Constraction reviews in Silver Spring, Maryland

I had an amazing experience with Apex Roofing and Construction. Tom, the owner was very knowledgeable, courtesy and precise with his assessment of my roofing issues. He didn’t just speak the construction lingo but took the time to explain to my level of understanding. I received multiple estimates, but Toms pricing was more reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking roof repairs and construction!

Apex Roofing and Construction has done several roofs in my community. Working with them was a great experience! Tom and his team we were professional from start to finish. From the moment Tom came to examine our storm-damaged roof, to the questions he answered quickly and thoroughly by email, to the fine professionals who replaced our roof - everyone was absolutely top-notch. The work was performed on time and on budget, which was a tremendous relief! Tom worked within our insurance company's estimate and provided additional labor/support on improvements we wanted to make. We absolutely felt like a valued customer and can't recommend them enough to our friends and neighbors! We love our new roof!

My experience with Apex Roofing and Construction was amazing from start to finish. Tom came out and did the quote himself. He was responsive throughout the process of ordering a skylight, and was so patient and helpful when answering my questions. The Apex crew consistently arrived on time and completed the work earlier than I anticipated. I would also love to mention that Tom stopped by after the work was completed to ensure everything was done accordingly and with high quality. Truly a great experience!

Tom did a great job explaining the materials options I had for my low slope roof. He was a straightforward professional and effective communicator throughout the entire project. We ran into some weather issues when the scheduled repair date came along, but Tom was able to get me rescheduled for the same week. The crew was on-time and did excellent work, paying extra attention to the chimney flashing where I had a leak. After several heavy rains everything is still dry. No mess left behind after the work was completed, and Tom provided some nice drone shots of the project afterward. Very satisfied and will be recommending Apex to anyone who needs roofing work.

Apex Roofing and Construction delivered top-notch service from start to finish. The team was professional, punctual, and skilled. They completed my roof replacement on time and exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend for anyone in Maryland needing roofing services.

Tom was great to work with, and he impressed us as trustworthy and professional throughout the entire process. We had to reschedule a couple times and work around bad weather, but Tom made that easy and was always very responsive to our questions and requests along the way. The crew worked fast and and efficiently and cleaned up the surrounding well when the job was complete. Overall, it was a well done job for a fair price and without the any pressure or surprises.

My mom is so happy with her new roof! From the initial meeting/walkthrough throughout instillation and even clean-up the team was efficient, friendly and did a fabulous job. The price was in the expected range so that was a plus! Overall we felt comfortable in choosing Apex. Glad we did and we would highly recommend 10/10!

A massive tree 100+ year old tree fell on my house during a storm and split the top floor in half! :( Other companies came and gave jacked up prices and said they couldn't start for several weeks to months. Working with Apex was a very easy process. I was provided an estimate very quickly via email. The owner intentionally told me that he would not pressure me into signing a contract while the other roofing companies gave me an entire pitch and then pressured me to sign. They really made this process easy and the roof looks terrific. Even the insurance agent couldn't believe how quickly they finished the work. I am extremely pleased!

The service I received from Tom and his crew at Apex was outstanding. From the first visit until the final inspection, everything was handled with absolute professionalism and care. Cannot recommend this company enough. Great customer service, honest work and fair prices. Exactly what you’d hope for!!

The service I received from Tom and his crew at Apex was exceptional. Tom isn’t just out to win business—he’s focused on providing honest value to anyone in need of a quality roof. Great customer service, fair pricing, and genuine workmanship—exactly what you hope for in a contractor!

Our 20+ year-old roof was damaged in a storm in October 2022, leading to water damage in our master bedroom. Our skylight was also damaged. Once we had our solar panels de-installed, Apex came and installed a new roof with HOA-approved shingles and a new skylight in one day. They also replaced rotted wood on the front of our house with PVC painted to match the HOA-approved color. The Apex crew was professional and cleaned afterwards, and our representative Tom Bahrami followed up to inspect the final results. We are impressed by both the Owens Corning 20-year warranty on the shingles, and by Apex's 10-year warranty on their work. Overall we are very satisfied with our repairs, and we recommend Apex highly for your home roofing and construction needs.

I had a great experience with Apex Roofing and Construction. Tom worked well communicating with myself and my insurance to replace my full roof. Explained the details of the work needed in a clear manner. Price was very reasonable. When work was scheduled, the crew was on time and very efficient. Constantly working on the roof throughout the day to get it done. Very hard working crew. Cleaned up my yard and neighbor's yards. Happy I chose them for the job.

A great company and excellent work

These guys do everything and do it well. We had them finish our attic, repoint our house, paint, do landscaping. They are more expensive now that they are established, but still a very good value.

The Bonillas are a favorite in my neighborhood. After my father's death, I had my house totally renovated. I gave the Bonillas free reign to do what they wanted but I picked out the colors. My home was so beautiful that I could hardly believe my eyes. Then I had Miquel make raised beds, a meditation center in the back yard and a corral for the trash cans. He even made stairs up the hill to the water outlet. My husband retired from the trades and he said the price presented was exactly correct. He even told me to the penny what they would charge me so they were not overcharging. Undercharging would mean cheap products.

I have relied on Bonilla construction for more than a decade for everything from major remissions to small homes tasks and they always do an excellent job! In addition to their great work, they are easy to work with. They communicate well, discuss all options, and keep you updated on their progress. I highly recommend working with this family- owned business.

Bonilla Construction did an outstanding job on our basement renovation! They completed the project on time and within our budget, which we really appreciated. The crew kept the jobsite clean and were always respectful. We’re thrilled with the final result and would highly recommend them!

Bonilla Construction LLC exceeded all of our expectations! From start to finish, their team was incredibly professional, reliable, and trustworthy. They remodeled our kitchen, and not only was the project completed on time, but the quality of the work was absolutely immaculate. Every detail was handled with care and precision, leaving us with a stunning kitchen that we couldn’t be happier with.

In addition to the kitchen remodel, they also completed some painting and masonry work as part of the project, and the results were equally impressive. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly set them apart. We highly recommend Bonilla Construction for any remodeling, painting, or masonry work you need. They are a company you can trust to deliver exceptional results!

Edwin, Miguel and the rest of the crew were wonderful to work with. They are meticulous, courteous, prompt and have a strong sense of pride in their work. They renovated our garage, "hardscaped" our yard and fixed problems with our leaky basement, all within budget and on a faster pace/timeline than we expected. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend them!

We hired Bonilla Construction to convert a detached garage into an apartment. They did an excellent job, which even impressed county inspectors. It was a big project, but in the end we had a well built, independent apartment to rent out. One thing I appreciated was there were no surprises on cost; they stuck to their estimate. While waiting for the many permits required to build in our historic district, we had them work on a few side projects — including shoring up a corner of our house’s foundation. All the projects were well done and the costs were as estimated. I would recommend this company for your construction projects.
