Tree reviews in Joppatowne, Maryland

Stellar service, exceptional customer response. We had a tree branch fall and called Cleartree who were recommended by our contractor. The response was outstanding. The crew was able to come and take down the branch and make additional treatment and repair in a day. I recommend them highly

I found ClearTree to be a very accommodating business, from my initial phone call, onsite pricing of the job, what to expect, the actual removal, clean up, paying for the work and the office staff sending me the final documentation. All of the employees I had contact with were very pleasant, accommodating and professional. The best thing, was that I did not have to do anything, not even clean up, when they were done. This is the way to do business and their price was good. If necessary, I would definitely use them again. Thank you and your staff.

Once again detailed planning was needed to take down a huge dead oak tree that was next to power lines and close to my house and a main road. Everything was choreographed for minimal traffic disruption as well as no damage to neighboring bushes, shrubs, trees and my house.  The small crew did an extraordinary job and everything was so clean, you never knew they were even there.  I would highly recommend their services.

We have used the services of Cleartree on several occasions and have always been very pleased with their professionalism. When I called the office someone came the next day to give me their recommendation for the work to be done and I had a quote the same day. Would not hesitate to highly recommend their company.

Cary’s crew was so impressive. They had all the equipment necessary and incredible skill. The team worked so efficiently together. It was a well oiled machine. They took great care of the ground and cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend them to anyone who asks!

By far the most professional tree experts we have used! They did an outstanding job removing several trees in tight spots, stumps were ground down so couldn’t even tell there was a tree there! They trimmed and cleaned several areas…and the yard looked great when they finished! Will def use them again…you should too!

Cleartree is the best company in the area for any kind of tree work. They are reasonable as well. I just had work done ahead of schedule, because they were kind enough to call me when something opened up. The work they did definitely exceeded my expectations. They removed a tree and left the ground level and clear. They contacted my next door neighbors to let them know about the job because the tree was close to the property line. The way they work is safe and efficient. If I could give them a 10 I would. I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of the foreman but he deserves a big pat on the back, as do all the workers.

I’ve used ClearTree several times for tree removals and tree trimmings. A technician came out to view the work to be done and sent a cost estimate for the service by the next day. On the day of appointment, workers arrived on time, completed the work, removed and cleaned up all debris. Grass seed was applied to all barren areas. The invoice presented was at the cost estimated, no extra costs were imposed. I have extremely pleased with the work done and recommend this company for any work you need to have done.

It is a pleasure to provide a review of this excellent organization.
We engaged ClearTree to remove a storm damaged silver maple. Soon after Tim assessed the damage and cost, and prior to the major removal of the whole tree, a large limb partially broke and endangered our neighbor's beautiful new fence. One worried phone call to ClearTree, and though their schedules were full, they worked out a time when they could climb and remove the limb threatening our neighbor’s very expensive new fence. We and our neighbors, I’m sure, were very grateful.
Our experience with ClearTree has always engendered trust and confidence. On a prior occasion when they removed large trees and some deep-rooted smaller trees adjacent to our home, they listened carefully to our concerns. We appreciated their taking steps to respect and preserve our property. For the current project, but for some graded fill dirt, it appears that the tree just disappeared.
To a person, they are great listeners. Their equipment is technically remarkable, and they are expert at using it. They perform like a well-rehearsed team.

We have used ClearTree on multiple occasions. They have removed trees as well as trimmed our trees. We have found Mike and his team to be very responsive and extremely knowledgeable and they offer multiple recommendations to help keep our trees beautiful and healthy.

If I could give a 10 star rating I would. I had a very large tree that was struck by lighting. The Clear Tree crew arrived promptly on time, remove the damaged tree and left my yard in better shape then when they found it. The tree was very close to my house and I was tremendously impressed by how they surgically removed each large limb protecting our home and while being extremely safety conscience safeguarding their team. This was a well oiled professional crew. This is the second time I have used Clear Tree and if the need comes up again I will absolutely be calling them a third time.

