Last weekend I travelled to DC. While there, I purchased a gift card for my 86 year old aunt for her birthday. She was excited to use it as soon as she received it. imagine her surprise when she found that the gift card was empty - no value. This was embarrassing for her - and for me when she immediately called me. Of course she doesn’t use Cash App or Zelle, so now I have to mail her a check to cover the gift card since she only went out because she believed I was treating! This is so disappointing especially since I had to wait in a separate line in customer service to even get the gift card in the first place. (Now I’m concerned that the 4 other gift cards that my mom and sister also purchased there won’t work either!) I will definitely think twice about purchasing another gift card at Walmart.

Incredibly well stocked and staffed for the holidays. While most stores seem to be selling out of their Christmas items this store seems to have anticipated a huge Christmas buying season. Hundreds of trees, thousands of Christmas ornaments and lights but again most importantly, at least on this trip they were adequately staffed with friendly associates who are making the holiday season more brighter.
