LeafFilter Gutter Protection

I met with Jim (Regional Sales Manager) of LeafFilter and his sales approach was aggressive, and a typical salesman show and dance.
My appointment was for 11am and he arrived at 9am. My wife works from home so she answered the door and told him that I (her husband) would not be back until 11am. First red flag
When Jim arrived at 11am he wanted to come inside and give his pitch, but I told him my wife was on a conference call and it was best to talk on my front steps. He insisted that he needed my wife there which I reiterated that she is working, and I can make the decision. He said that if he goes he’s not coming back and no one can give me the price he can give - second red flag
About 10minutes into his sales pitch I asked what was the cost. He said he needed to measure the gutters first and then continued his pitch. When we finally did walk to see the gutters he had no measuring tape ( I told him what the measurements were) – 3rd red flag.

After he worked up a price and gave his “special 25% discount” – I told him I had one more contractor who was going to look at my gutters --- well Jim attitude changed and became aggressive. And he kept on bringing up me having to talk to my wife to make a decision which I don’t know WHY that was a pitching point with him. He also said, if he goes he’s not coming back and no one can give me the price he can give -

To say the least Jim has turned me away from your product and company.

I'm happy with the product. I was impressed that the crew came out in snow & ice to install it. Because of the ice they had to take more than 1 day to do the work. It looks good, I see water flowing out of the downspout. Their ladder did crease my downspout but it was under the snow so the crew didn't realize it came out that far. Otherwise we'll see how it fairs in a wet spring and hot summer.

We had LeafFilter installed about a month ago and have been impressed so far. We previously were using gutter guards similar to the Gutter Helmet design. We are surrounded by trees so during the fall, they were constantly getting clogged with leaves. Whenever it rained, the gutters were overflowing and we had problems with water getting behind the siding. Ever since we had LeafFilter installed, we no longer have water running over the gutters or down the sides of the house. I will say it is a bit expensive but we figured the cost was worth it as the water damage from a failed gutter system would be more expensive to fix. Definitely recommend having this system installed if your budget allows.
