This is a bittersweet review. Jason, you're a cool guy, and that's why I put my trust in your business for all these months. I should not have. "What's your budget?" is not something you should ask anyone ever again. If I had industry knowledge, I obviously would not need to hire you. My ignorance was taken advantage of to the highest degree.

Jason, you quoted me $975 for a 2-hr thermostat rewiring job, a cost that you claim was discounted from $1700. When I call you back, you are (somehow) able to bring the price down to $700 because of my customer loyalty. A 100ft 18/8 copper spool costs $60 on Amazon. Where did you get $275? And why are you charging $230 p/hr of labor? Mind you, this is the math from your "discounted" price of $700, since the job typically costs almost $2k.

You had a chance to be honest. If this is what customer loyalty gets me, I do not want to be loyal. It is difficult to look back at prior service with trust, but I still have appreciation for the explanations you gave and positive attitude you had for all the other jobs you have done for us. It's with great disappointment that I write this review. My main intention to post this is so that no other "loyal customer" is subject to such an experience. I hope you itemize your services in the future.

By the way, we got the thermostat installed today with another company. The total came to $328.
