We had a great experience with Potomac HVAC. We reached out to them during very cold temperatures when our heat pump suddenly started shaking and were worried we would have no heat for the night. They responded immediately, communicated great, and fixed the problem all within an hour. Definitely recommend!

Mike was amazing! We had a storm come through here on a Friday, then on Saturday our AC unit stopped working. We didn't realize this until around early evening, and by that point it was difficult to get a hold of anyone. Of the three HVAC services I was able to get through to someone, only Mike was able to come out that day, and he was at our place in 15 minutes.

As it turned out our 18-year-old AC unit (coil and compressor) needed to be replaced, which wasn't much of a surprise, and Mike was an all-star through the entire process. He didn't charge us for coming out to see what the problem was, and he sent us a quote that night. He then stopped by again on Sunday to take measurements, and then on Tuesday he came to do the entire job. And what a job he did! Our new AC system works exceptionally well and we couldn't be happier. But Mike went above and beyond the AC replacement.

Through the process Mike found that the coolant connection to our old compressor had a bottleneck that went from a certain circumference down to a smaller one right before the compressor, and he cut off that section of bottleneck. But then to make it connect it to the new compressor he moved the entire base to be closer to where the coolant went into the wall. He literally asked me for a shovel so he could move the concrete base.

Then he also noticed that our furnace pipe was rusted and basically falling apart, and he replaced sections of it as well, without an additional fee.

Perhaps the only takeaway you need to hear is that Mike has won us as loyal customers. So long as we're in the area, we will be calling Mike and only Mike for any/all HVAC needs.

Excellent customer service. Mahdi runs his own company and is extremely knowledgeable. There was an issue with our furnace on the coldest day of the year, he is the only person who would come out that day. He has earned my future business and very lucky to find such a knowledgeable HVAC professional. I would not hesitate to use him for any future work. Posting this review as other reviews helped me when trying to find someone on short notice and hope it helps others .

My HVAC system started leaking water. Mahdi diagnosed the issue and showed me why he thinks the compressor is not doing its job. He recommended a HVAC system that was offering a deal and gave me a great price for the installation of the entire system. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was working as expected. He ran several checks to make sure the system was operating as intended. He assured to come back if and when there is a need. He is very pleasent to work with.

We had a unit installed and we got new duct set up in part of the house. Fantastic work with excellent attention to details. Very professional, in explaining the issues, recommending solutions, and getting the work done in a timely manner. Loved the end result. Highly recommended.

We had our mini split serviced by another company but the repair didn’t last. Potomac HVAC came out and correctly diagnosed the issue and my unit was up and running in no time. He explained what the problem was and what needed to be fixed. The cost was fair for the work performed. Would use again for any future issues.

Mike is an absolute professional. He was knowledgeable, punctual and explained exactly what was going on with my AC unit. After getting several companies to come out and inspect the problem, he was the only one that was able to identify the issue. We had two other companies recommend that we replace the entire system since they could not find the problem. Within 5 minutes, Mike saw that a pipe was clogged and within 30 minutes, the issue had been fixed. I paid $120 for the service and I couldn’t be happier. The estimate from the two other contractors ranged from $6-9k as they both recommend that we replace the entire system. I will definitely recommend Mike to my friends and family!

I had HVAC issue that I needed someone to look into quickly in Washington DC. My compressor is on the roof which makes it a bit tricky to get to. Mehdi was able to quickly take my service call, diagnose, and repair the issue in less than one hour. This is the second time I have used him for two different properties. Both times he has been extremely professional, responsive, and been able to diagnose/resolve the issue fairly quickly. I also consider his price very fair compare to others I have used before.

After my AC broke I had to consult A few companies but after a referral from an old friend I contacted Potomac HVAC. They showed up on time as promised, they are very professional. Mr. Mahdi was polite and knowledgeable he knows the Ins and Outs of almost everything that had to do with HVAC he explained the job to be done step by step and he took measures to everything including the airflow to the unit’s closet. They came next day removed my old unit and replaced it with a new one in less than a day of work, AC/ Furnace/ condenser… hoses pipes…etc.
Mr . Mahdi came back next day to make sure again that everything was working properly and promised to visit again in the mid summer when it gets hotter.
Their prices are lower considerably than other HVAC services. By the way they left the work area spotless. I am so happy With their work I would definitely consider them again and referred them only to my closes friends.

I needed to replace my 5 ton 410 heat pump with another pump. All the other local HVAC wanted to sell me more than I needed but Mike listened and replaced just my heat pump. His prices were far lower than the local HVAC companies. He's honest.