Sincerely,
Dan Tress

One of the hottest days of the year when Ray and his crew took care of some huge dead limbs in my pine tree. Close to my fence, my irrigation system, grass, and pool, my wife just asked me if they were done. They left my yard exactly how they found it and you wouldn’t have known they even completed work today. My grass on the other side of my fence looks as if I just mowed. Thanks again for your wonderful customer service and absolute professionalism.

Extremely happy with our choice of Clear Tree. Everyone was very professional, from sales, service and the work crew were a pleasure work with. This is our third job with Clear Tree and I highly recommend them.

Very responsive, showed up on time, did what we asked and what they quoted. We had one large tree removed, stump ground out and additional pruning on a 2nd tree. The crew was extremely professional and courteous. Would recommend .

I had no idea what to expect when the job entailed removing a 150+ foot tree from our back yard. Safety was Clear Tree’s immediate and top priority and that was delivered from start to finish. The crew worked with such efficiency and absolute accuracy to boot. In addition, the crew took great care in making sure the site is safe for my children to occupy even after the tree was removed. We could not be happier with the service and overall result of Clear Tree’s work. THANK YOU for taking such great care!

We have had ClearTree to our home on 3 separate occasions. Whether it was to prune our huge maple trees or remove trees, this company is excellent at what they do. The staff in the office is always pleasant when answering the phone and scheduling appointments; Tim, the estimator, is always nice to deal with and really knows his trees; and the crew that comes out to do the tree work is always professional and does a great job from start to finish. We would highly recommend their service to anyone who needs tree work.
D & G Smith, Customers in Bel Air

We have used three or four tree service companies here over the years. Our recent first time experience with ClearTree was excellent. They stood head and shoulders above the others.

Tim listened closely and provided a precise estimate in a timely manner for the tree trimming we needed. Natalie in the office helped by adjusting the schedule for me. The work crew arrived on time, were professional, and cleaned up thoroughly. I especially liked how the crew chief kept me in the loop regarding decisions about cutting a couple specific limbs. Finally the owner, Mike, followed up with me to see if I was satisfied with ClearTree’s work.

Truly a five star company and it didn’t hurt that their price was the best offer I received.

Clear Tree were extremely professional and did a fantastic job. We had two very large trees near the house that needed to be removed. They removed the trees without any problems and left the area in pristine condition. You can't even tell where the stump used to be. I would highly recommend them!

Cleartree is the premier tree service in Harford County. Aside from the quality work and professional staff, the owner is a standup guy.

I had a tree on my house after a horrible storm and we needed a crane to lift it off. Due to the demand on the cranes because there were a lot of power outages, I was waiting with a literal 50ft tree resting into and across my house.

Mike, the owner told me the grim reality....a crane was going to be hard to come by but he would get to me first when a crane became available. And, even though he probably could have went and got cash payment from the highest bidder.....Cleartree kept their promise and truly saved my home. Mike kept his word and I could feel his genuine concern for me and my home.

In today's world this company is a prime example of doing things the right way. My 5 star review doesnt seem like much when sitting here with hundreds of other perfect reviews. But my experience made an impression on me and I'll use and recommend Cleartree any chance I get.

Mike gave me a little peace of mind when I was close to losing it.

And, another huge point that needs to be made....the entire crew were professional and good at their job. I've been around a lot of working crews and I could see leadership, professionalism and guys that knew what the heck they were doing. From the crew leader to the sawmen, equipment handlers, clean up.......everybody was professional and I felt comfortable and confident with this crew pulling a roughly 50 ft, 10,000 lb maple tree off my house.

Thanks again to everyone at Cleartree.

Cleartree did an excellent job removing a very large dead tree at my house today. It was in a wooded area but very close to my house. With all of the wind we’ve been having it was very worrisome. They came a couple of weeks earlier than expected and it was much appreciated. The guys were very friendly and professional.
Highly recommend!!!!!

Clear Trees of Joppa did a wonderful job trimming our trees in October 2025! Mike and his crew were very professional, efficient, and completed the work in no time. They also did an excellent job cleaning up afterward — our yard looked fantastic when they were done. Highly recommend their services!
