The first plumber they sent couldn't solve the problem and wasted nearly 4 hours going back and forth our house trying the same thing that didn't work. He also left cigarette butts all over our driveway and was screaming/cussing for the last 2 hours he was there. They ended up sending a second plumber the next day who solved the problem in 1 hour. They did give us a small discount but it still ended up costing us more than $800 for something that only took 1 hour to fix. Also the owner was rude and argumentative when we tried to explain the issue.

I really appreciate the support, communication, and reasonable pricing! I will be spreading the word in the Elkridge community.

JJ came out and did an awesome job identifying the issue with my water heater and getting the parts ordered/installed right away

I have always gotten EXCELLENT service from him. FAIR prices, timely responses, and never a call back.
He is my and my family's go-to plumber.
Edit: Needed him again, and again got timely service at a fair price. -
Don't hire this company. Wasting your money and time. Simple work, twice inspection failures. never keep the schedule- max. 2 weeks for construction and inspection on the contract and it has been already 2 months. none shows up three time without any notice.
One time, Cathxxxx, a schedule manager calls me at 10 am to confirm the schedule for 11 am in the same day. none show-up, no future appointment, and no apology!!! I got his number from Angie's list. -
I do business with MARK BREW PLUMBING & HEATING INC and have personally been inside their office. This small business is run by great people that are incredibly hard workers. Excellent communication allowing for us to do a less than 24-hour turnaround on a service request!

We hired to replace our water heater. A guy came out for inspection which took all of 10 minutes, which was fine.
On installation day they completely uninstalled our old system, got it up and outside, brought the new one down and realized it was too big for the door. Obviously something they should have figured out beforehand.. so they had to demo half of the door frame and break into the wall to fit the new system, otherwise we would have had to wait without water. At least a month later (And a set appointment where nobody showed up), the door frame was finally repaired but It still has chunks taken out of it from the demo job. Absolutely unprofessional, and I am still finding pieces of wood and metal shards all over my floor (Even after vacuuming). Please choose someone else. -
They responded quickly. The tech showed up with the right equipment, and did the job right the first time. The cost was 20% below the other bid (and it was an expensive project, which I knew going in).
On budget. On time. Left no mess. Answered all my questions. This is a smaller firm that provides service like they care; not some big, impersonal company that sends out the trainee du jour.
Use them. Thank me later. -
Called Mark Brew plumbing when my well pump started tripping the breaker. We asked for a written estimate and were told the plumber would need to look at the system first. Ok so the plumber came out misdiagnosed the problem as a “control box” picked up the wrong one first then left again and came back with the correct part, but it didn’t fix the problem. Now I needed a pump, ok I asked for a written estimate for new wire and pump (multiple times) I explained I wanted the exact same brand and size pump. I waited for a written estimate that never came, I looked outside and they were hooking up the pump to my old wire, so I went outside and explained I had never received a written estimate and therefore had not approved the work, further inspection revealed they were installing a 7GPM pump not the 5GPM pump that I requested. The plumber himself advised this was not a good idea due to the ability to over tax my 4.5 GPM well recovery. Furthermore, I had explained to the plumber that my existing wiring had been spliced/repaired two times before from rubbing. So why would you use the old wire?

Excellent attention. Spoke with owner Mark Brew in person. He is very courteous and helpful.
Excellent service. Knowledgeable, capable, efficient, experienced plumber/technician.
Schedule for service accommodated my schedule so that I could meet my other commitments.
Very much better than other plumbing companies which use heavy advertising to claim their services are better. Companies that charge a low initial fee will charge higher fees for work needed and use marketing strategies to lock customers into signing contracts without getting a second opinion on options for work needed and alternative pricing.
I highly recommended Mark Brewer Plumbing. -
Earlier this month we noticed a leak in our hot water heater. Mid-day we called Mark Brew Plumbing and within hours they were at our home diagnosing the issue. We ended up needing a replacement hot water heater and through a follow up call that same day, plans were in place to order a new unit (we were given clear options on what type) and to schedule delivery and install for the following day. Rates were fair and service techs were courteous. Following install (within 26 hours of initial call to them!) there was a billing snafu (my fault) and they handled it graciously. We will use Mark Brew Plumbing again!

Great company. I contacted them yesterday about an issue and they were onsite the next morning bright and early. I will continue to turn to these guys when I have a plumbing issue!

Very poor service. Came to diagnose small leak in heating system. After several thousand dollars of repairs — most of what seemed to go to paying their “expert” to watch videos on his phone waiting for the manufacturer to tell him how to make the repairs — we are left with the same leak. They diagnosed the problem incorrectly several times each time recommending a different and expensive repair. We complained to the owner who promised then come by and check the problem himself. We, of course, never heard from them again. Find a different company.
