Tree reviews in Burtonsville, Maryland

Landscaping with rock and mulch

I had a great experience with this company. They are excellent at what they do.

Very affordable, professional job, and responsive. They were great.

Fair price, work done well and in a timely manner. Would definitely use them again.

I've used this company a number of times. They have reasonable prices and do great work.

I must have tagged this company in 100+ posts after using them. For YEARS we looked for a tree company that was reasonable and qualified. FINALLY, we found one! These guys not only took one, two... but three of our trees down. Fast as lightning, safe and efficient. Hands down I will NEVERRRR GO ANYWHERE ELSE! 100 STARS REVIEW!

They did a great job removing the trees from my property. They were very professional and clean. I would reccomend this company to anyone in need of tree service.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs one or more trees cut down. The job was achieved swiftly and efficiently with great care to seeing the rest of our property was protected. The cost was the most reasonable of all offers we received.

The guys came bright and early to take down my 60' dead ash tree and grind the stump. They did a GREAT job for a very reasonable price. Scheduling was easy. Highly recommend working with them!!

I was always dreading having to hire a company to do work on the trees on my property. I found Hometown Tree Experts and was instantly relieved. Tremendous experience with true experts that provided advice on how to handle the many different situations I had going on with my trees. In fact, I enjoyed the experience so much I went back very quickly to move to phase two of the tree maintenance that I had put off for so long. Make the decision easy for yourself - hire Hometown Tree Experts immediately!!

HTE workers were very professional and easily tackled very complicated tree removals (I've used them twice). They are honest and given their professionalism and integrity, they are the best value for tree service in southern Maryland!

Hometown Tree Experts provided a first class service from start to finish. They removed several large trees on our properties for a great price and did an excellent job. All tree limbs, trunks, branches (etc) were dropped with precision (very talented crew). We would hire them again and we plan to provide referrals to our neighbors.

I have used Hometown Tree Experts twice, for tree trimming as well as the removal of three large trees over the past 10 years (that sadly were at the end of their lifespans). Each time, they have been professional and efficient, giving me good advice on how to proceed and then, when the time came, bringing an incredible crew very skilled at removing these large trees, even one very close to my home. And they cleaned up afterward. Really couldn't recommend them more highly!

Hometown Tree Experts did a job for us a few years back and did a great job. We contact them this year for a pretty big job that involved a large, hard to get to tree, along with some other trees we wanted removed. The communication was great- Brandi, the office manager kept us informed every step of the way. The date arrived for our service- the crew was on time (early, actually) both days the work was being performed. Osi, who had to climb the giant tree being removed, was amazing. He cut giant limbs that came down with such precision, and avoided taking out the deck on one side, and the pavilion on the other! It was SO impressive. The crew on the ground: equally impressive. Fast, well oiled team that helped keep the limbs from damaging our property, did a great job cleaning up all the debris, and were all pleasant to speak with. Thank you so much for all your hard work! It’s not often you get what you paid for now a days.

Excellent service, friendly responsive staff. This experience from start to finish, from first contact, scheduling appointment for the estimate to job completion, has been a pleasure and so smooth. I appreciate the great service. Thanks to Brandi, Carlos and their entire team. Keep up the great work.

Hometown was professional from the start. Brandi, a wonderfully congenial lady, actually answered the phone (a rarity these days), was quick to respond to emails, and provided the invoice and deposit information quickly and clearly.
The day of the job, Hometown's full crew showed up, confirmed with me what the work order detailed. Within a few minutes they'd already taken down our 70 foot white pine in the front and were busy sawing it up and putting the branches in the shredder. After they ground up the stump, you can't even tell there used to be a tree in that spot. They did a great job pruning and trimming the other trees, carefully lowering the limbs with ropes, and cleaned up all the branches and other debris. The guys departed as rapidly as they arrived. I would definitely recommend them! Thank you Hometown!

We had Hometown Tree Experts remove two large oak trees in our backyard and a large spruce tree from our front yard. We had multiple quotes, and they were the least expensive (by thousands of dollars for most of the other quotes we had). Not only that, their office staff were the most friendly of any tree company I've worked with. Two of the companies that gave us quotes told us they would need to bring a crane in, and Hometown did it without a crane and with incredible speed (they did the entire job in under 6 hours). Not only that, they managed to take down the massive oak trees while not damaging the trampoline, play structure, and garden, all of which were very close by. They also were just overall very friendly, and left the yard cleaner than it was when they got there. I hope I don't need to have any more trees removed, but if I do, I will definitely use this company again.

Competitive price. An efficient crew who clearly knew what they were doing. Was able to make a scraggly looking tree presentable again.

Hometown Tree Experts are very professional. The work is superb. Each of the crew members are respectful and courteous. They're knowledgeable about their skill. They ensure the safety of your home and your neighbors, as well as your vehicles. They clean up after their done paying attention to the details. I saw one of the worker's use the blower to blow off my neighbors cars. That's the small details I appreciated. I highly recommend them!

When I purchased my home, the shade and greenery offered by the several trees in the backyard were a major appeal. I still very much enjoy the trees, but the uptick in major winds became a concern for some of the older ones and the large pine closest to the house.

I read through reviews of two other local tree removal services in addition to Hometown Tree Experts and scheduled to receive quotes from all three. Hometown came and spent 35 minutes on my property assessing the trees and making recommendations, but I did not feel pressured or upsold on any services I wasn’t interested in. It was a professional and matter-of-fact interaction. I received an itemized estimate detailing how much each of the recommendations would cost and the prices were transparent. This is in contrast to another removal service that quoted me a much high cost, but didn’t provide details into just what it entailed, other than one of the trees would require a crane.

For that same tree, Hometown did not require a crane and removed it for a fraction of the cost. The team carefully moved my belongings and once they were finished, had left a nice and tidy wood pile for me.

I highly recommend anyone considering tree removal to get an estimate from Hometown before making a decision. I found it to be well worth the due diligence and they will be my go-to company should I need any other tree-related services for the remaining trees in the future.

Thank you for being honest, straightforward, and professional!

Super Happy with the crew from Hometown Tree Experts. Our HOA contracted with them to remove a dozen or so trees that the builder planted in our community which are inappropriate (too large, etc.) for the site. The staff did a great job working around our existing homes, infrastructure, and landscaping and I was pleasantly surprised by how they were able to grind the stumps while working around other existing plants close by. Overall, great quality of work and at a very good price too. (This review is posted by the HOA President.)
