My family and I have used Jiffy Plumbing and Heating, 4623 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781 for years and they have never let us down. They rate 5 of 5 Stars every time they show up. And today I want to recognize HVAC technician Sean for providing excellent customer service. He came in checked the furnace and within a short period of time assessed what the problem was, explained what needed to be done and made the necessary repairs. He was knowledgeable, efficient and very personable. And the work was done for a fair price. Next time you need HVAC work ask for Sean. He won't let you down

My experience was fairly bizarre. To keep the story short, they solved my initial toilet flushing issue, but caused it to leak (which it was Not doing before.) They said they'd fix this free of charge, due to the 'guarantee', except they didn't. The plumber missed aprox. 3 appointments to resolve the leak issue, charged a credit card hundreds of dollars without authorization, and made up a bizarre story to the owner of my condo that there was 'usual sexual activity' that caused the toilet to leak. (Yes, this really happened.) I felt extremely uncomfortable after the 'sexual' comment, and I will Never do business with them again. If you'd like to be creeped out, as well as wait around for days for the plumber to show up, go with this company. But, I'm sure there are several other plumbers in the area who could do the job with much more decency.

If I could give no stars, I would. I called to schedule an inspection of my gas fireplace. We agreed on a date and a 4 hour window. I took off work to be home and wait. 3 hours into the window, I called to check the status. They told me that whoever gave me that time frame was wrong because they "don't schedule times for fireplace inspections". Well, someone did, so they need to honor that. But no. So I asked when someone would be here, they couldn't tell me. They CLAIM their system was down all morning and couldn't get to the information to call me and tell me they wouldn't be here. They asked me if I wanted to reschedule, what's the purpose of rescheduling and wasting another day off work to wait for HOURS? And the irony? The advertisement when they put you on hold talks all about professionalism and customer empathy! What a joke! Mika said she would call back when she had an approximate time someone would be here, but couldn't even tell me when she would call me back.
