocery store taking no responsibility for selling spoiled milk?

This place has just about everything you need for your garden. The staff is just awesome. If you need any information they have the answers. The plants I have gotten from ed's are quality and a good price. They out last all other plants I have gotten elsewhere.

This guy's open at 8 am ... When at other places they are open at 7.....also on Sundays they don't have a operator for the skid steer ...we can't get bulk mulch ,gravel ..can't understand why

Great selection. Soil and mulch is a little higher in price than the big box stores but the plants are in much better shape.
